I have three competing theories surrounding the end of Paladin Straight: 1. Clancy is the true end, emblematic of the whole mental health as a cycle analogy. There is no follow up; it just continues again and again. 2. The albums were released out of order. Clancy is actually the penultimate story, with Blurryface being the conclusion. This makes sense as Nico in the Dema storyline was synonymous with the character of Blurryface, and that album is about a one-on-one confrontation between Tyler (aka Clancy) and Blurryface (aka Nico). Goner (especially the live version) also seems to hint at the end that with help, Tyler is victorious over Blurryface. 3. The Double Album theory is correct, and the final chapter has yet to be seen or heard. This always seemed like a pipe dream to me, but after the pop-up exhibit puzzle pointing to Clancy: The Final Chapter, plus Tyler’s remarks at the end of the livestream, it doesn’t seem as far fetched to me anymore. In fact, I think this is the most plausible theory at that point.
These are all excellent theories - and I never would have thought of your theories 1 and 2. But I do have a 4th one to add: The possibility that the narrative will wrap up through film instead of through music, potentially all within an extended length Palladin Strait music video.
Im not sure if the second theory is correct, as the “I Am Clancy” video and all of the moon artifacts on the website all point to a chronological order through album release dates. Tøp have a playlist called the story on their page on TH-cam and it has all the music videos in order and they all make sense when stringed together. A very interesting theory but I’m not sure that it’s correct.
I won’t buy into a double album until it’s played in front of me. I believe it to be either a final song or the tour. Maybe even a livestream event similar to SAI had. But I refuse to get my hopes up for a double album bc I would be disappointed with anything else😂
I’ve never seen any videos from your channel before but the OG Spider-Man posters let me in on the fact that you must be the chillest top fan of all time |-/
Absolutely love your videos! I sometimes get a little confused with the lore and you help me understand it so much easier. I also noticed in every new clip you put up a new photo of a bishop, only to rip them at the end. Mysterious?????!!!!!!
25 days from the exhibition is Josh's bday and the anniversary of the first published Clancy Letter so Im thinking that may be the day that if something is going to released its going to happen then
Looking back at it now, what if at the end of Paladian Strait, the voice that says "So Few, So Proud, So Emotional is Tyler from FAIRLY LOCAL! The contrasting themes would fit too, I mean, he's fighting himself... He's now wearing all black with red accents, and in Fairly Local, he's wearing all white with red accents so that would fit too, when he says in Fairly Local "Yo, you Bulletproof, and black like funeral" He wasn't talking about us, he was talking about Clancy...?
i have a video of myself reacting to paladin strait and said multiple times during the birds part “wow.. that’s it.” i was literally thinking about leaving the live stream. i almost ended the video also. i was so confused when the uke came and gasped when i heard nico’s voice. it’s an experience you can only have once and only if you were there. i really hope you’re right about more music and more dema!!
DUUUDEEEEEEE the first time I heard the end of Paladin Strait was crazy!!! Me, my sister, and my mom were watching the livestream (we're big TOP fans). After Tyler said "does this sound like the end?", I was like, ".....this is it....." and we heard the song. I admit, we didn't pay attention much, cause my sister was getting squirly (she's younger than 13). But after the singing stopped, we assumed it was the end, so my mom started telling us to brush our teeth. But then after a few minutes I was wondering, "Why is it still going? Shouldn't they cut if off?". And after a while, the uke started again. I thought it was like a loop or something that would go on for the rest of the night. But then we heard the sound of the door opening, and I yelled out "WAIT! SOMETHING'S HAPPENING!!" to my mom and sister. After hearing Blurryface's voice, the livestream ended, and me and my sister started freaking out!! I kept talking to my mom about it while brushing my teeth. And about the theory, you're probably right. They wouldn't "accidently" not say "full-length album" without a sort of lore attached to it. And rehearing Tyler say "Does this sound like the end?" sounds more and more sus. They also said they knew the whole Dema and Trench storyline would happen. And you can't end a story with a cliffhanger, cause then everyone will just be talking about the story. My mom thinks that in the music video it will reveal that the whole story about the banditos and him escaping was just a dream and Tyler made it all up and that's the end. I mean, that's been the plot about everything so far, so she's probably right. BUT THAT WOULD BE SO SAD!!!! To have this crazy story going on for almost 6 years, only to have everything made up. If that is the plot, I'm gonna cry. IT BETTER NOT BE THE END!!!!! TRENCH WILL WINN!!!!!!!
I view this as the end of tbe story, yes im hyped for a new chapter the final of this 9 year story, because something rings in my ears when i hear key songs. Backslide and Snap Back, both songs are in parallel to eachother Snap Back im assuming is related to a backslide since he mentions a backslide in the song. Not only that but the way the "Hello Clancy" leads back into the intro of "Overcompensate" it feels like the listener had a backslide and ended up back to the beginning of the journey only to go back and start it again. "Mapping out the path a thousand times" refuring to listening to the songs over and over again. Reliving the journey only to start again.
I think something in this album cycle will end up circling back to Isle of Flightless Birds. Paladin talks about crossing the paladin Strait and that could be to and Isle or Island. Also, the first lyric of iofb is "now is the climax to the story" which the 'final battle' will be. This could mean they play it on tour perhaps to finish the cycle of the story and go back to the beginning? Also, the lyrics "and he is waiting oh so patiently while we repeat the same routine..." shows blurry is waiting for clancy (hello clancy) and then the cycle will repeat like in backslide. Also, its a reference to routines in the night....
Something is a bit off about the story line's order. In "The Judge" from the Blurryface album there is a lyric, " three lights are lit, but the fourth ones out". In the music video of navigating, there are the three Banditos with torches, with Clancy behind with no torch. I am not sure what this has to do with anything, but someone else may
I feel like this song and the music video will be about escaping Dema but being pulled back in because of the lyrics "Makin' my way towards you", "Can't be sure that I'll make it Even though I'm past the point of no return" And the end of the song "So few, so proud, so emotional Hello, Clancy"
When Tyler on the live stream asked if Paladin Strait sounded like the end, I was actually pretty uncertain to the answer. While in one sense it does seem to lack lyrical finality, It's hard to imagine a song that is musically more of a finale than Paladin Strait..
No chances x Paladin strait Do you think that the ukulele part before Nico opens the door is similar to the guitar part in No chances before the bishops sing “we come for you, no chances” near the end of the song?
But Tyler has climbed the tower, given it's a music video it'll be weird then cutting to him somewhere else when Niko opens what sounds like a prison kinda door. Which makes me think the real Clancy isn't dead. In trapdoor Tyler "uses a name he saw on grave" the end goal of dema is suicide your name is then placed on a neon gravestone? We know the gravestones surround, when tyler escaped he saw it and took that name on. Mabey you don't actually die in dema and Niko has gone to get the real Clancy for whatever reason ? Idk
there is a video by @gooddaydema explaining her pov on who is clancy (after the i am clancy video) which i think would answer some of your questions ;-)
In the lyrics Clancy yells for Nico to show himself. Also we know Blurryface aka Nico's voice sounds like that bc he sounds like that in multiple songs on Blurryface |-/
My totally real theory is a comically large cage is going to fall on Clancy and the banditos and Nico will turn around in his chair and reveal himself and say “right where I got you” or “well well well if it isn’t Clancy” 😈 this is definitely a legit theory I 100% believe in
This is the type of content that proves that TOP is the best band out right now.
Thank you! Yes, TØP is the best band |-/
I’m like how does he not have a million awards??? This is better than watching a TV series it’s soooo poetic, so powerful!

