  • I received a Thermomix (TM6) as a housewarming gift, and I just had to review it, because I haven't found a truly decent, honest review of this thing online that isn't biased in some way. Anyway, hope this helps!

Could I be friends with whoever gave you a $2,000 housewarming present? I think if you didn’t have all the appliances it could replace then it could be a good buy as all those other appliances would easily top $2,000. Also if in a small apartment there would be a lot less to store. As intrigued as I am, I already have every appliance it could replace, so unless I sold them all, I can’t see getting one myself.

My husband just bought me a thermomix as gift and I love it sooo much! No oil splashing around my kitchen. Save time too as I can start cleaning and preparing other ingredients when its cooking for me. I think u dont like it cos u rarely cook. Maybe u can gift it to ur family that cooks, they will appreciate it a lot. Hehe.

I might be interested in getting one of those once the price finally goes down.
But I have a serious question though: Aside from the access to the recipe database, does it need an internet connection to function or does it turns itself into a $2000 brick? I've been burned too many times by on-the-cloud-only devices to ever trust another one of those.

Honestly, IDK why he says it cost $2,000...is less than that (unless we are talking about a country different than U.S. The cost is 1,499 plus tax...and this has been the cost for a very long time (regardless of inflation). And yes, after buying a tm6 you will get 6 months free of Cookidoo and there you will be able to download any recipe or collection and have access to it, even if there's no internet connection.

I had convinced my husband to buy me one but now he changed his mind after seeing your review. You really don't do the product justice. It's almost as if a competitor has paid you to misrepresent the machine. My relatives who have it rave about it. It never fails a recipe. You do have to stand in front of the machine so you can read instead of behind it as you did and put more sugar than the recipe asked for. They also don't need the blenders, scales etc... They make more home cooked meals, deserts, drinks and sauces than ever before buying this device. I wish my husband hadn't seen your review.

I thought the same thing, he didn't even try to make the recipe properly, I've made that same lemonade recipe many times and everyone loves it. I use my thermo many times through the day, I use my own recipes and I use the Cookidoo recipes. Just sold a TM6 to a friend who has been using a cheaper brand one for years and admits it just cannot do the same job as the TM6. Every husband I know whose wife owns and uses her Thermo, loves it! I have a friend whose husband said no for years, they just got one and everytime I see him he says "how good is the thermo!". Perhaps if you know someone who has one they might allow you to loan it for a week? Or maybe the consultant you've been in contact with might loan you one of hers, I've loaned mine out to potential customers a couple of times now.

    • @AcctVgm

OMG that's so painful to read 🥺...this is from 7 months ago, hopefully your husband changed his mind. He seems to be relying on the 1% of people that disklike Thermomix bc they deeply hate cooking rather than on the 99% of people who can actually see all the potential. I hate when my prospect clients go and do "their own research" bc the information is never complete 😭😭

    • @AcctVgm
      @AcctVgm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

OMG absolutely is not. The cost per use is something you cannot value. Plus, I wouldn't take a review from someone who rarely cooks, dislikes the kitchen or has been a user for a week (and hardly believe he's been using it every single day, like I do). Tbh, every single journey is different, and I wouldn't rely on the one star reviewer when there's a million 5 star reviewers...just like Amazon. When the majority says is good, then it is. I'm sorry it didn't work out for him...I also would love to have such a friend that gives those kinds of gifts lol...and no, I don't regret A SINGLE penny invested on my Thermomix...in fact, I want another lol.

Really depends on the person. If you are passionate about eating whole foods and making everything from scratch, the thermo is a fantastic investment, however if you don't mind eating processed stuff or standing at the stove top mixing and waiting for things to cook then you probably won't use it to it's full potential. Being someone who has allergies, the thermo is fantastic for me as gluten free supermarket food tastes like garbage. I like knowing what's in my food, and it saves me time and money.

When I'm using it, it doesn't exactly follow the recipe as there are some ingredients I don't like to eat, which can be changed on an individual basis. Secondly, switch to manual mode, you can adjust the temperature and time yourself, and cooking skills will make it more powerful.

