One thing I did for the sheets on my van, was I took two twin flat sheets and sewed the bottom seams together. Making a big bag. I sewed up the side about a foot or so. The nice thing is that your feet never stick out of the bottom of the sheets.

Rust - the man says brush dioxidine on wait for the rust to go black. Wash off with water, hit with a wire brush. Rinse again Let dry undercoat Then paint. Repco or supercheap can do colour matching for you.

Gorgeous beaches, great sunshine, good surf, a vintage Vw van and gravy and chips that is a most perfect day.Good to see that your looking after Vance with regular washes and getting the rust addressed before it gets a hold.I polish ours with a wax called collinite which really gives a thick barrier against the water and general road stuff.It’s not cheap but certainly worth the investment.Stay safe and keep having fun

Great video! Would love to see more of the behind the scenes like how you store the leftovers of your meals, when you have dirty clothes do you keep a laundry bag somewhere? Where do things like the dirty cloth Glenn used to wipe the windscreen go? Sounds random but I’m super interested to know all those little weird details and logistics of actually living in a van full time 😂

@@EloiseG_31 you and me both. I currently live in a tiny house on wheels now. A van tour including the nitty gritty. I can say this about how i do tiny living. If i buy new clothes the same amount leave. The lighter the weight the more fuel efficient and less wear'n' tear.

That was a great episode thanks Guys, as you said, two very different days, but still far and away better than walking in and out of the same door for the 9 to 5 routine. How are the mods to Vance working out ??. It all seems to be flowing well. Is there any thing you wish you'd done differently ??, however, you put a lot of thought and work into them based on solid experience, so I'm guessing it's working well. there are plenty of places to stay overnight but sometimes we have to be a little stealth and leave first thing in the morning. In terms of heat we just have to try and keep it ventilated and watch the weather forecast. haha
We definitely can but it gets VERY windy so it’s just not that enjoyable 😂 and usually by the afternoon we’re tired out so we just close up Vance and stay inside until the wind dies down!

You'd be surprised at how many places you can sleep. Thankfully on the Eyre peninsula it's pretty open but in more built up areas it becomes harder
