Great video! Thank you much. Im 70yo, and my 1983 f150 4.9l now has one cyl not doing well. I checked plugs, wires, and still number 2 is bad. No gasket blown, and i suspect a bad lifter, and or push rod.
@@lebza22 unfortunately I forgot I made this comment along time ago, it turns out my engine head was warped, had to junk the car a found a new used car, prayers to all of you too hopefully you're not in my situation
Could anyone provide any advice here. My 2015 Volvo XC has milky coolant and is Misfiring - losing combustion. However, I didn’t see any smoke, nor is it leaking. Also, I have had to add additional oil recently and the low oil last has come on. Any thoughts?
Hey! Shade tree mechanic here. I’d say a head gasket. Milky coolant means that oil is getting into coolant/water jackets and contaminating coolant. Your coolant will continue to get worse until it can no longer cool your engine. Or vice versa your oil will become so contaminated that it will not be able to properly lubricate the engine. I suggest you start looking at doing a head gasket job. Either yourself or a professional whatever you can afford.
***Please help*** I was hit by a 84 year old woman that ran a red light. She's lying & saying her light was green. I had a witness but unfortunately they said he was a "biased witness" so it's my word against hers. Now I only have liability so if she doesn't tell the truth or I can't get camera footage from the intersection then I'm not covered for damages😢. I can only assume she's scared she'll lose her license at her age or something but who knows 🤷. Anyways on to the part where I need your help.... So at first the car was driving okay/normal-ish. It had some cosmetic damage but overall I thought I was good. Fast forward about 3 days & I decided to run my air conditioner. At first it was fine. I came home for several hours & had to go back out to pick my child up from the bus stop & I noticed it was making a strange sound. I went ahead & took it by a shop close by & he told my my water pump belt was completely off. It was leaking radiator fluid too from the engine (not the radiator). He said it probably is cracked. He told me since it wasn't running hot or anything to go get the belt & he'd put it on so I went to Auto zone but on my way back to him it actually did start running hot. I immediately pulled over & sat for about an hour & a half letting it cool. Then I filled the radiator up & overflow tank. It started right up like normal but then it shut off . It wouldn't start back up unfortunately & it makes a semi high pitch sound when I try to crank it up. It won't start at all. I don't have any money to get a new engine or car so if it's possible can I put some stop leak in & drive it until I can't anymore & then scrap it? If I get my new water pump belt on & put stop leak in will it crank then? PLEASE HELP ME 🙏🏻. Thank you for reading this. ❤. I'm sorry it was so long. I just wanted to explain the whole picture . ❤
Well at least im pretty sure i dont have a cracked engine block. Only have overheating car, but all else is fine. Though not removing engine ti fully examine it
Damn pretty sure i have a cracked engine because I went thought the blown gasket symptoms amd I only have one of them. Whereas I have multiple of these cracked engine symptoms. RIP to my engine

At this point I’m praying it’s just the head gasket

My Xtrail is slowly losing coolant, still drives, engine light on, diagnosed with one misfire. Could it still be block? Thank you
Misfire is the spark plugs and the engine coil just had to replace those on a car. The coolant leak could be a head gasket or a crack

Stop leak will only make things worse. It could even clog the water pump
Very helpful and informative video
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for the feedback.

Glad to hear it. Hope you can figure out the root cause and remove the overheating issue soon.
I think my car has engine crack :(
Why do you think
Because all the oil leaked out at the bottom and then stalled while driving.

My Rexton is over heating the family isn't blowing hard
