You will need a license to use it on UHF. You can read about licensing here 👍👍 : www.wexphotovideo.com/blog/pro-video/wireless-microphone-licensing--what-you-need-to-know/
Sennheiser was notably better in every situation. That said, when a camera is on a gimbal, smaller mic is better. I’ve filmed dance instruction video which required audio from the dancer, but all I had was RodeLink and Tascam DR10L. Neither of them were ideal, which is why I keep researching for different products. Anyway, I love that you actually walk around London to test the products. Been there twice. Lovely city.
You are comparing a fully digial UHF tranmission (EW-DP) with an analog FM UHF tranmission (ewG4). So ranges are compatible no matter of transmission power differences.
@@WexPhotoVideo yeah I know, I just don't like how today we use "content". Of course its a "me" thing, pretty irrelevant comment too, but yeah, content is very generic. Have a nice day.
Thanks for this comparison! My company's going to go with the Sennheiser and your review was a big help in deciding.
Glad I could help!
I don't think these are WiFi-based.They just run on the same frequency bands. Huge difference.
Do you need a license to use the Sennheiser on UHF frequency?

Thanks for watching! We couldn't possibly comment ;)
dense but informative review on wireless mics, Thanks Wex.
My pleasure!
very informative review, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Sadly the transmit power of the #Sennheiser ew-dp is super weak with only 10mW compared to 30mW with the previous model.
Thanks for letting us know! We'll check this out.

what's transmitter mw mean?
I use mics for video not for content.
Hey Daniele, sometimes people refer to video as content and visa versa - but we thought they were pretty great for both :D
