One of the hardest Acid House mixes on TH-cam. Been coming back for years.
Oh you just made me feel old and young at the same time.
Jungle crew nice track,.Adonis no way back is the Bomba. Memories of hacienda, fallow field, Hulme, the front, whalley range. Man some naughty times but this was it, the epicenter of something magical, on my doorstep. Or was it me?😂
And without doubt it's DNA Chicago, plus extascy Manchester madness/attitude and a back drop of electronic music, 2 cultures mixing and boooooooooom
Yes,me2.. i drive at 4.00 in morning to work & i enjoed it evry time in my bikeraides! ☝️🕺☝️🕺👋💜🖤💚💛
Same
10 years listening to this masterpiece, on Acid, sober, on weed, many circumstances
acid house in 2019 sounds fresh, time for a comeback
And i dropped 3 tabs 🤘
Karl centreforce 88.3 in DAB radio 👌🏻
Working on it mate I'm a DJ bringing this music back thanks to Paul Woolford.
I agree!!!
2020*
Love this, 53 yrs old remembering my 20 yr old self. No drugs for me but lots of mad dancing. Great times.
I tried to explain to some people I was chatting with in the UK (Hacienda 40th anniversary livestream) that I didn’t take drugs and I had a great time (I’m 58), and they said I should have because the drugs made the experience “next level”. I think I did pretty good without it!
@@bklyntraveler9705 Drugs can enhance the experience. But is more important to know how to feel the music, that itself is already like a drug, if you cant feel it, you can take any amount of drugs you want that the music is wasted on you, also feeling the music wont fry your brain, or make your teeth fall...
....altough its higly adictive! x'D
You're the same age as me Andrea. Yes 1989/90 were the best years for acid house.
@@bklyntraveler9705 You don't need drugs to enter another realm of existence, just music, creativity and positivity baby
Yeah I get people in Fabric asking me for all kinds of shit hahaha I'm like nah I don't do drugs don't even know what dat is
I'm 54 and have loved this music since I first
Woke up in 89
Didn't sleep for 6 years . Didn't want to miss beat .... 51 years young I am. STILL ON A MISSION !
Incidentally, I'm 50. I was there when House was born. And I have always been faithful to him. It started in 1977 when I was seven years old. Frankie Knuckles, Larry Levan, Ron Hardy, Jesse Saunders, Chip E., Steve "Silk" Hurley, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk, Mr. Fingers, Marshall Jefferson, Phuture and so on. Many things in my life have changed. Even house music has changed. Now I can say house music has accompanied my life. And I still love it!
I’m 54 and relate
i like your post , i was faithful betweeen 88 and 92 !i gave her the best years of my life !
I'm 50 too, and i 'm ok with you +++
Bonjour à Toi, Moi j'en ai 47 et j'adore toujours sa, suis toujours à fond avec les années 80/90 que sa soit Acid Hhouse, Hardcore, Funk, New Have, House music, Soul, Oldise, Reggae Dance Hall .. Bonne Journée à Toi
of a similar age... I too watched and heard the unique styles of house music's earliest days transform over the years through acid house and into the rave scene, it seemed at times that the music was changing on a weekly basis with new sounds, samples and rhythms arriving at our ears! truly a time to be alive
Oddly while many did drugs at raves listening to this, me and my mates used to listen to it, while setting up model railway's in our loft spaces. True story.
005 AGIMA that’s a funny story
Fuckin Quality
nice nice i wanna make a table glass top with something similar being a tarantula spider inside like you would not believe, in my mind its there
You are really smart. No, really.
005 AGIMA
Did you have a Scalextric setup as well???
Hope acid house makes a huge comeback... I need more tracks like these
Allready did, been commercial for the lsat 5 years or so.. but this is not acid
It's never gone away for me! ☺
I hope so too. Add techno to the list also. :)
💘
H😉USE MUSIC ALL NIGHT LONG
Have never stopped listening to this music alongside all the new stuff comes along, my kids now in their 20’s grew up with it, and my son who dj’s always mixes in some old school. Started raving in 89, met my husband also a raver in 91.
This music has stayed in my blood and on my record deck, cd player mp 3, phone whatever all through the years.
I’m listening to this mix now in my living room in the UK, while sorting out a load of books, and i keep having to get up and dance round the room, can’t keep still.
