    Fun fact: until very recently, we didn‘t have an official uppercase letter/version of the ß. The reason behind it is probably that there‘s no word that start with an ß. But since writing things in uppercase letters came into style, people were forced to use „SS“ as a replacement. Now we do have an uppercase version and it looks like this: ẞ. Comparison: ß ẞ

      wait what? iam 1988 and never saw a the uppercase ß... german gramatic is nuts!!! i remeber the whole debate with our teacher about "fussball" and "fußball" and "sharp-s" "double-s" and "sz"... stuff is confusing even for me as german :D

    That’s weird. I didn’t know that. I never went to school on Saturdays. If anything, we‘re talking about private schools or Universities. But a regular public school will go from Monday to Friday with the weekend off. Anyways: lovely video 🥰

      The book seems to be really old. Back in the 80s & 90s there was school on Saturday

    longest german word.... "Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz"... i had to use google to translate but its pretty much "beef labeling surveillance duties transfer law"

    Yes it’s a child book, but there are many false and semi correct information. Great video anyways

    how old are these books ? There is no school at saturdays anymore, that was a thing in the 70's and 80's maybe but not nowadays 😂

      in german u can also spell ü=ue, ä=ae, ö=oe ...german language has insane ammount of "rules" on how to spell&grammatic etc! there is also the letter "ß" which we call "sz"...
