I think Isaac should try the paper mashe again. I think it was a good idea and would love to see it work. I think that the layer on the ball was too thin. Also doing a tiny hole in the ball for the air to very slowly leak out as it dries may help reduce the breakage from the paper shrinking as it dries.

Issac could have used sheets dipped in concrete and put over ball and let dry, then paint. Fiberglass could have worked too.😅
Issac next time, cut the bottom of the ball and then add a metal or plumber pipe frame on the inside to keep it sturdy.