Thanks to whoever put it up, i’ve listened to it many times in last few years ❤️
Respect 🙌 like you I started raving but in 88 but that makes no difference. Total respect to you and your hubby from an old chap now lol 🙌✌️
Oh I'm sitting nodding my head. Good mix issint, really captures the moment. And now we got old! Even my daughter 8, mad for voodoo ray, what a dream to have your kid ask for quality.
Interesting you say all the devices (what has survived on your device is telling, Lindy effect). But please give me every vynal on this next Xmas, in a collection and let me loose. I've been digging around past 6 months trying to remember stuff, huh, imagine.
Same as Brother, from the start now my son is introducing his mates to the same, post K thank (insert deity of choice) back to the old school, the only school🙏love and peace brothers and sisters, lovers and mothers….and the hell with the rest of ya
Oh my god ,I still love this music ,I'm now 53 and you can still feel the hairs on your neck rise up ,great times for me in Sheffield,we have a great club scene and I'm so privalliged I grew up in these years where dance music just moved you in so many ways ,keep raving even though you might ache more now lol ,ade Sheffield
Opening track Maurice, This is Acid is one of my all time favorite.
Underground classic gold👍👍
Bournemouth, UK back in 1988... The first days of Acid and we had fun, loads of fun.
Every f*****g weekend!
The days of great Clubs, Raves, party drugs and being on the dance floor until 5am.
Take me back to 87. I'd love to hear all this great music with with new ears for the first time again. Still gives me that same rush ❤️🤘🎶⚡️
Yes! The sound factory, garage, red parrot
NYC, great times !! 🙌
Manchester's legendary acid house club The Haçienda, this brings me straight back there 😀
This is what I danced to when I first started clubbing. House music and acid and all of the new kinds were on the gay scene in Australia before anyone else heard of it. There were underground parties, parties at the Horden Pavilion every weekend that could fit 10,000 people. It was a revelation, and I feel privileged to have been a part of it.
Great to hear all those classic tunes again.
1988 ~ 1994 was some of the best days of my Life.
Nothing Can Compare to the Rush Of excitement & Fun I had Back in those days. .
Peace 👁
some of the best
I went to so many raves - every weekend for about 3 years - lot of my mates did the drugs but not me - didn’t need to - the music alone got me as high as I have ever been 😊
Simply the best
I’ve Just eaten some Liberty Caps
From a field in Wokingham

Still remember?

sat in the garden, in the sun, all on my todd, headphones on, a few beers on board light head and foot banging. half hour well spent. cracking mix this is 👌
TH-cam treasure right here
Was not old enough to go clubbing, but used to dig those tracks at home at my cassette player, driving my parents mad. Where I am at, all electronic club/disco music was called "Acid" back in 1989. Then renamed in the forthcoming years as rap, dance, techno...despite being different genres. I would be digging the hip-house stuff more, looking back-but called is Acid too. Liked the smiley face figure, that was what got me into this, silly it may seem. We used to have this rivalry with the metalheads at school, where we would tease each other and even fight. We were also too naive to know about the drug connection and we'd be teasing our metalhead friends with: "well, acid melts metals so, we are superior"...that chemistry lesson gave us much delight, lol. Now...I listen to almost all genres at 42, acid, pop, hip-hop, techno, rock n roll, heavy metal, etc..... Peace!
Music is wonderful
If you weren't old enough you don't no simple
Same! I was 13 when this music made it to the UK. I was obsessed then, still obsessed now at 46 :)
Ahhhh, 51 years old now, and just remembering clubbing in the 80s.
Holler if you remember: MK, Danceteria, Limelight, Palladium, Tunnel, Palace De Beaute, and the list goes on…💋💋💋
The sound factory, the paradise garage ..the underground, red parrot yup 👍 great memories!!
I miss those days man 😔🙌
Look amazing, Hun 🤩
55 and alive feeling this mix
I've listened to this several times today. I was only 8 at the time but as a long life house DJ I love the house roots.
I was in my dads sack back then
@@darrenlennie1184 same - your Dad had the sack that didn't hold-back.
Haven't heard Elektric Dance for half a life-time, and Come Get My Lovin' just gave me a flashback to Hitman And Her!
This mix brings me back! 1984 HS Grad and lover of acid! Going into NYC to club every weekend. Oh yeahhhh
I'm 60 now and I still remember my first trip
Ahh memories. Late nights, fast cars, party drugs. Even lost my virginity with the Voodoo Ray track in the background.