I also heard "Clancy ultimus capitulus" has 25 at the end. So maybe the full length album will have 25 songs.
I really hope this is true |-/
Prolly for 2025
I just made a TikTok saying this!!
Or 12 to make 25 out of Clancy and whatever one is next
Josh's birthday was in 25 days and his birthday also playing an important part of the lore. Could come out on his birthday?!🤷♀️
I won’t buy into a double album until it’s played in front of me. I believe it to be either a final song or the tour. Maybe even a livestream event similar to SAI had. But I refuse to get my hopes up for a double album bc I would be disappointed with anything else😂
Honestly same
I kept laughing you kept taping more pics to the wall between cutaways 😂
i was wondering if anyone else noticed (:
Thank you haha |-/

I feel like the line "just a glimpse of visual aid" is literally this placeholder video
There needs to be a jumpscare warning for the end of this video that scared the crap out of me 😂😂😭
Oh no, sorry!! 😅 |-/
Absolutely love your videos! I sometimes get a little confused with the lore and you help me understand it so much easier. I also noticed in every new clip you put up a new photo of a bishop, only to rip them at the end. Mysterious?????!!!!!!
Thank you so much! Yay that's great to hear! Haha needed to make clear that I'm on the side of the banditos |-/
25 days from the exhibition is Josh's bday and the anniversary of the first published Clancy Letter so Im thinking that may be the day that if something is going to released its going to happen then
That one minute birds is for all glorious gone i think

I think a single is more likely than a double album or delux edition
explaining all things about the end of the lore in only one single? Hmm
A chapter is more than one song

Love and appreciate the efforts and ending to your video here. Thats dedication to the bamd and love of the lore!

when i first heard Nicos voice in the background, my heart almost stopped
Was waiting for this video, by far my favorite tøp theory channel!!
Thank you, that means a lot to me!! |-/
I don't know why I just got goosebumps. I don't even know half of the lore but love the music.

Definitely think it loops back into the first released album

I know I'm off initially I've seen multiple POVs about Clancy it's just the end of the song has thrown me off completely@@inescosta2671
What is left for the Bishops? Dema was set on fire in the Outside music video
i'd like to think that isle of flightless birds is the continue to paladins strait
Can someone explain why we think its neco at the end of the song. I thought the FPE line was from the bishop andre's song
In the lyrics Clancy yells for Nico to show himself. Also we know Blurryface aka Nico's voice sounds like that bc he sounds like that in multiple songs on Blurryface |-/
idk if im ready for the ending scene of the music video
MAN ME NEITHER

"You've fallen right into our trap! Muhehehe!!"
Personally I think there could be one more song next to paladin straight to wrap up everything
I agree, if you notice there is usually 14 songs per album this one had 13 meaning it's possible
@@piggylover55 Could be. Scaled and icy only had 11 tracks though
@@b1zb0z yeah but it wasn't "real" tyler "didn't" write it
I’m just trying to work out the pictures behind you and why they were getting bigger 😂
You explained the song one minute faster than the song 💀
