@@emperorkumquat besides Sideswipe and Strongarm behavier( at least in this episode) , and the way how they depicked cons( from the look of things, Strongarm was an complete rookie, and probadly at her firt day at the job. As for her behavier seeing human for the first time, learning about something, and seeing it first hand are two COMPLITLY, diffrent things. As for Swipe, I douth he would even care about this knowledge. As for cons, I think these are rather new born cybertronianas ,and the worst ones so far in this generation . And as for decepticon sigil, I think they are using are more like an " marking" for prisiners or criminals, considoring they were trying to locate them by the sigils, heck thats the reason why Steeljaw scrathed his and his followers decepticons insiagnias, just saying) I can agree with the rest. Even tho Im ok with the show it self, I have no problem understanting why people hate it. At best is mehh, I can agree on that. Buut as for right now I rather wonder, with is worse... RID2015 who was dumped down show on purpuse and was mehh, or Siege who s purpose was to be an adolt transformers series ( or just been an new TF PRIME) and end up been mehhh...
The first episode wasn't that bad for me, I even liked Optimus Prime appearing (in SPIRIT form) and all in general, but with the chapters passing...

Almost all my accounts are called something with Zora, usually Zora the Dragon or Twilight Dragon, but my TH-cam account was my first account and before I created my Zora character, so that's why it's the only one not having anything to do with Zora XD Still a dragon though. :P

I hate what they did to Bumblebee, they made him go from a skilled, charismatic, nice warrior to an idiot that doesn't know what he's doing.

His head being tiny represents his intelligence.
And also that they changed his design so much.
He looks like he hit Cyber-puberty or something. And it made him awful.
And I am uncertain whether he's still the same height as in Prime or if he grew taller somehow.
Since Starscream is 1 head taller than him in Prime (in his Prime body), and obviously his RID body should be just a BIT bigger than his skinny body.
Yet when we see Star and Bee facing each other...
Well, either Star is STILL 1 head taller than Bee (which either means that Star DIDN'T get taller with his new body, or that he did, and Bee also grew taller over the past 3 years)...
...or they are about the same height, which either means Star SHRUNK, which he most certainly didn't, since he's still bigger than Shadelock (the Vehicon/Miner, which are even quite small), or that Star stayed the same height as in Prime, but BEE grew taller!
I really want Star to have grown bigger with this new body, but it's just almost impossible to tell. I don't think we even get a good look at how big he is compared to OP during the 3 episodes he appears in.
Maybe everyone just stayed the same height. *le sigh*
But I am definitely making Star taller in my fic!

Could you imagine team Bumble Bee trying to fight Predacons? If Smokescreen and Ultra Magnus' fight with Sky Lynx and Dark Steel is anything to go by, the series wouldn't have lasted long.
Because they'd already established why animal bots exist in a satisfing way...granted in a limited print run collectors book but.
I hear Peter was actually a little upset that Prime's sacrifice at the end of TFP would be undone by the sequel. Optimus surrendering himself to The Allspark meant something! But alas...money.

Honestly, in my opinion the role Optimus fills in S1- the cavalry who comes to help with a Con, sent by Primus- feels more like it was meant for Windblade. Like the video mentioned, the lesson scenes with Micronus are very ooc for an experienced military commander like OP, but they could've been establishing scenes for a very different 'godsent warrior' character; an overconfident, naive, well trained but lacking in experience, powerful Windblade. In the og show, Windblade's backstory doesn't fit well-she says she was sent by Primus to hunt down Cons, but why would Primus, an at least quasi-deific entity, trouble Himself with sending an emissary to hunt down the inmates of the Alchemor? It genuinely feels, to me at least, that Windblade's backstory was meant for this, but they decided OP needed to be resurrected instead. In the fanfic I might get around to writing someday, Windblade is trained in the realm of the Primes, then given a measure of power by them and sent to Earth, where, she is promised, she will find allies to help her defeat Megatronus. She finds the Bee Team, setting up with them. In the battle against Megatronus, she uses much of the power the Primes gave her to defeat him, leaving her somewhat weakened for S2. Over the course of S2, she gets used to Earth, gets more humility, develops friendships with the individual members of the team, and learns to fight alongside them.
I'm fine with him returning but in a more mature way

