I am thinking that if the same day that Party Line (RG pilots with Gene Rayburn emcee -- Jay Stewart announcing) were recorded at NBC and Sale was, that might be when Harlan or Gilbert announced. Something tells me that they only announced 1 episode instead of a full week. Don't know the date of that.
THe cash jackpot was first hit for $82K on July 13, 1983 by RIchard Heft. Ergo, the cash jackpot debuted May 30, 1983, as RIchard was the first one to win the cash jackpot. Barbara Phillips' $68K cash jackpot and lot win date is known to be 19 days later on AUgust 9, 1983. They don't mention the cash jackpot during this partial show or in the opening, so this could be May 27, 1983 as the paint sale could have been a two week sale. IIRC the debut of the Cash Jackpot is the day the $10 and $15 money cards debuted in the Fame Game.
I actually like it better when the Fame Game has actual celebrity faces instead of numbers.
this had to be on before memorial day because thats when they started having three money cards
I miss Product 19.
Btw Linda Freeman, would be on later on in 1985 against Skip Jordan.
I noticed that too. Is there a chance she was wronged on this version, or did the syndie version allow former network contestants?
Trapper John (Pernell Roberts) promotes Product 19 cereal early in this clip!
Did You Know: Pernell Roberts left Bonanza because he was tired of the 4 main cast members (including himself) wearing toupees.
This is James Greek and hopefully you'll have some eps with Johnny Gilbert and John Harlan subbing
Johnny Gilbert said on Stu Shostak's show that he filled in on Sale.
Just saying this for anyone who may be questioning if that's true or not.
Yea hopefully Frank Rey will have some eps of him announcing
Not to sound rude, but who is Frank Rey?
WREYTube!
