If you invest in solar panels then the running cost is also effectively 0, as no electricity costs, so you can increase profits in the long run and also be better for the environment
But solar system very costly... You need years to start making profits

@@XetryOp Panels are costly but most of the time pay themselves off in 10 years, not that long. When they are past breakeven though, you are saving upwards of $1000 a year. Also adds resale value, so if you move out before that period it's not a complete loss.
Also using your mining rig as your heating unit is a way miners increase their margins. I think you need multiple rigs to do this though.
This is why i don't find a fucking 3090 at reasonable price

I think that's the first video I ever saw Biaheza use a windows computer. He always trys to avoid using windows and even goes out and buys brand new mac book laptops instead of using a windows in a virtual machine or a used computer. He is finally seeing his self limiting potential of being a mac only user.

Honestly, I admire massive rigs like those that CAN actually mine at those hash rates. I'm lucky if mine stays at 5 cents a day with my single RX 580 that's prone to overheating.
Mining has been slow but don’t give up we can just play the long game
@@jdogs39 I still check every now and then, maybe it will improve. I think that no matter what happens though, my GPU's not gonna be making a whole lot of money, and that's pretty much normal. Most mining rigs have way more graphics cards than I can afford.

Mining farms are closing down these days, because the energy cost are too high to make a profit. What he also doesn´t account for is, the room rent for the thing. It´s so bloody loud, you can´t have it running in a normal flat or house where people are living. Also "cooling" is necessary, which significantly bumps up the energy cost even further. Probably breaks even in 20 years.
Ill just assume you have never ran over 60k watts and you would cry aboug this 1500-2000 watt increase on your electric bill
So, what is the profitability today? With prices dropping 50% and the mess in China and I really curious! Thanks...

If you were to spend $300,000 or so you could get bitcoins every 10 mins. It's a good investment. However, usually people only spend a couple grand and are going to spend more running the softwares and CPUs and other hardware than profiting. You can join a pool and you're more likely to make profit. Even that isn't worth it in my opinion.
It's one of those things if you're going to get into it you better spend a hefty penny or it won't be worth it.
