A beautiful heartfelt reaction Michael. I just have to wonder what else Ren has in store for us, I do not think that I will ever stop being surprised and excited by this fantastic artist, he is just an exceptional talent. As a 70+ year old I have listened to and followed all of the greats of the past and put Ren up there with the very best.
100%, I only said at a family get together on Good Friday (as I had The Big Push playing in the background) when a few family members asked who was playing, that mark my words, in 20 years time Ren will be known & up there with all the legends of our times ❤
I said in an early reaction comment that i didn't think Ren could play guitar in the ethereal emotional way of my favourite guitarist, David Gilmour. He certainly achieved all that on the piano in this gorgeous piece of art. Yo and thank you for this reaction.
Again tears with this song… music can make us feel things… Ren’s music is the direct transference of feelings from one human heart to another… thank you… yo are amazing …❤
I’ve watched this so many times now, of course I cried the first 20 times, and I’ve kept my composure for many times since…. until I just watched this with you… 0 composure 😢 I respect you a lot Mike, musically and humanly (if that’s a word) Thank you for this Take care brother 🙏 Daz
It sounded like he was telling us all about Callum's life. Kind of sad and messed up when he was young, then he had a manic faze and then he spiraled to the end. That's how I felt listening to it. YOu're the best Mike.
Love your take on it, Mike ❤Sounds beautiful on guitar. Reactor, Dicodec decided to improvise a guitar part on top of Ren's piano playing, and didn't say a word. It was touching.
Yo. I didn't know that chord signified hope but you're right; it does. It sounds so dope on guitar too. You're always bringing out so much understanding of the music.
It was absolutely transcendent. I like how you put it- the process of processing emotions. Grief in music form. Haunting. Told my family to play it at my funeral. Great reaction as always ❤
Love that you read the background story for this one! Ren asked us all to think of our departed loved ones during the premiere. Ren is so good at helping us release our emotions and letting feelings rise to the surface! There is so much beauty in this piece! I loved it! Yo Mike ❤ thanks for reacting ❤
This instrumental makes me feel as if I was a leaf drifting down the river of life. For me, it sounds as if it goes from serene to whimsical to rapids to serene again, mimicking life and all it's struggles. And the final serenity is death. As for the location Ren's at, it's the Hoodoos near Drumheller Valley, Alberta Canada. You should google it. It's a very beautiful place as seen in the video. Great reaction yet again. Peace and love.
This piece is so full of floods of emotion ,you can almost hear his voice trying to tell us who the man was and the frustrating emotion that comes from his knowing we will never have the chance to meet him.
Yo! I saw some images from this session last year, during the summer. I imagine Ren came up with this one quickly, recorded it as soon as his crew was in Calgary (someone said June), but sat on it, knowing he wanted to release it on or near Callum's birthday. And, yeah, it's a beautiful piece!
I needed that... Beautiful melody, a composition that anchors the spirit to calmness and propels the gaze towards the future horizon!... Thanks Ren. Thank you for the reaction.
Yo ❤ beautiful reaction Mike x Isn’t this piece just sublime in all its emotional facets 🥹 I did not realise you were a fellow Aussie dweller, how wonderful 🇦🇺🥰
Yes indeed, Ren knows how to pull the heartstrings! Yo Michael I really enjoy hearing and seeing how other musicians respond to and can break down what they hear when listening to a new piece of music for the first time!
Michael, the first time I heard this song Freaked me out because it was so much not like ren and yet it was exactly like ren. There's absolutely nothing this guy can't play if he really puts his mind to it
Thank you for your raw emotions! It affected me the same way. It's such a beautiful tribute. I really appreciate your guitar interpretation. You did a beautiful job. ❤ R.I.P. Joe and Callum. Thank you Ren for honoring their lives with such love.
Yo, thank you for your reaction to this... always nice to hear the interpretation from your musician eyes and ears. I heard a couple of other musician reactors also comment that he ended this on a "hopeful" note ❤ that is a beautiful thought!
Yo I have seen a lot of corrections to McEye so assume Ren must have said it during the pre-premier livestream. I hear a flow starting in their their childhood, the scene of & aftermath of Callum and Lewis deaths, then finally the state of acceptance Ren finally reached that allowed him to make the piece.
This looks loke Drumheller in Alberta, where people go to look for, and dig up, dinosaur bones and fossils. I can just imagine hiking in the canyon, and hearing this bouncing off the walls....beautiful. Yo.... gotta say... today, the beard is on point.
Lol, you made the wrong decision. Mackay is originally the name of a powerful Scottish Clan which was based in the far north of Scotland. Clan Mackay were followers of Robert the Bruce and fought against the English at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. The pronunciation is like MAK-👀 with only one eye, so Mack-i. I hope you enjoyed the wee history lesson 😉🤣🤣.
I recommend making a reaction to one of the best vocalists in the world. Meet Diana Ankudinova! Diana has the title - Queen of Goosebumps. Challenge yourself, can you resist the charm of her voice? One of the last comments about Diana's voice: Pffff.... her voice is really very special, unclassifiable, atypical, out of the ordinary... 💖 1) super unique voice (dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones); 2) the most complex vocal techniques, a bewitching voice; 3) Diana sings in 6 languages : English, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Arabic and any musical genre; 4) incredible charisma, artistry and living of any song; 5) a vocal range of 4 octaves; 6) a large army of fans around the world; 7) an independent artist, without producers and labels, only with the support of fans and reactors like you; 8) more than 20 thousand reactions (all collected in my playlists). The incredible fate of a girl found with a broken collarbone at a bus stop and ended up in an orphanage.

