The JMS dev team has always been very passionate about Hayato and Kanna so there's nothing to worry about for 6th job updates. Even during the Kanna fiasco when KMS forced them to remove the spawn rate increase, JMS team came out to apologize genuinely unlike other servers who basically said "Yeah too bad the boss hates that so we removing it"
It looks amazing, but I still find it so odd that they went 6th job over expanding on 5th job, didn't they said that the v matrix would be amazing to just keep adding to it over time? I guess it wouldn't be a new age if they just added one new 5th job skill and that's it but they still look amazing

These are pretty much “ultimate skills” and seem reminiscent to DFOs full screen skills where they show the class character animation. Aside from these, it looks like there are additional upgrades that aren’t revealed. An example is NW. Maybe that new “dominion” skill makes shadow bats those giant throwing stars? Idk. It seems very similar to one of NLs 5th job skills.
What I've observed so far, these skills are mostly bind skills, but the bind isn't affected by the normal bind skill as in 05:35 where Papulatus is already stunned but it is still frozen after the 6th job skill,

Hi from kms player, they also announced in the showcase that they will reduce the exp amount needed for lvl up between 200-260 by half & 1+2 lvl up event up until 260 🎉
They SNAPPED with those cutscenes lol. I didn't see a cutscene for DS though, which kinda sucks since the DA one was one of my favs! Can't believe 6th job is actually here... Insane lol. Still remember when 4th job was announced hah
At first i thought it will be just a huge attack with animation for every jobs, feeling alike (as the 3rd awaken for dfo, people blamed for jobs being alike, at least the time when i afk), but it seems that the actual effects for different jobs are different, and also noticed there are also changes on the main bossing (or maybe also mobbing) skills, at least their appearances, I become so interested on how it actually will be and so looking forward to it!!!😆
Amazingly cool! Except the I/L. Kind of underwhelming when they could summon the El Nath spirit covered in lightning or a thundering blizzard dragon but we get a sigil and some ice shards.
Wait this also could be the reason you can't change jett to any class of your choice except explorers. They don't want people to abuse jett to pick the 6th job meta
Glad to see the 6th job being added but I always get conflicted when they partially change the exp curve. Yay, we can get past 250 easier now but the grind past 260 is still a slog. Feels like the "hurry up and wait" mentality.
Not to be a downer (the animations look great) but, given the recent history of KMS, the director and his comments and mass exodus to KMS Reboot, this feels like "Look at the shiny, shiny! look at the shiny, shiny!" to avoid having to do some necessary changes. i hope i'm wrong and they address some more QoL stuff and some remasters/changes soon but this feels like a painfully obvious distraction.
My top Favourites are: Dawn Warrior 3:13 Visuals look freaking amazing. You form a BLACK HOLE SWORD, slash at the speed of light, then some kind of explosion happens afterwards (I think the Universe exploded from the sheer fucking badassness of what you just did) Blaster 5:13 Literally *Obliterated* into mush. Adele 7:28 Gilgamesh from Fate anime series or Byakuyas Bankai from Bleach vibes. Always epic asf when you have all these swords you control flying at this 1 poor soul. Hero 0:36 Things crashing down from *waaaaaaaaaaaaaay* up in the sky is always epic asf. Dark Knight 0:55 Might be my top 1 with its iconic long-distance/build-up Javelin Toss you see in a lot of games and animes. Shadower 2:16 Not as flashy as the others but more Stylistic with that sick asf Black and White Ninja theme; Samurai Jack, G.I Joe. Kinesis 7:18 a giant 3-fucking-D PIRSM in my 2D game? Like Dawn Warrior's Ultimate, Kinesis just breaks physics and dimensions. That's like something from the 4th Dimension crashing down on us. That's like me dropping that 1-ton boulder on my neighbour's lawn on top of the Megaman in my Gameboy. If Dark Knight and Hero's Ultimates had that Explosion afterwards, as Blaster did, then they'd be my top 3. DK's still there though 👌

I got to 250 on my main and getting there + optimizing the V-matrix felt like it took forever and I still wasn't totally done. and now the floor to even start the new system is 260, it feels like too much and too little at the same time (if it really is just 1 new skill and buffs to 4th and 5th job skills).
As somebody who has quit due to lack of creativity and just felt like the company only cared about wanting as much time online as possible... This could draw me back in.

Absolutely incredible update!!! Huge fan of the new animations and 6th job was game changing. New damage cap as well as exp reductions are very welcomed QoL changes. However, Reboot nerf removing exp and hp mulitpliers on mobs feels very unfair. I'm sure other maple content creators will feel differently, but I think it is a generally negative change to the progression on reboot. We still suffer from level penalty final damage reduction, so now we're matching reg server rates without the benefit of being able to kill higher level mobs.
If they left in the normal reboot exp bonus and this 50% on top wouldn't that just make reboot out lvl everything super quickly? At 200 + reboot lvling is faster than reg servers even with frenzy and junk. Reboot just is way better for higher lvl lvling atm. I played on reboot and as a reg player I noticed how much easier it was to lvl in reboot with fresh account.
Oh my god 6th Job! Can we all just appreciate all the great animations and the skill differences every characters are getting. Lv260 for new HyperBurn seems so nice now on top of rhe 50% exp reduction. As a Demon (DemonAvenger) main I really love the showcase they showed with the updated skill effects and finally 3 Nethershields rather than 2.
Idk I'm not a fan of these large moves, as nicely animated as these are I don't enjoy pressing a button and having to watch same one anime scene for 8 seconds
Glad that the game isn't dying after the end of the black mage. For years he was the ultimate threat to the game and when they added 5th job, it was seeming like the game was entering its end of storyline. But now with the new bosses and area, the game can potentially go further in story which means it could get higher in lvls and progression
i worry that rushing people to level 260 isn't gonna mean much if you are still super gear gated once you hit level 180~ specially on fresh accounts which will be a big influx of new players/returning players

