Saw Charlie in Roanoke in 2013. He was sweet and friendly, mixed with the fans and signed things and took pics with them. The only one in that same setting that ever did that. They usually cut and run out the back door. I just saw him again and he has not changed, still the sweet, talented, gorgeous young man he was then. Sure do hope you get more notice in the future, Charlie. You are so special when it comes to country music. Hope to see you again someday. Good luck and God bless as you tour with Brandy.
Charlie has to be one of my favourite 'less' recognised artists. I have Bones TV Show to thank for that, for playing "Young To See" on one of the episodes. Charlie, if you read this, keep up your amazing music, and one day in the near future, you will be no longer be less recognised, but an artist everyone talks about, and you'll deserve everything good coming to you.
Still kills me every time I turn on the radio, and jams like this are looked over while so much other crap is just played on repeat. Keep making killer jams Charlie. Someday country radio will get their heads out their own asses.

It’s so fucking unfair to see this guy struggling to stay relevant in country music while these shit ass pop country stars are raking in millions of dollars every year. crack means the sound that happens when you open a drink (which is a pop... but another way of seeing it is that a beer could be seen to 'pop' open)... the hiss is the sound that escapes when you do this... Doesn't that make you want to go open a cool drink to celebrate something?
Hel-LO! It's "the crackle & pop, &the hiss." That's why people used to complain about vinyl. Now we know it's part of the charm. This song is a hymn to making a record as a metaphor for life.