RID Grimlock is a Virgin vs the Chad FoC Grimlock, he even appears in a game called FoC
The only solace I have is that these cheap imitations are not actual sideswipe and grimlock from either games or novals.
Let's be honest, all of them were wasted. None of them were bad characters per sey, poor writing made them fall short of their potential.
Honestly they had so much potential but the writers just wasted their shot.
Which is why we fan writers gotta write them better in our fan fics.
Give them actual interest and plot stuff.

I was waiting for some episode or scene where knockout's even mentioned but the closest we got was in one of the episodes where they're racing he's either in the lineup or it's the exact car he transforms into
and Shockweave? is he a Famous Scientist, did he have emotions again?
furthermore where is the guy? Was he captured or killed? Then say as much. Did he escape? Then where did he go? If he did escape why are they not keeping an eye out and why is he not working inside the series?

They brought Prime back because he's obligatory to apear in *every* iteration of the franchise, even if he doesn't do anything important.
Example: He was just a plot device in Beast Wars.
It made sense there, though, as it was the past. It was before his death.

It would have been soooooo much better to see Ultra Magnus finally getting the spotlight, trying to live up to Optimus' legacy and become a good and kind leader, than see Grumpy Disoriented Dead-but-not-really Optimus somehow return and be as useful as Makeshift.

Omg if bee had to go to Magnus for support, that would've been amazing. Magnus could teach bee about the elite guard which would work perfectly because the elite guard was just Cybertronian police I guess and rid bumblebee is a street cop so it works out quite nicely

Like that theory in Pokémon that Ash went into a coma in episode 1 and the entire series is just a dream.

Maybe it's Ultra Magnus dreaming? Or even Bumblebee or someone else from the cast of Prime? Or Megatron?
One thing they did do right was not bring Megatron back.
His name was even mentioned several times, but he never returned. Since he exiled himself and everything.
I do miss Megatron though.
I actually got really sad when Megatron died in Deadlock and watched the life leave his eyes and insignia. I felt like crying, even though he abused Starscream so much, but you know, even though he's a tyrant and pretty mean, you can't help but love Megatron.
He's a good villain. He's good at being bad.

what’s Robots in Disguise? are you talking about the one made in 2005-ish? cuz that’s the only R.I.D. that exists, and from what I’ve heard it wasn’t terrible.
@@earthsmaher Uh yeah, there are two Robots In Disguise shows.
The original RID 2001 was actually the English dub for "Car Robots", while RID 2015 is American and the "original" name.
I'm saying "original", because while that is the original name of the show, it's not so original since there's already another show with the name Robots In Disguise.
In fact, on the wiki, it says "Featuring more Beast Hunting than Beast Hunters!", which makes me think that "Beast Hunters" would have been a more appropriate name for RID 2015 than season 3 of Prime.
Like... why did they decide to give an entire season its own name?
They didn't really hunt beasts, they hunted fossils, and they only hunt fossils in 3 episodes. Out of 13.
I know they probably named it Beast Hunters because of the toyline Beast Hunters, so the only reason season 3 was named Beast Hunters was to sell toys and to advertise for their Beast Hunters line.
Still, that's hardly an excuse to NOT name the sequel "Beast Hunters" as that is a MUCH more appropriate name than RID 2015.
Heck, they could even have gone and named it "More Than Meets The Eye", so we would have a RID show and a MTMTE show.
But no, we get a 2001 version and a 2015 version. -_-;
The English dub of RID 2001 is definitely better than RID 2015, but it's not one of my favorites.
The only reason why I like RID 2001 is Sky-Byte, my favorite character of that show and my favorite Predacon.
And also Gigatron (Megatron/Galvatron in the English dub) being an 11-changer (10-changer in the show).
How could anyone hate someone who has 11 modes? XD

