At 3 items+ Vladimir will win all teamfights on his own - IF it means to get a good recalll timer for himself, after pushing the enemy out of lane, he ULTS THE WAVE to kill it asap, crash it under tower and make enemy miss all the cs, he then recalls and goes back to lane.

@@demons785 Orianna, Azir, Anivia, these three are probably the hardest matchups, Malzahar is excruciating IF the enemy malz is good, Zed is decently hard before you get boots then its skill expressive but favouring vlad, Fizz is hard if you DONT have summoner aery, viktor is annoying, syndra can be cancer if you arent spacing, ekko/sylas/yone/yas can be hard if you die early on with bad timing, but yeah mainly anything that pokes you hard or tries to damage you early from a distance can make it hard for vlad to gain his footing in laning phase.

You missed to point out that often when he dives he doesn't use w until the last second he needs to in order to amplyfies his R proc damage with last stand, thats why you can see him not using w right at the start for example: 8:30. If he were to w at the start he would not have enough damage to kill

My personal counter to Vlad is Fiddle Mid Whenever he tries to trade you just succ the wave and him. Fiddle W goes through his pool and W outheals Vlad dmg so as a champion with no cc there is nothing he can do about it. You use this lane prio to roam around the map and once you are 6 the game category for the enemy team changes to "survival horror" During Mid and Late game Vlad loves to ghost around your own team during teamfights with a nice engage to deal dmg but Fiddle ult is a big counter engage threat. Fiddle also provides the juicy cc against Vlad with Q + E combo
At 37+ CDR Vlad can E+W+E+E WHEN E IS MAXED, basically hit the first E than cast W+E during W to cast another E, it will release before the W ends, its the most hard mechanic to put but is game changing, since Vlad can't cast spells on W, but with this setup he can do it, everyone believes its an unentional bug or exploit

He used to go full scaling build with all scaling runes like gathering storm, ability haste at levels, magical boots and etc. Also sorc boots for penetration. I wonder what changed.
in Korea tempo matters more, and there is significantly more focus on early skirmishes. he wants to hit a decent power level asap instead of scaling to oblivion. He did that during his last KR trip also, where he ditched his rocketbelt build and started rushing spellbinder (rip)

Counters : exhaust, controlling wave early and not get baited into trading mana for his hp on low level abilities. As a cassio, you have one shot (due to her mana pool being what keeps her in check early) at running him down when the wave bounces back to you on the long lane, if he pushes into you lvl 1, you control the wave on lvl 2 he doesnt so you can just threaten him with the long lane at that point instead, just don't use your mana like an ape on lvl 1 like in the video. Resolve tree also helps you fuck him. Idk its just wave state fundamentals and not trying to ego him to death. It seems to me people just haven't realised what vlad can do in korea.
for vlads the method to beat malz is to pay attention to malz mana as if it is under 100 at any time that is the perfect time to solo q malz, however, i find it useful to just hard shove malz level one as that is prolly what counters him the best

Those who don't play vlad much usually assume that he needs omnivamp as he heals a lot but the stat itself is supposed to provide sustainability for bursting champs like kata or leblanc, not for those who already have built-in health regen tools like vlad. All his healing sources have sufficient AP ratios which many other burst items supply much more than gunblade does.

youre forgetting the point where all ur hp will be chunked, while vlads q has amp'd healing when he is low so doesnt really help that muhc in the long run
Remember when Akali Shroud lost the ability to make you untargetable by a tower because the effect was too powerful and toxic? Anyways here's a champ who can go untargetable, still move, and even deal damage while doing it. Also doesn't draw tower aggro. Case in point: 6:15 If a champion's not allowed to be invulnerable while damaging you under your tower because it's toxic, then that shouldn't just be a thing for a different champion. It was Toxic on Akali, it's toxic on Vladimir. A lot of these plays woulda straight up been bad if he couldn't just entirely shake tower aggro with a single button.
Akali could drop aggro multiple times . . . it's not like vlad can stay in pool and do stuff for 10 seconds straight like she could on release . . . Delete everything that drops turret aggro then, is your point i guess.

Vlad can happily do a drive-by under your turret or just decide not to get hit by a wound-up turret shot. Counterpoint: Akali can take AoE damage from skillshots, her cloud couldn't ever move.

Comet is generally better when you have a cc to guarantee the comet hits. Vlad doesn't have a hard cc so people can just run out of the comet radius

Aery is just too good early game. I wish they atleast make Comet scale better so it can compete with Aery for mages.

Aery is 10-40 damage + 10% ap
Comet is 30-100 damage + 20% ap
Comet starts with a 20 second cooldown but goes down to 8 with level and the cooldown is decreased with landing abilities. Scaling wise Comet is far better

youre forgetting the point where all ur hp will be chunked, while vlads q has amp'd healing when he is low so doesnt really help that muhc in the long run

Remember when Akali Shroud lost the ability to make you untargetable by a tower because the effect was too powerful and toxic?
Anyways here's a champ who can go untargetable, still move, and even deal damage while doing it. Also doesn't draw tower aggro.
Case in point: 6:15
If a champion's not allowed to be invulnerable while damaging you under your tower because it's toxic, then that shouldn't just be a thing for a different champion. It was Toxic on Akali, it's toxic on Vladimir. A lot of these plays woulda straight up been bad if he couldn't just entirely shake tower aggro with a single button.
Akali could drop aggro multiple times . . . it's not like vlad can stay in pool and do stuff for 10 seconds straight like she could on release . . . Delete everything that drops turret aggro then, is your point i guess.
@@robertenbre8188 Prevent champions from dealing damage while in tower range and avoiding tower aggro, yes. At least Akali had to be targetable to deal damage, not that it made her any less annoying. Vlad can happily do a drive-by under your turret or just decide not to get hit by a wound-up turret shot.
Counterpoint: Akali can take AoE damage from skillshots, her cloud couldn't ever move.
