If the company did a better job promoting them then tons of people would have liked this concept and group. The more popular a group is, the more people check them out. I doubt anyone likes a group _because_ they're popular, but a lot of people naturally check out the popular groups because, they know that those groups exist in the first place. This is not the people's fault, it's the fault of the company for not doing their job well. If I had know earlier that such a group exists then i would have definitely stanned, but I didn't know, so I can't even check them out. It's like you can only buy a product that you know exists, you can't buy something that you don't even know exists.

the story is actually based on a true story about a girl ( in this case chaebin) who confessed her love to a boy but the boy didn't love her back and mocked her. The girl started developing multiple personalities ( the other members ). She becomes crazy and ends up killing herself.
That sucks because this was my introduction to them and I fucking love it and Dark K-Pop. I love their new songs and Dive and B.B.B, don't get me wrong, but this song deserves praise, too. 😞

*My MV theory:*
That girl with black hair (1:36) is the "main character" here. She's being haunted by 5 ghosts. They are showing her how they died (at first one of them is sitting in a bathtub alone [0:36], but then, girl with black hair is sitting there as well [1:45]. She's also being comforted by one of them on a flower bed [1:54], when later someone is being strangled on it [2:30] ) . We can also confirm that because of the scene, where main character becomes blind by the scissors that one of the ghosts threw at her face (2:16). But later on, she wasn't the one that was injured (2:50). It was because she was watching only a part of someone elses memory. With all these stories, she doesn't know what's real, and what's not (the scene with empty chairs - 1:58),she feels like someone is pointing a knife at her (1:08) and she goes crazy.(3:16) At The end, she also gets murdered by one of them. She doesn't resist or anything, because she thinks that its Just another ilussion.

Chaebin is the only one that's really here, the 'ghosts' are actually just a part of herself. In one scene you can see Chaebin (main girl) walking several times through corridor (like matrix glitch, you know?) and in the next scene it's the other girls walking and Saebom (i hope i spelled it right) turns to camera. It starts with 'ghosts' observing Chaebin as she walks through the house. They interact with her but none of them harm her, only ALMOST touch her... till the last chorus. When they stand in the circle and their heads flip to other side, the change happens and each of them start attacking Chaebin. But since each of them is only manifestation of Chaebin's mind, guess what happens? She goes insane. That's why in rapid fast cuts towards the end you see mirror with her reflection shattering, rope snapping, Chaebin screaming and trashing. And this is where it ties with the theme of the song. They sing how love makes them feel like a child, they're confused and feel insecure, silly and crazy. The video is scary but it's a representation of unfamiliar feelings they have about their love/crush. Props to director and editor, I hope they work with the same people in their future videos

It's just a theory, but from the lyrics the song is basically about being naive and childlike when confronted to love. You see the members wearing a lot of white in the beggining , that could be metaphor for purity, especially when seing their "ghost forms" that remind me somehow of a bride's gown in a creepy way. Them going through violent and bloody stuff, stain their white clothes, could be representative of """"having a first time""""" (far-fetched ikr), as it reminded of when in Europe's royal courts (France for sure, but it seemed a common pratice for nobility in general in Europe in Renaissance period) they let see the bloody bed sheets after the wedding night to witness the bride's lost virginity. It could be about period blood, but I don't see strong connexion with the lyrics in this case. Thus all their "naive girl forms" die, and they become more experienced, stronger, grown women. It's a ritual, if that makes sense.
Maybe I'm interpreting too much, but I like to think about it that way. If you want to add your own far-fetched theories, I'll be glad to read it :)

Well... If we think a little deeper, period blood could also be an option, because it's basically your biological "you're not a child anymore", so it could be related in some way to the lost of the purity, as well as virginity... Well those are my thoughts 😂.
That's why I think that the bloody white dresses are the best clothing to this song.
So, I feel like this song is about how a young GIRL who falls in love and keeps getting manipulated by her lover. The chorus translates to "I'm a child before love" basically saying she is exposed to love at such a young age, and tho she knows it isn't right and it makes her uncomfortable, she still wants to continue the relationship with her lover. We see ghosts in the mv walking around and I think its the CHILD'S feelings wandering around, unsure of her emotions and what she feels. As her lover manipulates her, she tries to get out, but since she is still a child, she doesn't know how to control herself and to get out of a relationship, as she hasn't been with someone before. As she tries to get out of the relationship, her lover keeps manipulating her to stay, and she turns into a psycho, doing horrible things to herself while her lover is there to manipulate her. As we may know, white indicates purity and softness, and tho she does horrible things to herself, she is still painted as a pure and innocent person by other people, no matter how much she expresses herself. The blood at the end indicates the stains of her trying to kill herself, but she is still alive. A broken person finds it easier to die than to live and while the girl is trying to end herself, her lover is not letting her die as they want to manipulate them more, which caused trauma for the girl. In the end, you see her "lover" kill her and she still wants to be in love, so she dies in a bed of flowers(idk if flowers mean anything i made that up). I think this MV is basically giving a message of how young girls fall in love with someone and trust them so much to a point where they don't know themselves as they are so young, and as their lover manipulates them, they don't know what's happening. Once they find out what they are up to, its too late. They are already manipulated by their lovers into a psycho and the only way to get out is to end themselves. Hope you guys liked this theory ik it makes no sense but idk i hope people get what i mean :)

this is such a good theory omg- i also saw comments saying that the m/v was inspired by ''a tale of two sisters'' and after i looked up the plot it turns out that the main character (in the m/v it's Chaebin) has did (dissociative identity disorder) soo the 'ghosts' are probably her alters. also did is caused by childhood trauma, so that matches with your theory about her knowing the relationship being wrong at such age and making her uncomfortable (assuming that it led to traumatizing experiences). and brain creates alters to keep a child safe, so if Chaebin is not the one doing these,, yk, ''dark'' (idk how to describe it) things that could also make sense, although i can't recognize the girls and i don't know their names soo... i don't know, i'm not good at theories, but def gonna stan nature now

I miss this concept, it was very successful among international fans, the members liked it too, I don't understand why it changed
Nature never have the same concept since debut only with Dream about U (but that’s not an official comeback). In Girls showcase they said that they want to be like a chameleon in kpop trying as many concept as they can
No the real reason they keep changing concepts is because their songs are not charting in Korea. When the cute/dreamy concept didn't chart, they switched to girl crush, back to cute but fun (dance-oriented), then to horror, and now what appears to be a quirky concept with latin clothing. Charting is important for small groups because it shows how popular they are in Korea, so even if their album sales are low, digital sales can keep these groups afloat but unfortunately Nature has neither. They only managed to break 10k+ physical sales on an album once, that being Nature World: Code A. People are under the false impression that a popular song among international fans can keep a k-pop group going. It doesn't. In fact Girls is not even that popular among internationals, look at the views. It was well-recieved, but not "popular". It's considered Nature's best song and brought in a few casual listeners, but that's all it did. No international fans bought Nature World: Code B (the album Girls is on), and nobody really streamed it either, views are comparative to other Nature songs. You can ask people and they will say they like this song, but they aren't a fan of the group. The group needs fans not temporary listeners who enjoy only one song. The song needed to blow up on release for Nature to continue this concept and release the next CB sooner, but they're struggling because they aren't getting popular and the pandemic has affected a lot of groups. The company is going to keep switching concepts until one of them legitmately blows up. They're waiting for an EXID moment.
