Great vid Andy. My cousin was a Michigan Farmer and I used to hunt the land. Your videos remind me a lot of those days. You truly are a patriotic American Farmer who happens to do great videos on TH-cam. Which, I for one, am grateful for as well as your thoughts on the problems going on in our world. I couldn't agree more with what you say! Btw, thanks for being a farmer!

Yep this is why we are subscribed. Learned a lot about corn today. My wife and I planted 50 sweet corn plants in early June here in Georgia. It’s all looking good and like we say it is live and learn. Next year we are probably going to do 250 or so just for eating, but many thanks for your inspiration!

Thank you from a small farmer in Michigan. Some of the young TH-cam farmers don’t seem to have a clue as to what it really takes to run a farm and how expensive things cost. They just follow their parents and grandparents around and think they know it all. If they really knew how hard earlier generations had to work to make the farm a successful operation then they wouldn’t say some of stupid things they do. Now there’s some young people who get it which’s I do enjoy watching.

Another great video, Grumpy. I can remember as a kid my Dad taking me with him to check out the corn and after first cut checking on how the second cut (rowen) was coming in. As I got older that was my job to go look and report back. My father and I still put up hay and I still go check up on things. Thank you for helping me blow the dust off that old memory.

Green energy lovers will go hungry from the lack of food. One of the last turbines erected a couple of years ago hasn't worked in 2 years and the giant cranes are coming to take it down. More crop acres lost due to equipment damage. Wind turbines and solar farms can go to HELL.

I remember when we would occasionally hire city kids do some "work" for us. I say "work" because most of them had no what that word meant. Eventually more types of new machines replaced them all.

When I was in my early teens I put up hay for a large ranch owned by a very wealthy furniture store owner. The ranch foreman hand-picked us because he knew we were tough ass farm kids. The owner decided to replace us with a crew of older city kids. He couldn't find a one of them that could last a day. We all had gotten other haying jobs, so they were in a bind. We agreed to put up his hay on the side for twice the pay. Long hours but we made good money that summer.

While I enjoy the content of the youtubers, it's NOT free content. I PAY with my time and with the agony of watching the google ads AND their "sponsored" ads. Recently, 2 youtubers ADMITTED they're not a cattle farmer or a firewood provider, but "TH-camrs" that make most, if not ALL of their revenues from youtube and NOT what they're portraying to be. One blatantly posts a thumbnail title, then posts 20 minutes of BS video '"content" several google ads and a "sponsored" ad, then finally gets to the subject. I blocked ALL future videos from that scammer. I love your REAL content! LGB FJB.

You have to scout your crop & watch what is happening.
    Look for diseases,, insects.
Do soil tests, tissue tests if needed .

I’d gladly take a person around our operations and explain how quality Black angus & Polled Hereford beef is produced. And what is involved in producing all the feed to keep this operation hopefully profitable.

Working on a farm sucks most of the time s#it breaks mother nature is against you and when things go good you're waiting for something to happen.
