They K-Pop labels operate on 7 year contracts. Blackpink debuted in 2016, so they recently renegotiated with their label, YG. Terms are never fully disclosed, but it appears that Blackpink is going to keep working with YG, but the individual members are free to pursue their own side projects. Lisa has her own company LLOUD, which is tied to RCA, and this is the first song released under that label.
