Great vid mate! Going on holidays up there soon and was wondering if you know if shute harbour ramp is useable for 6.5 mtr boat.
Hey Chris, I tried to launch there myself on my last trip but it was just too shallow for me, I got a 7.8m boat and tried to sink the trailer as deep as I could but just no good. Ended up driving back to Port of Airlie boat ramp.

Great video Johnny, what knots do you use for tying your leader to braid and tying the meathead jigs on with?
I just tie a uni to uni knot for my braid to leader connection. Usually just tie a blood knot to my hook or lure. 👌

Hey Johnny, when you are towing long distances just wandering whether you support outboard leg and also what you do to prevent stone chips on outboard and boat. Any advice would be much appreciated. Planning on doing the big row up there soon.
Hey Aaron, I haven’t got stone deflectors on my trailer so I have had quite a few stone chips on my gel coat on boat. I took it to fibreglassing shop to get buffed out and patched up. It’s generally not too bad with stones. I use one of those Yamaha chocks which help secure and lock the motor into place when travelling.

Hey Johnny why do you bait the jig do they work without bait
Great question mate. The jigs from Berserker are specifically designed to hold bait. The range of hybrid lures are called meat heads. I have caught plenty of fish once the mullet fillet has been munched by the peckers. It’s the best of both worlds cos once the bait is gone you can just jig it. 👌
