    Hello Andrew !
    The vocabulary lesson of the words "quick, quickly and fast" is fantastic. The explanation is very clear and concise for one to understand easily. The common mistakes are meaningful. Indeed, it is a very good lesson. As always, I commend you as an excellent and experienced English teacher.
    Would mind making a video lesson about NOUN CLAUSE. Till now, I have not received a good explanation on that subject.
    I wish you the very best in all your endeavours and look forward to seeing you soon.
    Warm regards,
    Fazil

    I just got confused about something, He's running quickly and he is walking fast. What is the difference here?
    He writes fast OR He wites quickly.
    In the same way, which sentence is correct:
    The tiger is (quick or fast). Can we use them both?
    The tiger runs (quickly or fast). Can we use them both?

    Dear Teacher, I have a doubt... Would you briefly mind explaining to me or making a video about the difference between to be + past pasticiple and to have + pasticiple?? I watched on a film people saying : I wasn't finished... And I understood it how : I había terminado.. Please speak about this subject. Thanks and regards to you.. I enjoy your videos a lot.!! Guillermo

      3 years late but i guess “ finished” is used as adjective for example at spanish is possible to say “eh sido derrotado” look “ sido” is the pased Of “ser” and “derrotado” is in pased too

    This example: She is "fast asleep"- both are adjectives....? Two adjectives can be use together? Thank you Andrew.

    • @CrownAcademyEnglish
      @CrownAcademyEnglish  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi.
      "fast asleep" - "asleep" is an adjective. It means to be in a state of sleep.
      "fast" is in fact an adverb in this phrase. I didn't mention this in the video but in some cases, an adverb can modify an adjective. Here, "fast" is modifying "asleep". It means "completely asleep" or "in a deep sleep."
      Another example of an adverb that modifies an adjective is "very" - Example He is *very* tired.
      Best wishes
      Andrew

      Yes, that is correct. We could also say: "He is a quick eater."
      OR
      He is a fast eater.

    Hello and thank you for all
    But I think the Adverb can also describe ( adjetivo, Adverb or whole sentence )
    He is a kuickly amazing runner
    Kuickly, he is coming from the house.

    • @CrownAcademyEnglish
      @CrownAcademyEnglish  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, certain adverbs can also describe other adverbs or adjectives. That is correct. I explain adverbs in more detail in my video about parts of speech.
      But "he is a quickly amazing runner" is wrong. I think you mean "He is a quick and amazing runner." (quick is an adjective)
      Best wishes

    In this case "He is walking fast", but why don't use the form "he is walking quickly"? I don't understand this difference

    • @CrownAcademyEnglish

      The meaning is the same. You can choose if you want to use "fast" as an adverb or "quickly".

    No explaination clearly at all. My comprehension is that "quick,quickly" describes the motion itself and "fast" is cling to describe the Minton from the third person.
