As a child who was raised by abusive parents, who then grew into a woman who made mistakes with men, leading to absent fatherhood for my children, this message is everso appropriate for me to hear. Thank you! ❤

Thank you for covering this topic. My dad is a violent alcoholic. In fact, my mum, who isn't a christian, used to say, "God will only let you go through what you can handle." I know now that's not quite true, but at the time, it got me curious about God. I was further abused years later by my step dad and my mum. I'm estranged from my family these days. I do pray for them. I don't hate them, but they aren't good for my mental health.

Thank you for sharing Isabella! I am sorry to hear about the history of abuse. Hurt people ussually hurt others... If God leads you to distance yourself for your mental health then you need to do it. Focus on Him and you will have peace and joy by abiding in Him

I went through this too with my own mother, then God showed me I was trying to forgive her in my own strength, instead of trusting The Holy Spirit to do it instead of me. Now, when I speak w her, w boundaries, if I don’t show love and tolerance, I know I am in my flesh/self again and I repent, get back to His indwelling Spirit. It takes practice.

I really appreciate you posting this. I have a lot of resentment towards my dad because my life was controlled by his selfishness and stepdad was verbally cruel. Im trying to forgive and though I have confessed it to God and my priest who is helping me through this, it’s very difficult. I have developed Generalized Anxiety Disorder with Depression (GADD), PCOS, and am a binge eater because of the stress that was caused. My mom had a rough childhood as well and shared this video with her as well. We both love your videos and thank you again for reaching out to us…especially ones who are wounded by the flesh.

Thank you for this video. My parents were good to me, and I thank God for that. When it comes to having a relationship with Jesus, my mom is on the right track, but my dad is an atheist. It took me awhile to truly value the scriptures and the parts that emphasize honoring your parents. Now, I take care of my mom as her family caregiver. I spiritually believe God called me to make sure that she is taken care of. As for my dad, I pray for him whenever he is on my mind. He is a good man, but I think Jesus called me to influence him back to the faith. I would love for them both to have eternal life, but I know that it isn't up to me. All I can do is pray and bare good fruit for them both to see and grow from, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Great video! I believe that God does not cause abuse and does not want anyone child to be harmed in that way and endure that hardship and abuse. It is not His heart or will and throughout the Bible we see God is against abuse. I do, however, believe that God can and will use anything and everything if we give it to Him and He will bring beauty out of ashes. Nothing is too hard or impossible for Him. I grew up with an abusive father and God has done wonders and turned it all around for me and truly gave me beauty for ashes and can and will do the same for everyone and anyone who gives it to God cause He can be trusted and is always faithful! Praise Jesus. Thank U Lord.

I needed to hear this. my mom is a Christian. But sometimes her actions and words say otherwise. It is very hard as she is a distant parent always has been. My dad is also a Christian with a "sailors' mouth" as they say. I was close to him until recently his jokes about my husband and my mom (Graphic) are becoming to much to handle. I realized I was venting to my dad and telling him everything. Putting Him in God's place which is another reason I distanced myself. I needed to hear this. But still Struggle to come around. I have no anger or resentment. I just dont know what to feel

He repented and accepted the Lord 6 months before he died, so it's easier for me to honor him because I know he is now a new creation. Also everyone remember if a parent is abusing you to not be afraid to report it and get help . God hates abuse. Also that forgiveness doesn't always mean reconciliation you can forgive them and the Lord tells us to guard our hearts above all things and if guarding your heart means going no contact or low contact for however long you would decide that's okay too. Bless them, forgive, pray for them but remember to guard your heart and keep yourself safe. God bless you all!

I was just talking about this last night with my husband who was very much abused by his dad. Jesus saved him and set him free even to this day his family still try to abuse him and judge him for being born again. We still pray for them and lift them up in glory to the Lord, hoping one day they will come to the Lord and find freedom in his love. In our hearts we know who our true Father is, children dont belong to us but were given to us as a gift from our heavenly creator. I think abusive and neglectful parents need to realise all children are Gods treasure.
    Matthew 10:28
[28]“Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

All humans sin. That said, we are to repent, which means to turn away from, sin, and walk in God and spread the word. Many people call themselves Christian but their actions and words day after day say otherwise. We can love one another but still not condone sin. We should pray for people who are lost or confused and share the word with them. With kindness and respect. The word is God breathed and good for teaching and correction and instruction. God bless you.

      Hi Robert!
Thank for sharing. To me it sounds like they mighy not be true reborn Christians who have God's Spirit in them.
So my advice would be to love them, but keep telling them the truth of scripture and pray that God will change them.
We can only share the gospel and it is God that transforms people.
It might be a good idea to share a video where I explain what it means to be a true reborn Christian and just ask your friend to watch it because you would like to hear his thoughts.
      Then pray.

As a guy who has personal father issues, I needed to hear this. If it's okay, I want to say a bit about my father:
He used to be a drunkard and an unbeliever in God. But around in 2014 or 2015 he became born again and believed in the Lord, but his attitude and actions says otherwise.
    To elaborate:
-He lacks a humble mindset to listen to others instead of being open. He's arrogant thinking he's "right all the time" instead of acknowledging when he is wrong.
-He's lazy to do simple house chores.
-When he makes mistakes, he blames others instead of being responsible for it.
-And lastly... (May God forgive me) but he takes his "worship" with God a BIT too far. Nothing wrong with worshipping Jesus, but he gained a bad habit of leaving the TV on JUST church channel instead of other channels and he even leaves it on 24/7. That's in my opinion brainwash and craziness!! And till now I HATE IT!!!!
His actions and attitude made me think that he's a guy who will NEVER change. And the church he goes to is just a "cult" telling false doctrine. I'm not 100% sure but that's what it is through my negative experiences with him.
I don't hold this... burning grudge and hatred I had with him in the past, but I choose to mind my own business and ignore him.

But even some old parents are still dangerous.

You say it's THE most important role we, as men, receive to be a father. But then you say WHEN and IF we get the opportunity. Which is a pretty substantial qualification. So does that mean the guys who cannot have children are not men? Or does it mean that because some men are sterile (or cannot have kids for other reasons) that god made them for a joke? Your explanation of this 'rule' doesn't seem to include ALL men but IS what you're prepared to claim God believes. So what does God suggest we do with these guys wha cannot have kids. Are they human at all.
    Just my opinion.

It is not God's will for all men to father their own children, but they might be a father figure to many. This is another video topic where I will speak to a different target audience.
I myself am 37 years old and medically speaking my wife and I probably will not have children, unless God wills it.
Please watch the full video and listen to what I say and my TRUE meaning behind my words as well with my intentions for the specific target audience, instead of trying to assume what you want to from your subjective perspective. I say this with a kind and loving heart. I have not once said that men who do no have children are noy men. In fact I have said in many videos that you are a male if you have been born as a male biologically.
If you were triggered by something I said because of your past or present circumstances then please take it to God, for He can help. His ways are not our ways, but His way is perfect.

My own family has never provided for me when I was in a dire situation. They are God haters

some parents are totally doomed. they have walked away from God and will never go back to Him at any time. Some of those are malicious evil creatures, and it's best we steer clear as they are malevolent to us . i wouldn't make too many generalizations if i were you. that's really your own formula but not entirely realistic.
