As a full Lightstick and robe wielding Insomnia I really like that they incorporate actual metal and para para instead of just rock. Sets them apart from Dreamcatcher and closer to a mix of DC and Baby Metal.
I'm pretty sure that dc won't go harder than they do rn (probably not lean more into metal) to keep that mass market appeal and I'm so so glad that Pink Fantasy has done it. I've been waiting for something like this for some time. I hope they stick with the sound🖤😍

I love this take on dark/rock concept. The instrumental is metalcore-ish and the male growls worked really well as a counter to the more sensual female vocals. As an InSomnia, a part of The One(Babymetal fandom), and as a lifelong metal fan I will always support anyone who wants to rock in pop music. 🤟🏾 I actually cried because of the pure shock of this song and MV. Reddit has been gushing about it and so I knew I had to see what the fuss was about. Literally nothing could have prepared me! I know nothing about this group or their other music but I will give it a listen.

Only 265,000 views(and 90% is probably international views). This is why the KPOP industry really ticks me off. An amazingly talented group with the visuals, vocals, dance moves and charisma get ignored by Korean fans because it doesn't constitute the norm of what they consider good KPOP. These girls are amazing and I am hoping word of mouth and the International fandom will support these amazing ladies like they did for Dreamcatcher and Rolling Quartz. They deserve so much respect for stepping outside the box. But when the KPOP industry is controlled by a handful of companies that Korean fans follow like sheep, it is hard to make your mark. Keep up the great work ladies, you have a fan for life here. Lots of love from Canada.

Unfortunately it’s all kpop fans, especially the international fans too :/ People just like sticking to groups that follow the same popular generic concepts that their used to watching/listening to (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
But I’ve literally seen groups that done ACTUAL unique concepts and music but the amount of views they get are pretty low. Then for one of their comebacks they pretty much just conform to whatever current trendy oversaturated concept there is, and suddenly the views are twice as high as their debut or previous CBs and the majority of the comments on those videos are always “OMG DIS IS SO UNIQUE 😩 STAN”… and it’s just… idk
But yeah, it’s really both the Industry and Kpop fandom (both korean and international fans).

You're right. This genre has never belonged to Dreamcatcher, they didn't invent anything. Babymetal are the only inventors in the style and genre of dancing rock and metal music. Without Babymetal, there would never be a Dreamcatcher or any such group. They started everything in 2010 and they continue without stopping.

Dreamcatcher was obviously inspired by Japan. If there is a group that invents this genre of melodious voices with metal or rock, it's BABYMETAL. They invented kawaii metal. It is thanks to them, that many groups in Japan and now in Korea combine these styles of music. Remember BABYMETAL began in 2010, they started everything and are still more relevant than ever.

As a huge metalhead, this is amazing to hear in kpop. I would never have expected any group to go this hard. Even DC who are undoubtedly the biggest "rock/metal" inspired group in kpop, havent gone to this level outside of arguably their japanese songs. I sincerely hope that Pink Fantasy continues along these lines, and gets a bunch of recognition. The sheer daringness to do this, and the talent to pull it off this well, shows huge promise in the future to grow their own fandom in kpop, even if its more international than domestic since Korea tends to not like this style as much. I hope that they can keep this group stable from here on out, all the new members fit this really well, and Momoka absolutely destroyed this song and MV, already stole my bias spot.

I'm not the first person to say this, but Pinkfantasys makeup stylist(s) are killing it! The girls always have such Beautiful or detailed stage makeup.
This is just fantastic… Other than Rolling Quartz and Dreamcatcher, there isn’t really a whole lot of this type of music in popular KPop. As an InSomnia, I (and hopefully other InSomnias) welcome any group that brings pop, rock, and metal vibes so that this type of music can be more mainstream and popular.
