      Brother do you have your prompts anywhere, the additional film add ons are getting amazing results

    The Kodak Porta 800 combined with Polaroid, film grain, and flash photography is producing exceptional results, almost frighteningly good. Thanks for the tip.

    I'm not using ChatGPT for prompts, but I'm using midjourney for around a year now. I mostly use the pictures for our DND campaign that we play online.
    My mind is still blown how good it becomes. Version 5 of midjourney can create really realistic photos, it's amazing. If you know however for what to look for, then you can quickly identify AI pictures. For example the face or the fingers. Sometimes even the light and body form doesn't add up, even though it looks natural for the eye

    Yes, this is threatening our professional way of life. I'm 20 months and 6 days away from retiring from a 35-year photo career and I'm just going to hit the road and shoot landscapes for pleasure. Have fun chasing the future, folks.

      It's probably going to change things drastically for sure. What type of photography have you been working with?

      @@thaticelandicguy Started out as an extreme sports shooter (rock and ice climbing), then photojournalism (newspapers, magazines, books), then emergency medicine work (documentary), and most recently complex compositing plus product and lifestyle photo/video. My best and most creative work is still ahead of me, but on my own terms. I'll just watch the AI revolution from the sidelines. Love your channel!

    Ai isn't my thing but it has its uses. The big thing is to drop the words, photo and photography because it isn't either it's graphic design. Leave the real photography to us photographers.

    The intelligent people know that this does not stop creativity whatsoever...that can only be true for someone who does not embrace their inner creativity and natural intelligence and internal love and light...yes...i mean it...people can still do what they love and utulize these tools to enhance their work flow...if u a photographer...the use of ai is to autoupload your photos....edit what you want adjust manually where you want the edit and how...using photoshop for example...and then the ai just promotes your stuff

    I dont know where to start, pay for courses or subscribe to MidJourney. We have to kearn about writing prompts, can the image be edited in the original text etc. Any advice

  • @Catsandcamera
    @Catsandcamera ปีที่แล้ว +2

    could be interesting if you did a side by side of a real photo and an AI image and try to guess which is the real one, yo'd have to get someone else to collect the images you' use but I think it would be fun

    Over the last I have also learned how to tell it's AI. It just has a "AI" look. I think as it gets better people will also get better at sniffing it out, kinda happens with exposure.

    It won't replace classic photos yet, but if it's edited or any art form of photography then it's over. I know photographers who make surreal photos like this and I think it's super threatening.

    Awesome tutorial! Your tips on being specific with the shot as far as camera, the range/distance, film, was inspiring and I'm adding it to my list of things to study. Thank you for sharing Samson Vowles' prompt for ChatGPT. I took his Udemy course on Midjourney and have watched a lot of his video content, and he's a master.
    Your Polaroid testing gives me a great solution when I really need the human-ness to be solid in the image. Great work! I subbed and liked.

    as always thank you for a fantastic video, my thoughts on A.I generated photography are its only still photography at the moment that is easy to get your hands on and create its when A.I can create full videos even recreate well known movies and its up to you to inject different ideas as to what the mix of the subject in the film will be or say mix Back to the future with the film Jaws. i can foresee a time when we look back and remember when it was all so human with creativity right up to that point right now when it all changed and we gave birth to A.I creativity.

    I think ppl are too overfocused on 1 career, not realizing AI is gonna take basically almost ALL careers. That doesnt mean the end of life tho, but the beginning of the next, its the next step in evolution. But yea, it's all good (as long as we dont go extinct), things change, and we're in for a BIG change.

    The example you use at 5:43 - Jedi with green lightsaber by Aleksi Briclot - is troubling. It already feels unethical that these AI's are trained on existing artists' bodies of work, mostly without their permission. But letting you explicitly specify the artist you want the AI to imitate is definitely a step too far, unless somehow you're going to pay them royalties.

    • @thaticelandicguy
      @thaticelandicguy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yea I totally get you, also chatgpt is just mining data from all over the place. But I don't think it's possible to fight this, it's here and it's only going to get bigger. Maybe we can implement some royality things for artist, but I do think that copyright will look vastly different in the future.

    How do I make Ai generated photos of actual people?

  • @lawell2006

    Are these actual people the ai has used? Or dreamed up by it?

    • @Atlas_21

      It doesn't dream up anything, it steals from real photos and stores it in its database.

    • @darrenflener

      This does not erase the need for creative people. We just need to learn a new language with prompts etc. We still havecto understnd light and depth of field, lenses. A non-creative person won't be able to do what we do.

    There was almost already everything fake on TH-cam, Instagram, and now watching more artificial created digital world - yes, no problem for those who CONSUMING unlimitly everything. :) Others will celebrate normal, human created contents without closely trained A.I. models. A.I. will rips greedy content creators apart, so just keep promoting it as the other 100 youtube creators. :D