7 years later..... Introducing 7th job! Now with the level cap of 500 7th job starts at 400. Damage cap has been increase to 10 quintillion. In addition super duper hard frfr boss mode has been added!! All in the update new era!!
These animations are so good. Bucc looks good I might get my mule to 260. Excited for these new changes except for the reboot changes. According to Steve, mob exp and hp in reboot will be the same as regular servers. Pros and cons to this I guess.
Not gonna lie, its exactly what MapleStory did not need. Anything else they announced? I was really looking forward to another Big Bang, like a Big Bang 2.0. Just having even MORE skills to occupy the keyboard is anything but revolutionary for a "new age".
Ok these are really insane. I play KMS, and this is coming soon. My top picks: 1) Zero (Just epic all round) 2) Mercedes (Cutesy, simple) 3) Hero, Soul Master (Flashy) 🎉
Man...really wished it wasn't 6th job. It just feels rushed. Great that we have another flashy skill but is that really worthy of a full job update? Are we gonna end up using the same 4th job base skills all the way up to 7,8,9,10 job? Still really hyped for the update but it's hardly the "new age"
The reason being like that to is allow branching customizations of the 5th job power scale And it's basically in representation of the lore of your character exploring the new energy that empowers your char that is necessary for the battle with the Black Mage, since unlike 3rd and 4th job where you are being taught a completed version of the class by a Master Instructor who learnt these arts 5th is where your character had to learn new strength on their own It's meant to be designed as a final job. Since let's be honest, Maple, SEA GLOBAL were like dying during that point, it was basically the fragile thin ice that was either make or break with 5th job Sea is life support Global is wheelchair bound Korea decent but overtime the base is real unhappy with Nexon nonsense... To me 6th job while cool and gives its identity and feeling of how back then reaching new job advancement is exciting It felt like desperation, while not in response to its current state of ppl being unhappy with the state of Maple power progression towards anything of end game. It was more in response to during its 5th job era where things got shaky esp after the 3rd Class unique 5th job skill..
Most good looking so far -: 1. All explorer warrior 2. Bishop 3. Marksman 4. Cannoneer 5. Aran 6. Mercedes 7. luminous 8. Xenon 9. Zero 10. All Nova 11. All KOC except NW 12. Dawn Warrior (most cool in my opinion)

Straight up thought 6th job was a meme LOL. Dark Night skill looks like something straight from Fate/Stay with Lancer.

That and no 2x cash cards, frenzy, fire starter etc will give reboot a disadvantage

i worry that rushing people to level 260 isn't gonna mean much if you are still super gear gated once you hit level 180~ specially on fresh accounts which will be a big influx of new players/returning players

7 years later..... Introducing 7th job! Now with the level cap of 500 7th job starts at 400. Damage cap has been increase to 10 quintillion. In addition super duper hard frfr boss mode has been added!! All in the update new era!!

I/L was so lackluster..... Could've made it an epic lighting skill but we just get a slightly stronger version of ice age 😢
These animations are so good. Bucc looks good I might get my mule to 260. Excited for these new changes except for the reboot changes. According to Steve, mob exp and hp in reboot will be the same as regular servers. Pros and cons to this I guess.
Not gonna lie, its exactly what MapleStory did not need. Anything else they announced? I was really looking forward to another Big Bang, like a Big Bang 2.0. Just having even MORE skills to occupy the keyboard is anything but revolutionary for a "new age".
They announced 50% exp reduction to 260 and maplestory theme park
Also Reboot HP nerf could potentially make classes which require tons of funding to mob: mech and phantom more viable

Man...really wished it wasn't 6th job. It just feels rushed. Great that we have another flashy skill but is that really worthy of a full job update? Are we gonna end up using the same 4th job base skills all the way up to 7,8,9,10 job? Still really hyped for the update but it's hardly the "new age"

I think they should make 5th job like the other 4 jobs. With the same skill system. I really don't like 5th job lol
yeah the v matrix is dumb, having to grind so many nodes, my first 200 I was sad it was like that
The reason being like that to is allow branching customizations of the 5th job power scale
And it's basically in representation of the lore of your character exploring the new energy that empowers your char that is necessary for the battle with the Black Mage, since unlike 3rd and 4th job where you are being taught a completed version of the class by a Master Instructor who learnt these arts
5th is where your character had to learn new strength on their own
It's meant to be designed as a final job. Since let's be honest, Maple, SEA GLOBAL were like dying during that point, it was basically the fragile thin ice that was either make or break with 5th job

Korea decent but overtime the base is real unhappy with Nexon nonsense...
To me 6th job while cool and gives its identity and feeling of how back then reaching new job advancement is exciting
It felt like desperation, while not in response to its current state of ppl being unhappy with the state of Maple power progression towards anything of end game.
It was more in response to during its 5th job era where things got shaky esp after the 3rd Class unique 5th job skill..
Wonder if the burst meta gonna chance .....some of those things are your entire bind timing

@@snakepl1skin actually beside kinesis, there are several which suppose to be cool too but I feel too much of their theme ended up whole screen very dark or black, feeling weird.