Oh to be 12 years old again.
Looool
Did you lose it to your uncle?
Jane is that you....????? Omg we lost it together
My brother in mayonnaise run that shit by me again

i was 16 years old and had many Acid LPs :) Greaz Music
The transition from i have a dream to Airport 89 is so fucking satisfying
Never get bored of hearing any of these tracks. Absolute bangers each and every one of them. The good old late 80s. The football, the warehouses and don't forget Ibiza every summer. Oi oi!
Man, this brings back memories of my childhood! I remember being 10 going on 11 and tuning into pirate stations BITD, listening to older relatives tapes or fellas round my estate blaring out riddims - hearing house, acid and hip-hop and immediately loving them! I started buying my first vinyls at 11.....only about one every 2 or 3 months with saved up pocket money!! I didn't go raving until '92, underage with fake ID. By then I'd progressed to the hardcore breakbeat sound, then on to Jungle and DnB, but I still love these old house /acid classics. Was wicked to hear them years later in the house rooms at hardcore / jungle raves and also at 'old school' nights.
I still have a kiss fm pirate radio sticker in my car, blast from the past 104.3
Ever since I found this genre I haven't been able to stop listening to it, and I think its safe to say it has really influenced the music I make. I love it.
Probably the best real acid mix evar. Only (tiny) critique... it should be one song longer. Start with Phuture's "Acid Trax" and, instead, move Maurice's "This is Acid" to the end. All are glorious, no harsh to anyone, but Phuture kind of lit it back in 87, and Maurice pretty much owned it in 88. Praise for them all, and legit addition of Aphex. Lastly, Gerald is a genius, VoodooRay is the right choice, but there are so many more too... And, if we go far enough into the then-future, would Hardfloor ever get any props? Luv 2 y'all and be well!

i still listen to this again & again as it reminds me of those times 💙
52 and still loving the vibes these tunes give me. Miss that era. You needed some stamina for those raves 🤣
Yh in the shape of disco biscuits 🍪 😉😉
By stamina you mean very strong drugs
In the words of Frankie Knuckles House Music is Disco's Revenge.
Right On Brothers and Sisters
We was young and up for it
I’m back again. Tripping out me head
Mamma mia mi hai fatto tornare indietro 😀🤙 questo SOUND era capolavoro solo chi ha vissuto questo periodo può apprezzare capire che contaminazione avevamo 🤙🔥🔥🔥
This shit never gets old !!! 2019 playing the good vibes house head for life!!!!
2023 ❤
2020 and I still not all there, cheers for the most amazing time of my life...
grew up on this... never touched a drug, but we sure made plenty of bartenders wealthy. NYC | Hamptons ... these beats need to make a comeback.
aaaaaaaaand straight down the rabbit hole of a newly discovered genre I go yessssssssssss
ACIEEEEEEED!!! Still addicted to 303!!!
Superb mix. Takes me back. Those were the days. This is acid.
So many happy memories, still got all the moves lol
88-89 the BEST dance years EVER they dont make tracks like this anymore ❤
Still wandering how I survived this era
Ynse Schaap me too mate...lol
Me to and I am nearly 50 best days ever
Yes, and I still have them all, aint that the darnedest thing
Ynse Schaap Get the feeling I partied non-stop from 1989 till 1992. Every weekend it was aciiiiiiiiiieeeeeeed. Maybe everyone in Holland between 16 and 25 partied continuously in those days.
Scary part is that some of those people run the country ;-)
I was 18 in 87 and the rest, as they say, is history! Only grew up when I had my boy in 2010 but it saddens me he will never experience what we experienced through the late 80's, 90's and 2000's. The music, the vibes, the comradery, the drugs(not so much for my boy😂) and the freedom😢
I was 18 in 2017 and I dig this
Lots of us with same same sentiments, you'd rather he had our bits than today's mind??
Dopo 30anni scopro che noo è disco music ma acid house!!! Incredibile
Davvero? Ahah
Anyone else feel like most of the music in this genre sounds like music from obscure and unknown ps2 driving games
Yes!
oml yes
I hate the ps2 for that reason, I was like 4 and It scared me.
Reminds me of streets of rage
no.........not at all
I can almost smell the smoke machine and see the fluoro paint on the walls
hahahahaha
The way you described it makes it seem fucking gay and creepy.
