      Barnes466 there are officially 3 nations inside Canada. Quebec is one of them. Canada is a federation. There is no uniform culture. Saying it as a Québécoise, visit Ontario and then Newfoundland... seems like 2 different countries and they are considered being from the same Nation. So yes Quebec stands out even more. Separatist or not, denying it is delusional:-). Love Newfoundland!! Don’t like Toronto:-(.

    • @krisppynugget
      @krisppynugget 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rachel Vanneste Hey as someone who's planning on visiting and staying a few months at Saskatoon, I'd like to ask if you'd have some recommendations to offer? Things to do and/or good places to hang out at during stay there? The Prairies aren't known for attracting many people but I know that each town and province has their charm!

    • @RachelVanneste
      @RachelVanneste 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do feel Saskatoon is very charming with lots of great things to do. Check out the vagabrother's video on Saskatoon and Saskatchewan (published a few months before this Quebec one).
      TBH, I am basically in suburban-mom mode, so don't know all the latest places to eat and hang in Saskatoon right now. Neighborhoods to consider for good food and things to do would be Broadway, Riversdale, and downtown. Search Instagram/Twitter for #yxe or #saskatoon to get idea of what is new and great right now.
      And definitely visit Prince Albert National Park if you can (2.5 hours North of Saskatoon).

      I was born in Saskatoon and lived the first seven years of my life in Prince Albert. We moved to Québec when I was seven. It took my dad some getting used to the humidity of the St Laurent valley, prairie boy that he was. Go Rough Riders!

    Great stuff guys, Quebec City looks absolutely gorgeous, especially cool to see it in the winter. Great to get a taste of the history as well, I hadn't known there was a war between the French and English there but that of course explains a lot. Killer drone footage.

    The poll options at one point ask what we like in the vids and there are some choices including between Alex OR Marko in the content. Well, I for one like it when you are both there, first one, then the other, or both bouncing ideas and comments around, it's an interesting vibe and there are not so many echt bro teams out there, which you do so well. So that is my 2 cents' worth: I like content from the both of you. I could never do something like this with my brother so it is interesting to see how it works.
    Also, 'found' you when you met up with the High On Life team so collabs are always good.

    Vagabrothers, your explanation is too short. Here are the full details:
    1- September 13th 1759 Batlle of the plains of Abraham. French and Canadian defeated (The English army won).
    2- April 28th 1760 Batlle of Sainte-Foy. English army defeated (French and Canadians won).
    3- September 8th 1760. Capitulation of Montréal by the New France government (to avoid civilian casualties).
    4- February 10th 1763. Treaty of Paris in which France gave officially New-France to the United-Kingdom.
    The fate of New-France was sealed by the Treaty of paris, not by the battle of the plains of Abraham.

    Suggestion: some more establishing shots of the restaurants you visit would be nice. Like what it looks like inside, a few more outside, give the audience a feel for where you are, at the mo it's about 90 per cent food in those sequences hahaha, which isn't a bad thing! just think it'd be better to shoot the surroundings a little more!

    Quebec City is very European looking in Old Town. I find Quebec City to be a very pretty city...and Montreal is like the party city of Canada, lots of night life. They are only about 3 hours apart Quebec City-Montreal by train or car, so I'd recommend see both if possible. Quebec City is very unique to North America. Negative thing tho about both cities is there Winters are harsh, lots of snow, and some pretty dam cold days of -20c or colder through out January-March in both cities, tho Quebec City is even colder and more snow then Montreal, but both cities can be harsh, summers are good weather tho!

    with my eyes wide open I watched the ice canoe race. It was such an superb experience! I am so thankful for presenting such an informativ and yet interesting video! It would be nice though, if you filmed a bit more about the inside look of the castle hotel.

    It looks so cold there! I been to Quebec during summer, well not really summer to what I'm used to in Australia, their summer is almost like our winter lol. Really nice place to visit though. Love the buildings

      Marie Tielmann in the winter time, the temperature averages -15 celcius. great weather to go and play outside, for us Canadian!!

    • @irishrover9332
      @irishrover9332 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quebec regularly hits +30 & even nearly 40 in the summers, i've lived in Melbourne, Sydney and have experienced colder weather then Quebec in the summer.
      Quebecs reputation in the summer is HOT so obviously you got a bad week. Australia lacks the culture of Quebec and it's hard to find Quebec Bogans! Aus is full of Bogans Lol..
