@@jimmynorthmusic173 - That would be jawesome. First, I do not use it for commercial uses, I’m a student of sound design an TOP are my point of interrest, so I simply try to figure out how to achieve “their sound”. I have to say, that after long research, you are one of the best producers on youtube for recreating TOP stems I ever found. I’m simply curious how you achieved that sound and what effects and setrings standa behind their sound. Hope I described it right. So yes, I’m super interrested in all of your recreated stems - or even better ableton sessions w data. But I fully respect your author licence etc. So I’ll understand If you don’t want to share your work with some foreign guy on youtube.. :D
@@Semifoxxa Do you have discord cause I can show you some stuff on there. Im not the most experienced TOP guy in terms of knowing presets but ik quite a lot about their sound and how they achieve it
So I guess josh only really plays live? Because those are very computerized drums Kinda feels like he’s not actually on the studio album at all. Bit of a shame really.
No he does record the drums for the albums. He just spends a lot of time trying out different drums and recording techniques to get the right sound. For example on choker he covered the drums and mics with a blanket whilst recording so there would be no room reflections at all and would have a really dry sound. Songs like redecorate are mostly programmed drums but he is still involved wit that stuff as well.
in some songs he plays the drums (like mulberry street, shy away, jumpsuit, etc) on other songs he programs the drums (formidable, semi-automatic, etc) and on others it is a mix of both (lane boy, stressed out, heavydirtysoul, etc) he just really likes trying differents sounds in his songs
imagine they playing redecorate on official version with the natural drums of josh, ssshiit
Broooo, I need the Mulberry Street track pleaaseee
