    Arguably one of the greatest match Angler’s of all time giving advice that has been fine tuned over the years and you still get unheard of fishing experts with stupid comments like ‘use a bigger net’ and ‘why not just throw the bait in instead of cupping it in’ really guys? I bet they would tel Ronnie O Sullivan he’s not playing Snooker correctly 😂😂

    "slip him back in the net and get his brother" brilliant!

  • @Legendcarew
    @Legendcarew 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    brilliant advise but what if the carp are not taking maggots or corn do you switch to another bait there and then aswel as in your ground bait or?

    • @JohnyKew1234
      @JohnyKew1234 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd advise using 2 mm or 4 mm soaked coarse pellet in your groundbait, and fish a single 8 mm coarse pellet for your hook bait. Or fish a big lump of paste over the top of the groundbait. Hope that helped, Tight lines!

    hey steve, why do you always use a keepnet when pleasure fishing? surly that stresses the fish being in a net. a lot of venues I fish say no keepnets unless it's a contest.

    • @poppypoopapie
      @poppypoopapie 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Carp are the most hardy fish in lakes. Fishery owners would not allow this if their livlehood was at stake. Stop carp fishing, there are other species to catch.

    love see him fish at an everyday commercial with more anglers fishing two, always seems to be that he has a full lake to himself

    Seen a few of these vids. Although nice to watch fishing in heavily stocked carp fisheries is not my thing. Give me a challenge of a wild river quest any day.

    • @chrissmith8081
      @chrissmith8081 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      river carp are easyer to catch if you know where they are on the rivers at any given time of year.. I know my local rivers very well and the fishing there is easyer if your in the right place for the carp. But i also like to stay away from the busy lakes to many people and to much presure.

    People telling the best commercial match angler in the UK to use a bigger landing net... That's a bit like telling Phil Taylor that he's using the wrong type of darts...

      Not really them carp should be caught in bigger nets so stfu

      doesn't matter who you are. There are lots of top anglers who make basic mistakes if you watch their videos carefully enough.

    • @Writeous0ne
      @Writeous0ne 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      hows it a mistake? that nets more than big enough to catch what he's after. what difference is it gonna make if the nets a few inches wider and deeper?

    • @billyboy4248
      @billyboy4248 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    whats the pole length?

  • @proprioceptive44
    @proprioceptive44 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    He wants noise yet he is using a pole pot at five yards what is the point just lob a few balls in = noise and spread bait

    • @mattwooldridge990
      @mattwooldridge990 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      difference is lobbing balls of groundbait in is different to the noise of pellets going in it will spook them

    • @debbiemess9433
      @debbiemess9433 4 ปีที่แล้ว
