  • I just bought a crypto miner for $15,250 that I think will make $620 a day or just under $20,000 a month. In this video, I tell you all about it, the costs, the profits, my long-term outlook, and the risks. ▼▼

    I bought a Iceriver KS3M and ks2 . My ks2 is working great. My ks3m is getting returned . I should have bought the single bitmain tbh.

      @YourFriendAndy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sorry to hear that! Yes, I think lots of people were super excited about the KS3M units (myself included) but I think that Iceriver is overwhelmed and started cutting corners to keep up with demand or something. The Bitmain units seem rock solid though. Time will tell though!

    In your BE did you take into account Kaspa’s emission schedule undergoes a Chromatic Halving Schedule - meaning that rewards smoothly decrease every month in a quantitative manner that results in a 50% emission reduction per annum.

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      yes and no. My B/E takes it into account a bit, but also allows for a slight increase in Kaspa price to compensate. I have run multiple models. The reality is, B/E time calculations are fine, but they are almost never accurate, so I take them with a grain of salt.

    Thanks so much for your videos! I’m really considering getting the Birman KS5 pro 21th machines with idea as you to hold long term like 12 months.
    What do you think of mining for 12 months using the Bitmain KS5’s?
    My goal is to mine with 6 to 12 machines for annual profits!

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I like the idea of mining and holding. But the KS5 was a very small first batch and is all sold out I believe. Not sure when next batch releases. So you might not have that option. I'd reach out to Musk (or whoever you want) and ask them about it.

    Hi Andy I’m sure you got asked this a lot but how is it that your making 620 a day with the ks3 9.4th/s when ordinarily people make 64 a day with the same machine is it something to do with the place you are hosting it or is just the group network you are mining with? Or is there another method you have?

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I explain in the video, but I am saying that I will make that retroactively. I mine and hold. I am not selling any Kaspa. I think Kaspa will be $1+ per coin. Right now I am mining over 600 Kaspa a day with this machine. Retroactively it will have made $600+ per day. It's not clickbait or cheating way to view it IMO. It's just a mindset I've chosen that has served me well so far. I do this with lots of my mining activities. Helps me have a long-term outlook for them and really think through the potential.

    hey Andy! do you think is still profitable to get a KS1 right now ?

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! It IS still profitable, but it's not nearly as efficient as the machine I talk about in this video or other higher-end machines. Right now break-even time for the KS1 is 530 days at $0.08/kWh power. So if your power is higher than that, it's an even longer break-even. I'd just run the numbers and decide if it's better to get a machine or just the coins. OR if you have a long enough time horizon, it could be worth it. I just personally wouldn't consider a KS1 at this stage. Hope that's helpful!

      Yeah I give an explanation for my $620/day statement. I really think I will end up making that when I look back. I mine and hold. I'm all about the long-term. I don't care very much about today's profits/prices.

    Hello , great contnet mate:). What do you think is it possible to run Iceriver KS3 mining setup at apartmenet building flat with neighbours close by? Is there a risk considering high power demand on usual home power cicruits? THX:)

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching! Running a KS3 requires 220v power and it uses over 3,000 watts. That all comes out of the machine as heat, so it's basically a space heater. And it is very LOUD. Personally, I wouldn't want to try running one in an apartment unless you have a garage or something.

    Ended up preordering the ks5 pro 21th , ran the numbers it made more sense, even with the 36k i had to pay for it. The moment they hit market ks3s and under will be obsolete

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good luck with the KS5! As for everything else, the Kaspa network difficulty could 5X and none of the previous machines would be obsolete. Kaspa machines are just SO profitable that it will be a long time for the difficulty to kill that profitability... especially if the price goes up a by a lot in the next 6-12 months. The new machines are great, but the old ones are far from obsolete.

      That's standard though. The places that are cheaper, won't offer you hosting. They just send you the machine and it's all up to you. So they can charge a lot less. Companies like Musk have to do all the maintenance, monitoring, repairs, and customer service, etc. They have more costs than those sellers. So they charge more. Musk will price match many of those cheaper places if you just want to buy the miner and have it shipped to you.

    Hey Andy I've seen several reports that musk miners is a scam? Are they paying you to promote? A lot of complaints about them being unresponsive to emails and calls. Just curious if they have the same customer service to individuals without a following as big as yours. Appreciate it.

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What reports have you seen? I've talked to countless people who are very happy with them. They have great review online on places like trust pilot and they do have positive feedback on reddit, etc. Definitely always do your due diligence, but for me, I've seen overwhelmingly positive feedback from people.
      There are a few disgruntled people online, but most of them time they seem like people who bought at the high point of the market, regretted doing that, and then blamed Musk Miners for tricking them or something. The only other thing I have seen is a few people responded to emails/DMs they THOUGHT were from Musk Miners, but unfortunately never verified if it was really them and they sent the scammers money. This has happened with fake Andys too. I have lots of impersonator accounts on TH-cam, twitter, tiktok, etc. And unfortunately some people think it's really me reaching out to them about investment opportunities. This is why I encourage people interest in Musk to call or text them directly (and to always double check who you send money to online).
      All that said, I can only say what I know. Which is that I've had a very positive experience and so has everyone I've personally talked to. People who I speak with more frequently like in my community, say they have had excellent customer service with Musk.
      As for payment, yes they have sponsored videos in the past. I pretty clearly state that those are sponsored though. But like I said in this video, they did not pay me to make this video. I bought this machine myself. I will happily do sponsored content with them in the future though.
