There should be coverage on how US backed this unrest as well. Audience needs to be well informed.

The PLA's October 1989 report on the Tiananmen Square Massacre totaled 26 massacre sites from June 1st to June 10th, with a total of 31,978 killed. 10,974 were students, 7,992 were ordinary citizens, and 11,865 were unidentified individuals.

Don''t forget how many troops were murdered by shooting or being burned alive by the protesters.
The operation was supported by the US National Endowment for Democracy (NED); US radio station Voice of America; a local NGO for the “reform and opening of China” funded by US billionaire George Soros; and US color revolution expert Gene Sharp, who visited Beijing during the protests. Moreover, in early May 1989 former CIA officer James R. Lilley was appointed as US Ambassador to China.
In 1992 the Vancouver Sun revealed that the CIA had indeed supported the Tiananmen protests. Yet unlike the CIA-supported Romanian Revolution in December 1989, the Tiananmen Square protests ultimately failed. In response, a newspaper in British-controlled Hong Kong launched the bogus Tiananmen Square “massacre” story which was then amplified globally by the New York Times.
Protest leader Chai Ling previously stated in an interview that she was “hoping for bloodshed” as “only when the Square is awash with blood will the people of China open their eyes.” After the failed revolution, protest leaders were evacuated to the United States (Operation Yellowbird), where Chai Ling received an honorary degree from Princeton university and became an NGO director.

Having lived in China for 5 years as a teacher, we were strictly banned from talking about this. Consequences were instant dismissal and deportation. That's how much the Chinese authorities want to cover up this dark chapter in their history.

Well, teachers in the free world have the choice to teach very dark history if they want to do it, and we have the Internet to learn this stuff that won't be deleted and even recent history like Palestine is forever recorded online today.
China however wants to delete it from the history books on their soil, in foreign nations, to the Internet with people using the social credit meme and claiming that the massacre never existed with doctored, edited, and photoshopped photos, even going as far as to doing massing down votes and massive flagging campaigns to keep it from showing up online

In honor of those standing up to thier oppressors in our time... let us remember and give our solemn respect on this anniversary. In a time where those who lost so much and are still affected by the trauma past, and are Still in the chains of silence , we hear you roar!.....
RIP to those lost 35 short years ago, and compassion to their families and friends.
We the people are strong and together we can restore our shared humanity! ❤️

I remember 1989 Tiananmen square, we must never forget the cost of freedom. Nor forget the lives lost. From the view I have the ccp's version of governing is the power of the few, over the many.
