    Patrick, I've been trying to work out why I find your videos so enjoyable. I think I know now - your aim is always to engage the interest of your viewers. By the way you talk to us, it is clear how much you value your viewers - you treat us like friends. You have no 'airs 'n graces', you're a genuine fella with a zest for adventure. Your videos are very well presented and your manner is just right. Keep up the good work Patrick, you are an inspiration!

    Thank you for another excellent video Patrick. Love your adventurous spirit, combined with your thoughtful and informative narration. Been enjoying all of your posts from here in the United States. Hallo Pat.Super video.You show Shefield so well.My Daughter went to Shefield University for 3 years and I used to fly over your campsite at about 44000feet quite often.My flight comeing from Canada starting at Fort Worth Texas.we would just miss Nottingham and head past Marham RAF base in Norfolk much lower probably 30ish Thousand feet where I had lived for 3 years then we would climb above 36000ft over the North Sea heading for Holland and finally Germany.At times the midnightish views over Shefield and Marham were very clear the lighting showing lots of details.Well you remind me of England and my travels from around the world and my Daughter who lives in South Korea. BYE,Be Blessed mate.PS. No need to answer I understand your work load.

    It's kinda cosy in a tent when it's blowing like that. Nice view too. One tip: It's good for the poles to start folding them in the middle. When you start from one end, the shock cord gets quite tight towards the end.

    Hi Pat, really enjoy your videos, especially the wet, cold and windy camps. Nothing like being all dry and cosy in a good tent when its blowing a gale and pouring outside. I liked the Crux tent, very nice bit of kit.

    I liked this one. Good tent. I could have used such a tent back in April in the Big Bend. The gusts were up to 45 mph. I hope you can appreciate how this provides us viewers a new insight into your climate, life in Sheffield, your life and its norms. Cozying up in the shelter of those piled rocks reminds me that cozy is relative. The contrast between our worlds is food for the soul. For instance, here in the greater Houston area, rocks are not naturally occurring. One must travel at least 35 miles northwest, to find one on the ground. We do transport them here, though, but they can be expensive to ship. Six hundred miles from here, in west Texas, there is a lot of rock and the climate is very hot and dry. At night the very dry air cools rapidly when the sun sets, so, in a matter of minutes, we go from wearing layers to protect from the sun, to even more layers to stay warm at night. Your video and stills were great. It was so good to see heather again. Thanks Pat.

    • @patrickdickinson6492
      @patrickdickinson6492  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice to hear from you and I, am amazed when you say no rocks, we have so many round here especially up on the high ground, as if all the land has eroded away leaving just rocks. On the Derbyshire hills round here we bace alot of stone circles, pagon places of worship many thousands of years old built out of local rocks.
      Tent performed really well and felt very strong and secure, all the best Pat

    That was great Pat! Personally I like to see the living quarters inside the cosy atmosphere of the tent with you inside. That tent is a tardis on film. You look to have loads of room. Wish mine had the porch and rear storage. The shots of Sheffield and power stations were brill! I don;t mind the so called bad weather. Coping with a bit of adversity is part of what its all about. I like the challenge and sense of satisfaction it gives plus creating good memories.That breakfast looked the business btw. Keep em coming Pat, and from MY point of view please show more of the inside of your tents (for the cosy atmos). I would have stayed another day lol.

      Like I said would probably use my Hilleberg Soulo for a camp like that but wanted to try the tent, in winter when you have extra warm gear, and wet or snow covered gear you need that sort of room unless you like sleeping with a wet coat etc touching your sleeping bag. It is only 2 ib heavier that my Soulo, you want to see what my camera gear weighs, 8lb with trypod mics etc. At the end of the day its just for fun I,am not a serious camper, just a pleasant way to have Fun, thanks Pat

Some great shots over Sheffield and shame about the focus over breakfast. All the technology bits, we're bound to have glitches. You do a good job for sound recording in the wind! Hi Pat, I've been following your videos for the last few weeks since discovering them on TH-cam. Fantastic locations and very informative narratives each time. Makes me realise what I've been missing since moving to Malaysia 12 years ago. That UK scenery is just stunning and brings back memories of my trips to the North of England in my younger days. We have some stunning locations out here which I'd like to explore when family commitments permit. My youngest son watched your latest video and is keen to try a wildcamp on our next UK trip.
