    I'll be Dang. After the update, it passed the throttle sensor test! I probably should have tested it after the firmware update. I truly didn't think it would make a difference.

    I’ve had a 592XP for approx 2 months. I have had a few concerning issues, that I am still waiting on a resolution from Husqvarna. My 1st muffler, the captive thread in the centre of the muffler foyer the guard fell out leaving a massive hole. It was replaced under warranty. My 2nd muffler has now failed with the weld around the bottom mount cracking. The bottom mount on the outside felling dawg snap at the curve/corner of mount. I’ve also had rubbing between the front 4 fins of the cylinder head and plastic cover. For a ‘commercial’ grade saw these are concerning faults and costing me big time in down time.

    I misspoke when talking about the bar spacer. This spacer will only allow a Stihl bar on a Husqvarna because the slot is larger on the Stihl bars. I believe the spacer will allow the Stihl bar on the Dolmars as well. And, I also said Auto Tune when meaning to refer to MTronic. It's a Monday Lol!

      It will also work for Stihl light bar to Echo 7310.

    I literally just found out 2 days ago that you pull out the Killswitch and flick it up, I'm guessing that's the way you choke it but it's not been mentioned in any video nor was told to me on purchase, I haven't tried it tho as I already finished with it and gave it a clean when I noticed
    I will try this next time!

    ok, been professionally falling with huskys since the 394 came out. these autotunes just are not holding up any idea why? my 572 did one camp shift 97 hours and full shortblock done on warranty. now 177 hours 800 starts and needs another short block. no damage to top end. always run 91 and 50-1 husky oil. 390's and 372's i get a solid year at least on. now the 592 which i love is already being rebuilt at 55 hours. shop says to see a 572 with over 100 hours is impressive...only thought is they burn so little fuel the bottom end is not getting the oil it needs. will 40:1 help solve this or what is your experience cause i just hit rock bottom here and bought a 500i...thanks for any insight. as far as the muffler i have opened it up since new on the inside and have had no issues. p.s. burn't up 3 562's till i gave up on them too but that was poor filter issues with doug fir taking out the bottom ends

      Damn I hate to hear that. The newer saws seem to be a little more high strung and thrifty with the fuel (lubrication) to make emissions. Have a look at a video I made a month or so ago. "2 stroke bike oil in a chainsaw"
      Try some Honda HP2 or Belray HR1 pre-mix (for mixing yourself not oil injection). I'm done with the manufacturers oil. They just don't have the viscosity when diluted to keep the bottom end well lubricated. I've tested them all and they are just ok at 50 or 40:1. The bike oils are in a whole different league.

    Just got a 592 its a 2022 model and I don't think it was started at the dealership or plugged in, seems to work fine was just wondering wether it'd be advantageous to take it to a dealer to be updated or wether that's only something that I should do if there's a problem. Shame they don't allow at home Internet hookup for that kinda stuff for owners

    Hey Richard. Have you seen any 592s that have a rich spot just off idle when hot. After cutting with mine and it gets hot, if it idles for any length of time, when I try to feather throttle it stumbles then revs. Very annoying. Much like the 562xps did.

    I’m going to have to get my 592 on a Cst, it has the slight burble off idle when cold and sometimes takes an excessive amount of pulls to fire. My 572 has never had any such issues! Other than that I love my 592. It’s far and away nicer to run than a 394/395 or a 390. Had great power out of the box and is smooth as silk.
    Nice video by the way

      In the mean time, Try cold starting it with the choke fully engaged til' it's running. Instead of hearing it "pop" and moving the choke lever down to the run position for science and stuff.

      That’s how I always start it. Can a guy push the purge bulb too many times or not enough?

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@mikegott3364 Think of it as an endless loop. A purge bulb, as it is officially called, pulls fuel through the carb and discharges it back to the tank every time you push the bulb. If the carb is functioning correctly, you can push the "primer" bulb a thousand times and never flood the saw. Conversely the old bulb on a lawn mower actually squirts fuel into the engine and pushing it too many times will flood it..

