The names of those Cities are all along "The Coal Belt". The railroads rode all up and down the Appalachian Mountains, from Ohio/KY into the top of Georgia and Birmingham, AL etc. All of Coal County/Economy was connected by smaller cities/hubs in the mountains (Chattanooga, TN etc). The trains carried bottles etc back and forth.

Geez, my favorite bottle? Thats pretty darn difficult. I really loved the straight side Pepsi. Of course all the pictorial elephant bottles. Just a fantastic dig and video guys.

The purple clay marble looks like an early Akro Agate slag marble from 1910s period.. the orange marble is later...probably 1930s..nice variety of good condition early Soda bottles.

I have been studying historic Bham coal mining for a grant and teaching unit. After looking at census records from this time period a lot of north Jefferson county coal mining communities were full of families (a lot of immigrants) that moved from coal mining communities in Kentucky, Ohio, and PA to work our mines. I like to think the bottles you found from Ky and Ohio traveled with them to their new homes and jobs. The time period would fit with when a lot moved into our area.