Mike, Ren worked on this one for a while. Some have said that he played it in the Money Game 3 BTS extended version near the end. I haven’t been back to view it yet, but it makes perfect sense. Ren is self-taught and has been playing piano since his school days. He used to spend lunch hour in the library, playing piano. You should know the setting. It’s near Drumheller, Alberta. Would you call Ren a musician’s musician?
This is just outside of Drumheller, in the badlands northeast of Calgary. A great backdrop for a beautiful tribute to his friend.
Indeed

Emotive and visceral, I haven't seen an artist that transcends and communicates so widely as Ren in a a long time.
I didn't expect to be brought to tears either... Ren knows how to reach in and touch the soul. By bravely profoundly and so beautifully baring his.
I said in an early reaction comment that i didn't think Ren could play guitar in the ethereal emotional way of my favourite guitarist, David Gilmour. He certainly achieved all that on the piano in this gorgeous piece of art. Yo and thank you for this reaction.
💯 💯 💯 🪀
He's not Gilmour on guitar or Brubeck on piano but he doesn't have to be. He's his own thing.
@@mikemedrano8579 I agree.
@mikemedrano8579 I absolutely agree. He does so many creative things at top level. And that voice 🥰
No. It’s in Calgary Canada at an old fossil site.he filmed this in 2023 and wanted to release it this year on Callums birthday

Ren is the greatest !! I love him!! He is an exceptionally talented young man .

100% 😂
Mike if you checkout Disco Doc's review of this song. he explains what happened the day Callum passed.
It sounded like he was telling us all about Callum's life. Kind of sad and messed up when he was young, then he had a manic faze and then he spiraled to the end. That's how I felt listening to it. YOu're the best Mike.
That’s valid!! ✌️ 🪀
Yo Mike. Great analysis as always and I appreciate the love and respect that you are giving to Ren and his music. Much love from Wales UK.
Love it when you pull out the guitar and let the guitar "react"
🙏 ❤️
Love your take on it, Mike ❤Sounds beautiful on guitar. Reactor, Dicodec decided to improvise a guitar part on top of Ren's piano playing, and didn't say a word. It was touching.
Ren as always... so moving... so expressive.. such skill and authenticity 💕💔🥲
Loved your musical analysis on this, cheers! 🪀 💕
You nailed it.

Yo. I didn't know that chord signified hope but you're right; it does. It sounds so dope on guitar too. You're always bringing out so much understanding of the music.

I’ve been peeking at Facebook lately…it’s a totally different vibe than TH-cam. That’s where I got the information. It was so well done. ❤️

💯 ❤️
I would love to see you play that on guitar. The few chords you played there sounded lush 😊
Yo! I saw some images from this session last year, during the summer. I imagine Ren came up with this one quickly, recorded it as soon as his crew was in Calgary (someone said June), but sat on it, knowing he wanted to release it on or near Callum's birthday. And, yeah, it's a beautiful piece!
That’s consistent with what I’ve heard. 🪀
Michael this is a beautiful piece and you're so right with guitar would sound just as emotional. Yo! Keep on the great reactions! R.I.P Callum ❤🙏
Yo Michael! Yer right, it makes a beautiful song for guitar ! Love your reactions! I would relish a guitar cover of this by you!!
Yo! Great reaction, Michael! Ren is amazing ♥♥♥
Callum's story is on Disco Doc's channel with BBC news footage if your interested 💛
Yes, this would be fitting as a soundtrack also. .
You are always so good and gentle with emotions amd with Ren. Thank you for yet another wonderful Reaction.
Thank you 🙏. Hope you’re doing well.
On first hearing, if someone had told me that Einaudi had released a new piece, I'd have believed them
I needed that... Beautiful melody, a composition that anchors the spirit to calmness and propels the gaze towards the future horizon!...
Thanks Ren.
Thank you for the reaction.
🙏
feel parts of depeche mode "precious" on the instrument
Much love ❤️ Sue
Received and returned! ❤️
Thank you, Brother! 🙏 ❤
Great reaction & analysis video bud. This guy is a genius. Thanks mate. Still astonishing to me how you can hear something, then play it on guitar.
Thanks…I’m actually a very visual person so the combo of hearing the music and seeing his hands makes it easier for me to learn it quickly…. 🍻
Soundtrack for sure
Stunning

This was filmed back in June and saved for Callum's birthday. Filmed about an hour from Calgary

Yo Mike, you were quick to transfer this to guitar, very impressive. Certainly more piano friendly, maybe it could be played as a duo on guitar…
2 guitars could definitely do it but 1 would be more impressive. :)
hello dear!! we all know ren's vast range in talent, but to do it this way and evoke such emotions!!! kathleen bts renegade
Yes, another musician reactor pointed out that this piece ends with a chord signifying hope. Yo, if you catch my drift.
Hey that’s proof I ain’t lying!! 😆 🪀
The theme reminded me of the Downton Abby intro music
I’ve heard that before but can’t place it….we don’t have that show here.
Beautiful scenery and music 👏👏👏
I wish you could look on guitarist Marcin Patrzalek 🎸
I have. ❤️

In one of his facebook posts he said it poured out of him in one sitting…..I think.
I think he’s a people’s musician….and musicians are ppl. ❤️
You got me there. I thought I’d said musician’s musician, but perhaps that’s an exaggeration. In any event, he’s amazing!
You should record a play over the top of it.
A part of me wants to do that and a part of me thinks it’s sacrilegious. ❤️
I’ll try a solo version though.
Not that it needs anything added but i think the only Man for laying some guitar over the top is of course Romain 🎸🎵🎶🍯🤌🙏🐝🍀