I do agree with you that Prime season 3 was weirdly named, and Beast Hunters would have been a better name for R.I.D. 2015, but as for naming it More Than Meets The Eye? Plz no XD Imagine how betrayed the MTMTE comic fans would feel if they had a TV series named the same thing as the comics? It would be the same level of devastation (albeit at a smaller scale) that the Star Wars Extended Universe fans felt when the Disnep Star Wars Trilogy came out XD

Honestly I would love this show a lot more if they simply had a reimagined the animal "decepticons" as a result of Shockwave after he cloned the Predacon race bringing them back a civil war broke out over dominance and Bumblebee determined to keep the peace and help Predaking fallow them to earth accompanied by one of Predaking's loyal Predacons. This would give a beast mode transformer instead of them making a 2nd Grimlock, a faction for the enemy instead of using a brand in the war and hype them to be the most dangerous cybertronians alive, and simply having them be Predacons would explain why Bumblebee would struggle against them.

I'm glad Smokescreen didn't show up because he's one of my favourites and if he showed up, they probably would've made him act like a teenager and have him and Sideswipe do some terrible things unlike how we saw Smokescreen at the end of Predacons Rising where he had learned and grew up so much that he was much more thoughtful, humble, and noble. If they had brought him back, I can't even imagine what they would've done to him.
Im glad they left Smokescreen, Arcee, Magnus and especially Wheeljack out of this mess!

R.I.D is obviously not worthy to be called the sequel to Transformers Prime. Bumblebee became an unlikable character. The Autobots had no character development. The Decepticons were not that threatening or intimidating. The show hardly had any memorable or exciting action sequences. I honestly wish that more characters from TFP made a return. The whole series was just extremely disappointing.
At least Rescue Bots and RBA are good sequels/spin-offs of TF Prime

The only real decepticon war criminals in rid15 were Starscream, Soundwave and Cyclonus(megatronus prime wasn't really involved in the war)

I´m sorry Starscream you are one of my faivourite characters and I love you, but GOSH DARN IS THAT AN AWESOME CONCEPT FOR A TF VILLAIN.
Just imagen having a slow built up of threat for like a season. The B-team fighting increasingly more scary and threatening Decepticons and the right at the end of the last episode of the first season we get this scene of this silhouette of a damaged figure in the shadows and then we hear this familiar voice setting up the threat for the next season and then the camera slowly moves to reveal disfigured Starscream with missing wings.
Just the concept of flightless Starscream has so much potential behind it. How would he fight or move without the wings on his back? Would he be bitter or even depressed for not being able to fly? Would there be any lingering signs of physical and or mental pain or even trauma?
This concept would honestly make Starscream a rather scary villain jet still makes him a sympathetic one too.
Theres so much that could be done with this.
And now I´m sad that we didn´t get this.
Also this concept would do wonders For Bumblebee too.
Like he might have never liked Starscream and they were fighting on diffirent sides, but imagen Bee finding out that his team had left someone suffer A fate worse than death. Seeing someone he could have helped now In front of him. Evidence of trauma and agony writen all over them.
The guilt would eat him alive, and there could Be an entire ark for him To deal with it.
And if you really want To make it extra tragic. You could make the connection with Bumblebees destroyed Voicebox and Starscream missing wings.
Now I'm extra sad that we didn't get this.
Imagine something like Scarecrow in the Batman Arkham games and how he was basically a completely different character in Arkham Knight compared to how he was in Arkham Asylum going from being a crazy lunatic to a more condescending villian talking more slowly and eerily after being deformed by Killer Croc. Now imagine Starscream becoming more cynical and less cowardly after what he went through
@@jodsilla6105 Starscream going from a "bad guy with lot to gain and lot to lose" to "compleatly broken person with everything to gain and nothing to lose" I like it.
Revisiting this concept again after a week I have even more things to add to it.
Picture this instead of the season one Decepticons being prisoners who got loose on Earth they are coming to Earth for at first unknown reasons, later one of them would say that they are looking for something and even later it´s revealed that it´s not "something" it´s "someone". Then we would get a Starscreams name drop and explination on who he is but we wouldn´t actually see him until the last episode of the season where the scene I discribed earlier would take place. But instead of SS talking to nobody the scene would actually start with us seeing a one glowing red optic in the dark and a familiar voice is talking about how "Megatron only entrusted The knowlege of the Minicons (assuming that we still want to use that plot point) to his most loyal followers but the way to locate them only to his SIC" By now the mech talking would be revealed to be Shockwave talking to disfigured Starscream promising to built him a new frame for his collaboration and as a show of "good fate" he tells him that the Predacons have been dealt with. SS agrees to team up with SW again setting up the danger for season 2.
as for why SS is hiding on Earth of all places.
I´d imagen that after surviving the Predacons SS toke a escape/stasis pod that had the course for Earth on it and after arriving he went to hide in the remains of the Harbinger taking advantage of the Autobots being absent.

