I went to Walmart and saw a bunch of outfits you featured. They looked like they came straight out of the box and just looked terrible. I don’t think I’d spend my money on them.

I’m addicted to Wit & Wisdom jeans that I buy at Nordstrom. So many styles, fabric washes and finishes, and varying lengths. Good options for us tall gals. And not outrageously priced either.

I am a total Nordstrom girl however, I have been shopping at Walmart a little bc of you, and have been pleasantly surprised. And even wore a shirt dresses to work from Walmart. My friends nearly lost their mind!!

I like the comfort in my Kut From The Kloth jean styles I wear as well as Wit and Wisdom - and they’re much more affordable.
Shirts, sweaters, tops, pants - J. Crew, Banana Republic and Quince. Crew and Banana usually have sales.
I enjoy both less expensive and higher quality pieces. In my world, I need both. High end jeans are a splurge I am willing to justify. Thank you for your dedication to us women over 50.

I always enjoy your videos. This year I’m a budget girl as we have to put a new roof on our house ($20k) and we remodeled two of our bathrooms last year down to the studs and created a second closet for me. Options I’m looking at run from $1900 to $3k. Lots of expenses for us right now so I’m all about budget. I do enjoy thrifting though and pick up the rails shirts in excellent condition for around $30 to $35. Love rails but at thrifted prices.

I like more high end denim but for trendy denim I don’t mind budget friendly.
I love a quality garment for the most part. I love the Chico’s look but at 5’2” their tops are way to long in the sleeves and body. I just don’t understand only petite size bottoms at Chico’s. I am a true petite. I almost never shop at Walmart or Amazon because of sizing. I usually shop at Talbots or jJill for real petite clothes.
Still I love to see whatever haul from whatever store you come up with!😊

Love your style & content. I prefer denim in the $65-85 range. I have a hard time paying $100 or over for jeans.
I would drive for hours to shop if there were a physical Nordstrom store anywhere in my state. I suspect inventory is low because too many people shop online when they could shop in store. On the other hand, those of us who have no possibility of shopping in store are forced to shop online.thanks for the ideas .
I think inventory in stores is low because it's expensive to keep it in a store. It's more cost effective to have it in a central location that's available to more people.

I love Chico’s jeans! I’m going to have to grab those cream ones! Even though I’m 5’3.5”, I have longer legs and can wear the regular length.🎉I do wish they had more of a petit selection in the tops, though. I’ve gone in store to try on something I saw in the catalog and it simply did not fit correctly. Ugh….

AG Farrah were my first premium jeans and I love them. Always have. Bought them at Nordy’s. Agree with in store experience if you need something better plan ahead and order on line.

So if you don't have narrow shoulders & are more athletic - SIZE UP

Not so much a " premium denim" person as my favorite jeans are mostly from Old Navy but I do love nicer splurge pieces to mix in with my more budget conscious finds. I don't think there's any conflict there! Both are great and I can wear Walmart and amazon with Nordstrom. I like all the videos but I honestly value your budget ones the most because it's easy to go into a nice store or on a nice webpage and find great looks. But having your help to source the best and most inconspicuously budget pieces is such a great service. I have a pair of Walmart boots you featured that were so comfortable, cute, and budget friendly I regularly pick them over other options I have like frye and I really value that. I know my frye boots will be quality but I wouldn't find the hidden gems at Walmart without you.

I shop all over, from charity shops to Chico, White House black market, Dillards Walmart. If it fits great and looks great and I feel like I can wear it for years then I buy it.

I enjoy finding the brand, fabric, size that I love then put it on my wishlist. I look for sales now that I’m retired from corporate wear. I’m easy comfortable clothes that look put together. ❤❤
As I get older and start to downsize, I want quality over quantity - and I think that is especially true about jeans. So, I am willing to pay more money for premium jeans that fit well. Love the AG jeans you tried on, and the Chico's jeans were really flattering, too!

Baby bootcut can look good, but they need a heel. They are especially good at balancing girls with pear shapes.
I have been buying my jeans at Maurice’s. But, 2 of my jeans have lost their shape. So in that case, from a longevity point of view, premium jeans can be worthwhile. Agree with you about Nordstrom in-store shopping. And the stuff at the Rack is lower quality than Ross. Surprised how cute the Chico’s outfits are. I just got a flyer in the mail and everything looked a bit frumpy…didn’t feature these cute items at all. I will go on line and take a look!

My favorite Jean silhouette on me is a flair, but I've been exploring others. I didn't think I could wear wide leg jeans (even though I love them on other women), so I never gave them much thought. Then one day I saw a woman wearing them with her cowboy boots, and I had to try them. Most of the time they made me look short and dumpy, but I finally found a pair at Old Navy that I Love! I had forgotten about Old Navy jeans and how much I love them.
So if anyone is looking for wide legs with no luck, I would suggest trying out Old Navy.
I have my Lucky brand olive jacket for years, but now it’s too big for me..I’m considering ordering it again in a smaller size… such a good spring jacket

What I liked in that video was you showed how you showed black jeans and dressed it up with the red Pleione blouse. There were so many great ideas in that video so maybe you could do something similar . Actually that was one of the most practical yet stylish videos I've ever seen !!
Thank you for this video! As always! Go Goldgirl team! I was waiting for a video with a little bit more splurging. I appreciate the budget friendly options but I am always looking for classic and well made styles that I can keep for a long time. The Chico's options are good for my work at a legal office. We are up in Western Washington and although, it's mostly flannels and jeans up here (Land of lumber, forests, hiking and home of grunge), I have my personal standards! LOL. I've only worn jeans twice at the office (and NEVER open toe shoes! HA!) .....but, I think I can loosen up on myself a bit. I have a weakness for a good trend now and then but, as I am getting older, I tend to go more towards spending a little more and wearing it a little longer!
Premium denim only- Joe's, DL1961....have had a lot of them for 5 and 7 years. Love Caslon, nice to see they still have reliable and nice pieces when a lot of other labels have gone off the rails with cropped, oversized, and boxy hideous crap!

I have the Chico ponte jacket and I love it. I too have large chest and this style is so flattering on me as the “lady jacket” just doesn’t look great on me. Thanks for a great video!
I love the pintuck jeans, but rarely shop at Chico's. Seriously considering these when a sale pops up. I am a Nordstrom girl and do not shop at Walmart or Amazon for clothes, but love you and your videos. You look great.

For denim I really prefer middle of the line. I can’t bring myself to spend over $200 on a pair of jeans. And I think you can find a great pair that fit you really good at that price range. I don’t mind spending $100-$125 on the pair of jeans. My favorite jeans from Nordstrom‘s are wet and wisdom and they usually run about $80. And I bought the trouser jeans from Chicos per your recommendation and with the sale at the time they were $80. I love them both so much.
I can relate to that-most of my favorite jeans are around $100 or less. I do think it's not a bad idea to figure out the sizing on premium denim options because when it goes on sale, then I can snatch them up!
@@MsGoldgirl 100% agree! I went to Nordstrom‘s awhile ago for that purpose only. I tried on every brand they had. And it was great😀 to know because NYDJ is way too long for me. I am lazy and probably won’t get them tailored, so I was glad to know that. And during the anniversary sale, you can find some great deals on jeans you wouldn’t normally spend that money on.
I actually love Chicos basic pants.. no embroidery for me! They fit my body the best. I spend a lot more money on cashmere and jackets.

Very nice video. I'm not a high end jean shopper. There are so many styles out now, I'd rather have variety. But I do watch for high end styles you share at my local resale shop! I get the price and the style!
