What an amazing bumper!! I'm very curious, did you make this yourself or did you purchase it from somewhere? I have an 86 K5 Blazer and I want something like this for it.
I just found this video. I love the carrier but I have to ask, does it latch in the DOWN position? With the carrier being spring loaded, what happens as you remove the tire? Does it slam back into the up position?
this was a combination of POR15 and rustoleum bedliner. I pretty much use Steel-It exclusively now. I much prefer it. The POR15 never really held up as well as I expected.
Great videos James. I put a custom order a-bomb on the front of my 84 last year and love it. Love diy4x's stuff. Will be working my way towards some of what you've already done over the next few years.
Great Bumper! I've drug, bounced and bumped mine several times and it hasn't budged. I ended up adding my own swing carrier, cause that's what worked for me. A simple boxing of the outside corner and it holds up great! Kert's stuff bolts right up every time. I have a Gauntlet rear, UD1 front and rock sliders from DIY4X. Always good stuff. Dash is next!
Hey James, great product high light. Maybe in one of your next videos you can talk about the Weather Guard Box you got in the back. How you installed it and your thoughts and opinions of it.
Great video. Am about to semi restore my 72 CST that has been in my storage for nearly 15 yes. New bumpers on the list & was exploring. You mentioned 73+. A 72 Possible? thanks!!
thanks boss, your videos have been pretty motivational. I've gotten his Comp Dash and love it. once I save up I'm going to purchase both rear and front bumpers with tire carrier

The spring is just an assist. These tires and wheels weigh in around 100lbs
What did you use to paint ?