Season 2 would begin with B-team still fighting random Decepticons while SS and SW are working in the background. At some point SS would mention that in order to locate the Minicons he needs to tune in to a specific frequency that only he has knowlege how to aces it. But the Harbingers systems no longer work and SW came to Earth with a escape pod so it would leave the Fix-its ship as their only option.
So in order to find the ship SW captures BB and leaves SS to interrogate him while he goes to make contact with the remaining "Decepticon" forces.
This would be the point where BB finds out about the horrible fate that the Autobots left SS to face and hes stricken with guilt upon seeing how much pain SS is in, it´s made even worse (perhaps even hitting bit too close to home) when SS pauses for a moment to mourn the loss of his wings.
But before more can be done BBs team bursts in to rescue him. Sideswipe attempting to catch SS would get a close look on SS´s wounds (I pictured that up to this point hes been standing in the shadows injuries not fully shown) This would distract him long enough for SS to escape.
This would leave the B-team trying to figure out how to deal with the knowlege of SS´s condision and what to do about it, but they would not still know about SW just yet and BB would start to go trough an ark to deal with the guilt of leaving an enemy to face fate worse than death.
Meanwhile the events would result to SS recovering some of his confidence which causes him to boast to SW how hes "Lucky that he decided to help him with his quest. Since not only is he the only one who can locate the Minicons but hes one of the only two cons with the codes to their stasis pods. The other one being Soundwave but who knows where he is" SW would only respond with "it was only Logical"
The series is mess, the designs are horrible, and by the season when sound wave was being mentioned I was praying to my self that it was the same design. Same mini con and no voice, thank the lord

My least favorite episode in RID. 2015 is the episode with the one with the weird Buffalo con, because. that was a perfect setup to bring back the humans from prime, if in the first episode of Prime Fowler confronts team prime because of a traffic jam that involved two vehicles that RESEMBLED Bee and Arcee, but no, a giant orange robo buffalo rampaging through the streets and dozens of civilians seeing bumblebee IN HIS ROBOT MODE doesn't warrant the government calling on the autobot's human liasons and leading/only experts on them

