    White vinegar, tooth picks work fine. If you have any of those teeth cleaning Christmas Trees I call them they will fit perfectly in the holes and a twist usually cleans out the holes.

      Ive heard tooth picks are a bad idea. Use a metal pin or metal wire

    It's not always the obvious... My 2 year old Stoves gas hob started clicking incessantly. Like you and countless others, I assumed it was an igniter or gas supply fault. I spent an hour or two faffing about with cotton buds, Isoclean (Isopropanol cleaning fluid), kitchen roll, hairdryer, etc., but all to no avail. Stoves, the manufacturer, said they could send an engineer to fix the fault for £140. Being really mean (!!!) I scoured the Web and came across another possible cause. I removed the actual control knobs to inspect them and immediately spotted one with a 3mm glob of greasy gunge, presumably accumulated gradually during regular cleaning. 10 seconds later, after a scrape with a pointy thing… SORTED. Incidentally, I have no idea why this could have been responsible.

      @janeatyeo7387 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How did you you get the knobs off? Just pull it off?

    • @Tr1kx
      @Tr1kx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@janeatyeo7387 I don't recall it being difficult. I just pulled them vertically upwards. Try spraying some WD40 about the knobs, then leave for 20 minutes to soften. Even better perhaps, you could try waving a hair dryer around (but be careful).

    my new kitchen aid kcgc506jss keeps clicking after turning on gas. Some burners only click when the gas is turned low. FYI We don't use natural gas, we use LP Gas instead, so we had to convert it. Any idea what the issue might be?

    When I have one burner lit, the non-active burners will click intermittently. Any ideas?

    • @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel
      @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question Susan,
      Whenever you turn on one burner all the burners actually will click.
      The burner that you lit thinks that the flame is not present so it continues to try to light by clicking.
      Can you try and get the burner cap for that one burner to be nice and centered.
      If the burner cap is not in the correct position The flame will not bathe the igniter and the stove will think that the burner is not lit.

      One of your burners probably got wet.
      You can use a blow dryer to try and dry it out.

    My problem is with big pans, not enough air gets to the flame, so the sensor starts clicking. Rigged it so the cooking grate is 2" higher, problem solved.