Everything has pros and cons. Depends on each individual situations! I learnt how to cook from this. Never regret getting it! Why did he review Thermomix very bad? Why not review other food processor even more expensive than Thermomix? It really not fair! People got it because they can afford it, they like a clean kitchen with no oil spill, they like the convenience that Thermomix can do for them, or simply just like the look of its, etc. Nothing is wrong when people want a luxury car than just a practical car. Why tell people don’t buy it lol.

Oh dear Mickey, you obviously haven't been shown how to use the Thermomix, in the UK they are never sold without a full demonstration and are not $2,000. I had my first machine in 1979 and it lasted me for 20 years and went everywhere with me. I then joined the team in Spain in order to buy a new and much more advanced model. and although now retired, have kept up with all the models since and would not be without one, it is used at least twice every day. You have done it a great mis service by your so called review and possibly persuaded people who would benefit from it not to seek out more information. I shall pass your review to our Head Office and to Vorwerk in Germany who won't be pleased about the way they are being marketed in the US. No way should you be just given one as a present with no training.

We went to the BBC Good Food Show today 25th November 2022 in the UK ...saw this machine on a round counter top with various so called experts...I.e sales people....no demonstrations at all ...just told what it could do ....then told the price of it 🤣🤣....me and others people around me jaws dropped...£1200+ ...I'd think twice about purchasing this machine at half the price told ....yes it might be a 4.5.6 etc etc machine all in one ...but I could buy all them different machines to get the same results a hell of a lot cheaper and cooking all at the same time to serve....I saw another you tube video on this machine...it took nearly 2hrs to cook/steam a small lamb shoulder to do the sauce and then steam spinach...all in different stages separately....and the lamb had to be finished off for 15mins in the oven to finish the process to get it crispy ....im so pleased I never bought this machine at the food show ...but no real demonstration spoke volumes ...swiping a glorified I pad on a blender and putting their hand to show how it weighs means nothing.....our digital scales,Vitamax blender will do most of that ...at no where near the cost they are asking for this machine....as for steaming, slow cookers etc even buying all of them would be alot cheaper

Describes it as a heater blender and proceeds making lemonade which can be made in a normal blender.
Doesn’t take simple steps to follow instructions to weigh materials or ability to follow recipes.
Follow some guides or contact the company who made it to learn, then properly use it and make a judgement.
Buying a cast iron pan and saying it’s not as easy as a toaster to toast bread isn’t a great product overview.

  • @ladia11

I can't say that I can call this a review. Obviously you know nothing about cooking. I think people that cook for their families would find this machine very useful. Seriously you are showing how to make a lemonade 😂. Why didn't you make a video how you made that bread and for comparison to make one video how would you do it by hand.
I would love to have Thermomix in my kitchen

I’m not going to say it is the worst review on the internet. It’s already been said, no need to keep stating the obvious.
Just one tip though. Learn the basic about the product you are reviewing. That thing you didn’t know what was it’s not an antenna 🤦‍♀️

OMG this guy don't even know what are talking about. I highly recommend to learn and prepare in advance the information you give to other people! Your lack of knowledge can damage the image of a company that has been manufacturing Thermomix for 50 years! If you want to express your opinion, GREAT! but first learn all the functions, benefits, parts, that TM can offer! Very superficial your opinion.

This video review was horrible. Disappointed to see that you were gifted a Thermomix without a full demonstration showing you how to use it. You should take the time and email/call Thermomix in the country you are in to set up a demo so that you can properly learn to use the Thermomix.

What a terrible review. You definitely need to cook on the TM6 as you can’t even simply use the scales. If your taking this guy for advice not to purchase then this is a big mistake. I have one and it saves me over £3,500 a year!!! It also saves time....

clearly Thermomix is not for you if you're not seriously a cook of any type. And what do you mean "Normal person" that cooks in the kitchen doesnt need the appliance. ? I too was a sceptic at paying $2000 for this appliance but it has paid itself off over and over. I have cooked various dishes that Ive never contemplated before even sweets which I was not a fan before owning a Thermomix.

If you love cooking, i mean you are not cooking for the whole family for daily dinner, will you have the same excitement by using thermomix instead of your loved cast iron pan to sear meats, making gravy sauce in your copper sauce pan, deep frying things by perfecting the heat on your stove so it comes out golden brown and crisp, or bake your whole chicken on your oven. Does thermomix stands for serious cooking? In my opinion, i must have at least 3 of those to cook meals so every meals could finish almost the same time
