  • There is a common financial concept in all major religions of the world…
👉🏼 Zakat means giving a percentage of your annual earnings to the benefit of the community, to the unfortunate… and wealth is not hoarded in the hands of a lucky few but distributed for upliftment of society.
Muslims around the world contribute over USD 200 Bn annually towards Zakat.
👉🏼 Similarly, Christians have the concept of Tithe…
Where a tenth of your earnings should be set aside for the work of God…
For social welfare in the community.
It is believed that at least 5% of the church goers follow the concept religiously.
👉🏼 In Hinduism, we have the concept of Daan…
The Rigveda asks us to earn with hundreds of hands and donate with thousands…
Also the Bhagwad Gita emphasising on the four types of Dharma:
    - Satya or Truthfulness
    - Tapa or Hard Work
    - Pavitrata or Purity of Mind; and
    - Daan or Charity
Unfortunately, while financial experts speak about Personal Finance for wealth management…
I feel rules of charity are left out in modern education.
It helps one acknowledge that the wealth that is bestowed on them is not because of their work but because they’ve only been lucky enough to have been chosen to be an instrument for social welfare.
It helps keep egos in check… makes people more humble.
And I wish there could be more conversation around how means and modes of charity could help us lead more fulfilling lives which are beyond goals of accumulation of money.
Share it with someone who may need it.

Bro, Zakath is to help the poor Muslims, Zakath is considered a wastage of your income and we clean our income by giving the certain percentage to the people who are in need, and it’s mandatory. There are categories mentioned in The Islam and you must pay zakath to them only, Zakath will be mainly given to Muslims only as Islam doesn’t encourage to give wastage of your income to non Muslims and it’s considered to be a disrespect to them. beyond this if one wish to help muslims or non Muslims is called Sadaqa. There is no condition that you pay certain % or not. So please don’t follow whatsapp university and the lies generated in sangh factories.
