    is the pipeline compatible with UE5.1 and 5.2 ? I followed every step but when I export to unreal , nothing shows up in Unreal engine. Please help. And thank you so much for the tutorial.

    initially it doesn't seem to be working with Blender 3.3. Fixed it. Idk if I missed it but remote execution was not enabled in UE5 project settings.

    When duplicating objects(meshes) in Blender, it adds a .001, .002,.... after each object you duplicate. Unreal doesn't like object/mesh names that don't conform to their rules. You also can't have mesh names with spaces like, "Shelf right side". You need to rename them as "Shelf_right_side" or ShelfRightSide".

    I did not succeed after several tries, there are other addons in the same style?
    Note, instead of send I pushed and the computer seems to work too much for a single cylinder, it must be stuck somewhere.
    I tried with both versions of the pipeline, 2.0.2 and with a new project but nothing seems to work.

    This is awesome! Just one thing, even with normal PBR setups. it doesn't import the material. I mean the kind you get from like Poly Haven, so complete principled BSDF materials. Does anyone know why?

    I think the guide is outdated. Doesn't work even with basic model such as "Monkey" aka "Suzanne" and UE5.2 or it might be my firewall blocking the localhost connections between the apps.

    I have a problem that me and my brother have had hovering over our heads for sometime now.
    My brother and I have been wanting to start making our animation projects in unreal engine, but we have used Blender for character rigging. Now when my brother imports the character for animation but he can move the skeleton. Because he wants to do the animation with in blender itself.
    I.E. move the skeleton without creating a control rig or use imported animations from blender?
    animate it without the control rig? If not is there a way to make an instant control rig for the imported blender skeleton?
    TL:DR is there a quick way to get around this issue?

    May I ask a question if it is possible to export the same as in the video over the network? I would love to work with blender on one computer and have the unreal engine on my second pc but sending over the informations somehow probably need a network like adjustement maybe into the python section from unreal?

    I keep getting this error :
    fault 1 class configparser no option error no option r.skinchace.complieshaders in section '/script/engine.rendererSettings'

      @@RanjithKizhakkey Sadly no I just switched back to the old method of Export FBX from blender then Import in Unreal. The addon isn't as easy as shown in video and still has lots of problems with it.

      Additionally, make sure the "Support Compute Skin Cache" setting is turned on in Project Settings > Engine > Rendering > Optimizations. This ensures grooms to render properly when bound to a skeletal mesh.

    if anyone has an issue where clicking on the blendertools github link will get you page not found 404: you will get an e-mail from GitHub where you have to accept the connection between git and Unreal. After that everything works fine. Had the same problem.

    I've got to be missing something. I've done this three times (to make sure I wasn't missing a step) and the materials won't export. I have that white material that just screams 'failure' at me when I look at it. Little help?
    edit: native Blender materials work but Extreme PBR materials won't export. Is there something I can do to fix this?

      @@unrealmagic1 I think I tried it directly from your link in the description when I left the comment. I will try again tho. Exporting assets from blender to UE is a pain... its stramge that it showed that the page is not found given Ive seen other people recommend the pipeline.

      @@sayonaradesu1087 you have to connect on the epic games side and then also accept the invitation within 7 days on the github side by logging into your account, clicking it, and going to "your organizations"

    How do you set up the Texture to properly import into Engine? I have my material set up with texture paint and everytime I send to Unreal it doesn't transfer over and I'm just left with a blank material. It looks like the base color, Normals and AO were all brought over here.

      I'm pretty sure you either have to bake your materials in blender (th-cam.com/video/Qd3lUFUpiIw/w-d-xo.html might help) or you can just import in any missing maps manually and connect them to the white parameters. This is an issue whether you are importing with unreal plugin or manually through blender settings unfortunately.

    Question to anyone who knows: I am importing a char from DAZ3d to Blender first, then from there to Unreal. Will this prove to be problematic, or is it Ok. My main concern is the rig from DAZ, this seems to import to Blender as well? Any tips, etc., very welcome. New to this process.

    Great Video! A quick question you may know. I have created a portal in blender using wave modifier. I want to export the whole thing to unreal. When I do though, the wave modifier don't come with my design so nothing basically works. Is just a regular mesh.

      Thank you so much . Importing from blender to unreal is not that perfect to be honest . You may need to create your effect inside niagara in ue . Use your mesh with reproduction mesh to create your effect in unreal .

      Apply the wave modifier in Blender and try to import in UE again. I think it will work

      I'm using 5.0.2 as well . Just don't forget to enable plugins and that extra folder in blender to put your objects in there

      5.0.2 does not work for me either, I click export, but a folder is not created in UE and there is no my mesh

      Try enabling "Enable Remote excecution" in projects settings. Fixed it for me :)

      try upgrading to Blender 3.3 and get the send to ue5 version 2.1.5. then in project settings make sure remote execution (found after searching python) is enabled and try again, see if that works.

    Does this work if you have advanced material setup w/ lots of nodes and such or do you still have bake the materials down in blender? If this converted blender (node based) material into equivalent unreal materials then yeah this is sick... otherwise meh.

      tldr: sometimes. your question had me curious so i tried 3 exports. first, i did a low poly character with morph keys, rig, and external texture. after importing to ue5, the texture was not registered but the material, blender name and all, was uploaded and an empty parameter was plugged into base color. i did another file, a rock, with an internal texture map, roughness map, and normal map. when i exported the rock, all the texture maps imported and connected themselves; however, the roughness map connected to the metallic node and i had to move it down. similarly, i imported an oreo with a single external normal map; the normal map was not recognized like the character. so while this plugin helps a whole lot with scaling ambiguity, modifiers, baked animations after assistant rig plugins, and morphkeys, there will still be some clean-up on the unreal side, and the blend file will probably still have to be optimized for ue5. some things just did not convert, like displacement nodes and math nodes.

      @@samgoldwater glad i was able to help! right now this is the most painless route i personally know of from blender to ue because it takes away most of the trial-and-error. it's a bit annoying, though, that the export folder is in *every* blender file by default now, whether i want it for ue or not, but that's just a minor gripe.

    I'm happy that they upgraded the pipeline but when I try to use it I get an error code from blender. If anybody has experienced this please let me know. I'm hoping to fix it sometime soon

      Well if you unwrap it correctly yes. Just put it in export folder
