Create asset groups around distinct themes or “offers”. As a non profit it might be weird to think of it as an “offer”. But you do have an offer, you are trying to get people to do something right? And you are offering something in return. For example you might be wanting them to donate money to sponsor a child, and you’re offering in return the feeling of being a kind and good person. Think about what your offers are and what themes you have and structure around that. For example. UNICEF might have one “offer” which is to donate to support children in Gaza. And a different “offer” they have might be to donate to support reduction of domestic violence in Haiti. These “offers” (or you could even call them services) each have a different “theme” and thus would fall into different asset groups.
I think this could be a new thing. Google have been fighting against feed only campaigns for a while now. I remember end of last year they already said “if you don’t add assets, we will just grab assets from your website.” After that, yeah we started to see feed only campaigns not work as intended anymore, as google was just grabbing assets and putting ads on to all the networks anyway. To me, this sounds like google have gone one step further and just said “actually, mate, we’re just gonna not let you even run a feed only campaign in the first place.” TBH I am not surprised. As I say, seems google have not been a fan of us doing feed only campaigns for a while.
Try first to first publish a campaign with a normal Asset group. Then go th the campaign, create Feed only Asset group, publish it. Then pause your normal Asset group. That works for me.
Honestly, for ecommerce I've never had a good experience adding images, videos, texts + feed together. For me, this is detrimental and it takes time for the algorithm to understand which network is right to convert and also the factor due to the amount of information in a single campaign. For me this takes time and it takes longer to improve. I've always had better results with just FEED or just adding public signals, but recently I noticed a drop in performance, now nothing works for me anymore...
In my experience when people say they had problems when adding image and video assets, in actual fact the problem was with their targets & KPIs. Also, not long ago Google told us that for feed only campaigns they are just gonna auto generate the assets. And, much more recently, I have seen reports that Google has now moved to just flat out denying you the ability to run feed only.
Hi Daryl Thanks for the helpful video ,i currently have a message saying my ad has unacceptable spacing ,but for the life of me i cant see what its referring to or how to look for it ,maybe you could point me in the right direction cheers michael
Hey sorry I am not super familiar with this error type. Maybe somewhere in the ad you have two spaces in a row? Not really sure. Maybe try recreating the ad from scratch.
Hello you videos are great. My ads giving 300% Roas in april. In may google suspended My account they after appeal its reopened in May in 15 Days. After that my Roas is less than 50% what will be the reason is it suspension. ?
When you say ROAS is 50%… what bid strategy are you using and how many conversions do you see in that time period that had 50% ROAS? Assuming you are using Target ROAS, then just set the target ROAS you want and then wait for around 100 conversions. Often times people think they have low ROAS, but either they are using the wrong bid strategy and/or they are looking at too few conversions.
@@DarylManderbigflare We were getting more than 400 conversions per ad campaign and achieving ROAS of 200%-300%, especially in April. However, after our account was suspended and later reopened, we’ve been struggling to maintain the same ROAS. Currently, we are not using Target ROAS or Target CPA strategies due to the lower performance. My question is: Could the account suspension have a lasting impact on performance after reopening? Additionally, we are running two PMAX campaigns with audience or visitor targeting and two Search campaigns also focused on audience targeting. I’ve noticed that new customer acquisition seems low, and it feels like the machine learning system is targeting our existing customers more heavily. Could this be a reason for the overall decline in ROAS? I would appreciate it if you could share your insights and discuss this further. If possible, please provide your email so we can explore ways to improve our Google Ads performance. Thank you.

@@duastroo It's possible the account suspension impacted things, although I wonder if the impact was actually in-direct rather than direct. Meaning, the account suspension caused you to change targets, changing targets then resulted in different results. Not clear exactly how targets changed and whether or not I would have agreed with that decision. How would you use the asset creation/generation for a Pmax that is for a non profit that does not have a product or service?

Performance of specific assets is evaluated based on which metric?
Google doesn’t tell us lol. Presumably based on a mix of CTR and conversion based metrics.
@@DarylManderbigflare yep... I'm looking forward to implementation of performance data at asset level, hopefully we'll get them for RSA as well.
