    Hey Eduardo glad you are ok man, have loved your content for couple years now. Excellent mustache btw, i really love that photo at 5:35 has really strong undertones of sadness, reflection, people moving on with their lives, loss, people keeping distant. The framing is excellent very thought provoking image

    So happy to see I'm not the only one who feels rusty. But in my part of the world this pandemic is far from over so I guess it's going to be getting to normal late fall before I resume some "normal" activities.

    In the eighties, there was a guy who used to do street photography with an 8x10. A guy I used to work for said he once had to use one of his 8x10 Deardorfs hand held while hanging out a window to get a shot. Crazy times, crazy people. Keep shooting with the 4x5.

    this is incredible. I just got rid of my Hasselblad X1D cause it was too laborious. And you make me realize that if you know what you're doing, no camera set up is too slow or cumbersome

    • @edpavez
      @edpavez  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can work around almost anything but I also think you need to feel connected to your gear. Not in a magical way, but in the simple notion of "oh, I really feel like shooting this camera today". I never got that from my Hasselblad 500c, so I absolutely understand if you felt like the X1D wasn't your cup of tea and decided to go for something that actually motivated you to shoot. :)

Te deseo lo mejor y espero subas más contenido así con este formato, saludos desde México

    Eduardo, has anyone ever told you that with the mustache that you set that you like Jazz Musician Vince Guaraldi? Well I really love the images, and using Dupe Film which I thought it was Tungsten Balance film as the results were very pleasing, and period like they were shot 20 years ago, is the color balance, and tones gave a look from the 1960's, and how would you compensate for the Parallax view? Well Done....Well back to Neg scanning.... Good Video....

    A lot of people would want to have their pics taken with a 4x5 mainly because of novelty factor of seeing you with this giant piece of plastic pointing at their faces that's got a lens on it!!! :D It could be a little intimidating for some to have such a huge camera pointing at them out of nowhere, so to speak. But, it'd be fun actually going around with a camera like that and taking pics!!!

    I really enjoyed that. I was critical of the skateboarding shot when I was watching the video because I’m a skater. And you said almost exactly the same things! The dancer was a hard subject. Here in Japan the vaccination program is painfully slow. We’ll probably be where you guys are now this time next year. Looking forward to seeing more of your work as ever. Is that an SP404 in the background?

    3:37 honestly it look very nice, I like the posture of a taller girl who looks a bit tired (maybe because of looking after her little sister) and like: eh, what is this lady doing? And the fact that they are alone standing and looking this dancer tells that they are not moking her, but more attracted by this unusual dancer. Like they are the only who saw something curiuos in that dancer.
    Sorry for my english, I'm french...

    Hi, i I really like your TH-cam channel and what you talking about. I remember you talked about shooting a Kodak motion film on 35mm. How can you reload the Kodak 35 motion film bulk roll to the 35 canister.I checked the motion film Kodak Data sheet, they only supply 400 feet and 1000feet. That means on the market the loading machine for the 35mm Still camera film cannot used to this situation because they only for 100 feet bulk roll. So do you know any loading machine design for these type of the work or you have some special skill or special way to do it if you have could you share with us?

    What a waste of film. Street Photography on large format makes no sense.
    I think large format is overrated and in most cases unnecessary. Large Format wastes a lot of film and is very bad for the environment with the large amount of chemicals they are needed for the film and the developing of the film.
    Large Format speeds up the climate warming in irresponsible way. Large Format ist a luxury. We can't mess with the environment in this way any more.
    Large format is also kind of narcissistic. 35mm film or medium format is good enough. Large Format is just an environmental crime at least for ordinary photos without something special.

    • @edpavez
      @edpavez  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I use the same 1 litre of chemicals that I use for all my film developing. There is absolutely zero difference for the environment between shooting any format. I usually develop different formats in the same tank.
      The only difference is the time you spend per image: A full batch of 4x5 gives me 12 pictures. A full batch of 120 gives me 48 images. A full batch of 35mm gives me 216.
      Cheers!
