Dear friend, today you started my day well, commenting on the great Equipage is a pleasure. I was a kid in the late 70s and I did everything I could to buy Paco Rabanne, Eau sauvage, and Capucci, all three together, I broke the piggy bank and went bingo, the one I used the most was Paco, and so I continued for months, one day at a school friend's party, I entered the bathroom and saw a wonderful bottle with a fabulous cap, it was Hermes Equipage, I had seen the advertisement in many newspapers and now it was in front of me! I smelled it and put a little on my wrists (I didn't want to get caught). The best part came in the night at my house, I could smell a strong smell coming from somewhere, a totally different smell from Paco, it was pungent and resinous, I remembered Equipage and put it on the "waiting list" I had to wait about a year or more to make money and finally in 1980 I brought another pearl to my home, (which I still have)! ive weirdly never smelled the original but i have about 30ml of equipage geranium lol....jesus christ though man, its amazing. im sure the original is just as amazing.
I don’t discriminate when it comes to eau de toilette’s and perfumes. But I DO love quality scents. Equipage is a scent for a man. But I LOVE the rich layering of scents. It reminds me of some of the Balenciaga perfumes for women which I have. I don’t care that this was made with men in mind. I wear it and have had compliments for its scent. 🪷