The creators of RID SOMEHOW don't know what happened to any characters who appeared on Prime but not on RID.
So BASICALLY, in a nutshell, if it didn't appear on RID, it doesn't exist.
Not to count the art style which makes me pretty upset because the Aligned Continuity had this somewhat worn out yet cool style. The Cybertronians had simple, yet detailed art style.
Take WfC, FoC and Prime.
Then RID makes everything look underdetailed. The textures look flat, character design is oversimplified compared to WfC, FoC or even Prime. They SOMEHOW effed up the faces beyond belief while Prime executed it near damn perfectly. Its just these weird grey faces on robot armor without any of the fine little details from Prime.
Not to count how they basically disregarded the damn powerful bond Raf and Bee had.
And for real, THESE are the most wanted Decepticons?
Since this is the Aligned continuity, I can give lots of examples of characters in FoC who would fit WAY better Most Wanted for their crimes.
Lets see, all of the Combaticons, much like Vortex who was a Decepticon interrogator... Oh yeah and they could combine into FRIGGING BRUTICUS That'd be a nice threat.
But no.
Villain of the week.
No stakes.
No real danger.
No actual character.
No spider Waifu.

Since the WFC Hot Shot later changes his name to Rodimus, I guess his former name doesn't matter much. It was due to trademark issues, I believe.
And then there seems to be two different other Hot Shots under the same page.
There's the RBA Hot Shot, design based on Armada Hot Shot (jAaAM XD), and then there's a "Prime" Hot Shot which is a blue recolor of Bumblebee, with goggles, and a mouth, and orange flames on the hood and sides of his car mode, probably as an homage to the Cybertron Hot Shot who was also blue (and created flames when using CYBER KEY POWAAAH!).
Ofc, the blue Hot Shot is part of the thing called "Unreliable Narratives", which, from what I can see, is probably not really canon. Especially by the title.
I don't want to believe that these two Hot Shots are the same. I want to think they are different, but that they might perhaps be related in some way.
Like, they could be brothers (that for some reason decided to both take the name Hot Shot?) or that the blue Hot Shot is about the same age as Bee and Smoke, but went with the Wreckers (or whoever Kup is with) instead of going with the other Autobots on the Ark. And that he later returned, a new Hot Shot emerges from the well, and he decides to adopt him (maybe as a little brother?) and name him Hot Shot as well (since it's possible that Whirl adopted Whirl and named her after himself XD, why not others as well?).
In my fic, I decided to make the blue Hot Shot be created from one of the blank Protoforms on the Harbinger, joining with the Autobots and scanning Bumblebee's bot mode and car mode for design (instead of cloning them, they were just given regular Energon, not sure how it actually works, but I tried to make it work), and he named himself Hot Shot because Wheeljack and Bulkhead told him about Rodimus who was formerly called Hot Shot. And later, when life returns to Cybertron, he will adopt little Hot Shot and name him after himself.
There are many possibilities with these Protoforms. But only if Starscream isn't a rogue during season 2. :)

Rescue bots was THE show for me even tho it was for younger kids I loved it they weren't scared to definitely put the bots and characters in danger and even injure them sometimes
That Starscream idea was brilliant, they don’t explain how he managed to change his body style, thy don’t show his trauma at being abused by Megatron, or getting attacked by Predacons, or the PTSD of the war in general, he’s just generic bad guy, like every other villain in the show.
And Shockwave or Soundwave also would’ve been fantastic to see as well
Edit: I know Soundwave appeared, but he didn’t seem traumatized or enraged or paranoid after being stuck in the shadow zone for so long, and seeing his former leader dead before he simply abandoned him and the Decepticons as a whole, wtf RID?

-Return of other character from TFP
-Megatron’s redemption arc
-Better writing on Russell and Denny (+ bring Hank into the mix)

honestly, out of all team bumblebee i liked grimlock the most because it felt like he got the best, most consistent writing. of course the character has its own problems (thanks aligned) meta-wise xd

I couldn't even make it past season 1. Optimus was such terrible character this time. He keeps charging at megatronus and failing. Hes way too gung-ho and awful at combat compared to the master tactician and skilled warrior we used to know. I also don't like grimlock, I think they only added him because grimlock was in transformers age of extinction a year earlier

I’ve never understood the whole, “It’s a kid’s show” excuse. I’m 13 and I’ve loved prime since I was 6. RID was just dry and had 0 depth. The first episode was alright, but it went downhill after that. Oh well, at least I enjoyed the Siege Netflix show.
And one thing You can't compare siege which is darker and where robots are kiling brutaly but here...

