I don't normally eat at very many high end fancy restaurants like this. But my friend David ( / the.hungry.tourist ) invited me to eat at Eyal Shani's flagship restaurant in Tel Aviv known as Ha Salon (The Salon), saying it was one of the most unique restaurants you'll ever try. So thank you to David for getting reservations and for covering this meal.
It turned out to be very exciting, with a full open kitchen where you could watch all the food being prepared in front of you. It was lively, and the food was prepared with extremely high quality ingredients.
A couple things for you to know:
1. It's extremely expensive
2. It's a very party environment, so don't come here for a quiet relaxed date where you can have a conversation.

I was fortunate enough to have docked in Haifa and flew out of Tel Aviv while in the Navy. Let me say that it was beautiful, warm and mouth dropping eats!!! I will go back and visit in just a spell. Great video! 💕

Tel Aviv foods are amazingly delicious, as well as there are some amazingly delicious,:tasty foods in Jerusalem and Haifa!!
i think your trip to israel gave you one of the most interesting experience, especially that you were with David. david really showed you the food highlights there, and im so happy he gave you a chance to experience it. your videos on israel were one of my favorites in your channel. i havent thought of visiting because i did not know much about the area except its religious significance, but you made me want to visit in the future and visit one of these places, especially in jerusalem. i cant wait to try their hummus

if you come here and want amazing humus go to Miznon Dani at Olei Zion Str 8 Tel aviv.it's my favorite place,and if you want great falafel try hakosem i would also recommend m25 in carmel market they have some fingerlicking shawarma.

Food Ecstasy is how I would describe this experience. Coupled with James Brown's music in the background...the total uniqueness of Eyal Shani Ha Salon...now you know what it must be like to go to food heaven.

You watch too much TV. America currently holds the no 1 best restaurant in the world, Eleven Madison Park beating French, Italian and Spanish title holders.
Its about the video and Marks enthusiastic presentation and not the food per se... What I don't like about the food industry/business/whatever is this stupid competitive attitude... I definitely hate that. I'm a very good cook, I was raised in São Paulo, one of the best places in the world for food and good restaurants, but I'd never open a restaurant or work in the industry in any capacity...

Mark! I don't know if I can get used to all of this high-end dining! The prices are insane, but the food all looks amazing. You always look like you really enjoy and appreciate the food, the culture and the people you're immersed in.

Great food is great food, no matter if from a cheapie food stall or a high end off the hog restaurant. It's the experience we treasure; the smells, the visual treat, the uniqueness, the pure unadulterated pleasure. You have really upped your game, Mark. Hi Mark. I've been following you for months now, and have been traveling around Asia, trying out as many of your recommendations as I could, and I have to say, they do not disappoint!! In fact, not only does all the food I've tried from your recommendations taste amazing, but I have effortlessly lost weight simply eating less because I am eating better . I cannot thank you enough for those referrals. I recently Saw your video on 1 million subscribers- congratulations!! You have proven that success is mostly up here, and that we are capable of four more than we think we are . Kudos! know I am too late for the contest, but I wanted to, if I may, give my feedback on what type of video I'd like to see more of. I love the videos that show how something is made, especially exquisite, specialty dishes that many of us have never heard of before. It is so entertaining, enlightening and inspiring to watch! It's fun to see you enjoy something out of your norm, so this was a nice treat. To me, what makes Migrationology stand out of those typical award winning top chef/travel food shows on TV, cable or netflix (that I used to watch until I found Migrationology), is how humble and sincere you and your family are and no matter where you take us, from someone's kitchen at home to the highest end restaurant, It feels like we are there as your guests and that we are your number one priority for taking us there.

I would go for the simple fact that Jerusalem is one of the most interestingly historic cities in the entire world. Israel was a hotspot for trade (along with Phoencia) in ancient times and you are literally tripping over 1000s of years of history there. Plus, the food is awesome! Best bread I've had compared to anywhere else in the world that I've been. The food alone would almost make me go back, but I think Israel is a little expensive for just a foodie trip. If it weren't for the suicide bombers trying to blow everyone up, it wouldn't be so barbaric!
