one thing to take note of is that he avoids hitting his head on the stairs by using his hands and adjusting his neck as he rolls. he also tries to minimize the amount of pain he receives by extending his arms on each stair that could possibly hurt him most.

yeah all that along with some padding underneath the clothes, as you can spot here 00:29, it will still be painful, but will slightly reduce the stress on pointed segments like elbows and knees.😀