@@Tom-oz7wk maybe during the time in the Realm of the Primes, his new body doesn't have guns or swords. Instead, they gave him a Decepticon Hunter Device.
Also, built-in weapons even though they look cool, they also come with serious downsides. Remember when Megatron almost killed himself when he accidentally shot himself in ROTF? That's one. Optimus' Energon sword was also scrapped due to Galvatron's chest in AOE. There was a reason why they use handheld weapons in TF3 and RID.
@@duyducluu6821 I'll admit that handheld weapons are probably more practical (ultra Magnus had a very nice gun cabinet). I just think that weapons like that can be easily knocked out of the users hand or even used against them and then they have no defence because there's no built in weapons. But I also think it's silly they didn't send someone like vector prime (who can control time and reality in general) instead of Optimus who's only ability is turning into a truck
You know, I always wanted a sequel to prime where Megatron retires and lives as a humble citizen in peace on cybertron , and a new evil force starts manipulating certain deception outbreaks with the start kind of like Rid but with good writing and perhaps more two partners with some real stakes. The auto bot team would probably consist of Bee, ironhide, now a more calm and collected Arcee,and knockout. Then it reveals that Soundwave, now soundblast (as a reference too soundwave’s headmaster series transformation) was behind the things the whole time and got back out of the other dimension at the end of the first season, then he murders the now peaceful megatron to show them real stakes.
The second season starts with soundblast looking for a certain mystery person that he deems would help the deception cause and butts heads with a disfigured and dying star scream and arachnid’s zombie army adding another faction into the autobiography decepticons, the terrorcons. And then stuff just goes down and the climax of the series starts, bumblebee starts losing a hell lot more and questions if he is worthy to be the leader, then ghost optimus joins the fight and guides bee, this time staying dead, and bee is forced to call upon reinforcements from old friends, the now wreckers bulkhead, wheel jack, ultra magnus, the predacons, and even maybe even a double down classic G1 and animated reference with the autobot elite guards like prowl, jazz, all that good stuff. The mysterious person soundwave was looking for was shockwave and they work together to create a huge army of battle ready decepticon army.

At this point, Siege was better compared to RID.
There were only 6 episodes in Siege and I finished them in 3-4 hours. It was okay but at the same time it was different. Something that was memorable.
I clicked out after episode 2 for RID but I did watched a few episodes out of boredom. I keep on thinking 'sooooo....Why bring Optimus back? What's his purpose?'
Forgot most of the episodes by now but I remember Bumblebee being a jerk to Optimus. Total let down. 😑😪

Robots in Disguise: An Unbridled Rage
A little late, but something just occurred to me a few days ago...
RiD 'supposedly' takes place about 10 years after Prime, which means the vast majority of Cybertronians are 10 years old at the most. This means several things.
1. Child soldiers. That is extremely messed up.
2. Child criminals. Although it's entirely possible that the term 'Decepticon' is used to describe anyone who doesn't conform to 'the system'. What upbringing have these Decepticons had to be in the business so early?
3. The human characters are most likely all older than most of the cast. Not exactly messed up, just weird.
4. Necc.
Rescue bots confirm that rid takes place only around 3 years after.
The fact that they didn’t use the Grimlock from Fall of Cybertron is unforgivable. In fact, that was actually the original plan before it got scrapped.
One of the problems with rid is that it played things a little too safe. They thought kids could not handle dark or complex things.
My least favorite thing about this is how they butchered the awesome sword and shield wielding Grimlock.
How did he go to one of Optimus’s most powerful allies, to the Patrick Star of transformers?
It's confirmed not the same grimlock as the one in the games same with sideswipe. Some bots just share the same name.
