Loved this comparison! I prefer the Horizon myself now over the Keepall, although I have both BUT id agree that as we get older the shoulder weight is brutal so rolling is the way to go!
I use my keepall monogram macassar 45 for travel and at the gym…I love it so so much…I am planning to buy the matching horizon 55 to go with it….LV does sell a cover for it to put it in before you might have to check it in!
You can get a keepall to put on top of your horizon and use it that way. But yes a keepall being full is very heavy and walking around the airport to a your arm and shoulder is a pain, but I love the way it look on the horizon and when you wear it on you for the look lol😂. I did purchased my first keepall 50B in the men collection monogram with purple this past summer in Italy. I wanted the same as you, the monogram in black. My monogram with purple comes with all black hardware. I see your friend didn’t stuff her keepall, mine has an organizer and pillow to stuff it to keep the shape as I display mine.
I have the keepall monogram 50 B. I love it. It is so classic. However, it is HEAVY. I took it on one trip, my honeymoon, and thankfully it fit under the plane seat but it was a squeeze. I was worried they would try to make me check it. I will never fly with it again, too risky. Good for car trips but not hauling a** through the airport haha.The monogram strap thankfully is soft, I would imagine the ebene is more uncomfortable. If I bought another one, it would be the 45 and I would consider the Macassar.
I have the Horizon 50. I love it because it’s easy to roll. I can’t carry the keepall packed it’s too heavy. I also would never take it on a plane. My Horizon 50 is monogram and trimmed in black leather. The 50 is a perfect size it’s not big at all.