    Hello Richard I have been following your great video's very helpful
    I have a Husqvarna 592XP picked up new in August 2022 And have had problems Starting it From Day 1
    When it is cold not started in a day or more it takes around 10 pulls before it will start
    when its warm and running a couple of hours and i turn it off then try to start it
    10 minutes later it won't start even with the decompression valve Engaged its difficult to
    pull the recoil to start it theres a lot of compression i talked to the dealer about a Firmware update
    he said that it takes about an hour and Costs a $100.00 is that correct?
    i would think that if it needs computer updates from Husqvarna it would be no cost
    if my car needs computer updates there is no charge
    Is my dealer trying to take advantage of me?
    I use the saw for Cutting down trees And Bucking firewood
    It seems to run well once its started no problems
    I use a 24" Husqvarna Light Bar with C83 Chain
    I can't seem to find a Husqvarna customer service phone number
    Can you advise me? My dealer is not helpful at all and at $1500.00 Purchase price this saw was expensive
    I have older Husqvarna saws Model 262 and 246 models and never had any problems with them i could not fix

      I believe you need a new fuel line and a new dealer. Lol. The fuel line near the carb may be pinched a little. As for an update it takes a few minutes and shouldn't be more than a minimum labor charge (1/2 hr) if they didn't know you. You shouldn't need an update, but it doesn't hurt. have a good look at the fuel line and keep me posted. If I can help going forward, just let me know.

    I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on a 592 due to the electronics and not having access to Husqvarna Service Hub (and paying for the diagnostic tool(s)). I am able to perform full service on all my chainsaws (I'm a Husqvarna and Echo guy). If that was my 390/372/661/7900/590/etc. and it wasn't running properly, I would have fixed it myself. The owner of that saw had to bring it in and it appears there was nothing wrong with it, only requiring a firmware update. Just think if we all had to bring in our laptops for every software update. My local Husqvarna dealers bench time is $80/hr, minimum 3 week wait, and 45 minutes away (each way). What is your opinion on the hobbyist/home owner being able to service the new 592 and other electronically controlled saws?

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Welp, The diagnostic tool (Common Service Tool) is a dealer only item. I work at a servicing dealer. You have to use your dealer login every time you use it. That being said, the 585 is right up your alley. It has a traditional carburetor with adjustment screws. There is a service port that will give some run time info, but does not control anything.

    • @w6qd
      @w6qd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@richardflagg3084 Thanks for the update and the heads-up on the 585, that's pretty cool they still have the old school system. That being said, I see the advantages with the newer saws that are electronically controlled. Look at the automobile fuel injection systems, I would never go back to the carbureted engine. I'm subscribed, keep the content rolling.

    It appears I have the dud in the world’s 592XP fleet. In addition to mufflers failing, I took my 592XP to my dealer earlier in the week. They ran the diagnostic tool, had the same ‘failed test’ come up for the throttle. Firmware update completed. Now I have a Husqvarna 592XP’PW’…. Paper Weight. Will not even fire enough to reset the decompression valve. Spark plug as dry as can be. So I have yet another 1hr + trip back to the dealer.

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Damn I hate to hear that. Hopefully they can get you squared away on the spot. I've only had 4 on the bench just to see how they were doing and no real issues so far. I assume you've been starting it (and leaving it on full choke) til it gets going for 5 seconds or so?

    • @JaseC80
      @JaseC80 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@richardflagg3084 I have always started and allowed to warm up before disengaging choke. They are trying to say the other issues are from vibration and running a smaller bar. I’m in Australia where the wood predominantly cut is Iron Bark. Very hard wood and you won’t find many full time wood cutters using anything longer than a 20” bar. It’s becoming very disheartening. The new 592XP has literally cost me more than twice it’s value in lost income dealing with failures which shouldn’t occur in a commercial grade saw.

      @JaseC80 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@robertclifford1099 the issue of it not starting was a fault downloading the software. That’s been sorted and got back cutting.
      I am currently on my third muffler (first 2 cracked along welds). It has been on the diagnostic computer several times and nothing adverse is showing up, which would indicate over revving etc. With the end of our winter I haven’t used as much lately.
      I have also heard, Husqvarna are slightly changing the top cover design to address the clearance between cover and cylinder along with a few minor design changes to resolve issues.
      Even with the issues, I’m still a big fan of Husqvarna. The saw does work hard and I’ve seen others run without problems.