Ford Danniel I guess your one of those "todays people" because you seem insecure and unhappy with yourself you wouldn't be abusing people over the internet, quite a perfect example of a keyboard warrior. Has what you said made you feel better and boosted your self esteem?
Ford Danniel HAHAHA mate your one of these todays kids arguing over the internet trying to prove a pointless point XDXD
Remember drinking glowsticks and jumping around with your mouth open?
Love it !!!
Bring us the 3rd summer of love!!!!
Long live the 80's-90's, I was a child
Man, those old Amiga samples are truly unique, we will never have something that sounds like it
Happy acid house at it's best!! The acid was aswell :-)!! Respect the acid!!
Oh, man, these tunes are taking me back! Muddy fields or sweaty warehouses, Chipie jeans, Naf Naf tees & Palladium shoes… definitely rolled back a few years listening to this ❤ nice one 🙏🏼
Lol i had totally forgotten about naf naf! 😂
@firemenrhot you can still buy it
Chippie dungarees, speedway top, hoi polloi poncho, and gazelles or Cortez. Loads of C17, Ton sur Ton, British Knights, Travel Fox. Man so much smart gear, still got some somewhere .
Thank you 🙏 thank you 🙏 thank you very much. Such happy memories. Aciiiiiiiiiid!!! 😊✌️
I still have my cassettes that I recorded off the radio. Just about 50yrs old now
...a really damn cool mix of good old ACID HOUSE classics...
acid house was ahead of its time
This is Nestaja N.Y.C. Parkchester the BOOGIE DOWN BRONX Memories SICKENING.

Acid house music never gets old❤️ no matter what it always one step ahead 🎶❤️😊

Carmel Con-Stantly I'll make you feel 16 again also!
Carmel is transgender Neil... but whatever floats your boat. lol
Nee: Warum muss ich jetzt noch mal 16 sein? Kann doch jetzt viel besser die Songs hören! In viel besserer Qualität! Dank deiner Aufnahme...
13:11 - Airport '89 takes me right back. Massive tune. Loved it then and love hearing it again now
The transform scratch track on the flip side was fun for djs
Same!!! That track, jeez!!!! And I was about to comment the same!!
This is aciiiiiidddddddd ! Acid House...This is acid. This is what we call acid. Lol .I love it
This is exactly what was played in the FRONT club in Hamburg / Germany back in 89 - God what happy days these were - They will never ever come back - I smell Poppers, Joop and Egoitse again coming from the dancefloor!!! LOL
Just stumbled on this. I'm 52 & now 18 again
90s Acid House, Trance etc. always deep in my heart.Good feelings 😇🎶🕺
Class Sounds... 1988 - 1994 all the way!
first time listening to this kind of music but somehow it makes me nostalgic for a time before i was even alive
This mix is bloody gold!
I think that like myself all the people who are around 50 years old today have a strong nostalgia for this magical and unique time, not only the music and the long endless evenings, but the ambient freedom that reminds me that what is happening to us above today is absolute hell! Before it was almost paradise
That sums it up perfectly. At least fhose of us who lived it can remember it on here.
for sure it was a peak time in society ''we broke out our pens symbolically the berlin wall came down in 89..
i don´t see one´s cultures as nostalgia
How blessed we were
Wow wish i was alive during this era.
you missed all that ...but i missed the 60s
Can U Dance is still amazing !!
I so miss that ERA! AAACCCCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDDDD :)
Well it woz Fuck"IN-Wickid©😝🤪🌝🤑😎🌞
Really good songs
As a househead from Jersey. Still one !!back in the late 80s going to the Tunnel, The World in NYC and Zanibar in Nwk. Fun times and awesome 🎶 ❤❤❤❤
This takes me back Clink Street, Trip at the Astoria...30 years ago time flies!
Uśmiechnięty domek, ooo jak słiiit.:)
acid(no good) house(Gregory) 1988 yummy yummy yummy yummy
Brilliant mix that still stands up today in my humble opinion ♥️ as of April 2020 😎
Speaking from a former Tenerife worker on Veronicas...those that know..know
Smashing era ...... for the party people 😏
Goddamn. Wished I'd been there in person. So fucking good.
So many questions have been made about this new dance crave called Acid🎶🎶🎶
