I have been watching your videos for about a decade now but never said thanks for basically teaching me the fundamentals of guitar. You helped me learn the chords necessary to start writing my own stuff and I've always found your tutorials patient and helpful.
Very many of us are in your debt, Georgiarose! Thanks for so many great tutorials for so many years...and for that warm smile and wit that regularly burst through. Brian
If Noel has sung it, this guy teaches it. I’m a couple of years in on learning guitar and I think I’d be way behind if it wasn’t for this guy. Oasis are my favourite band and he’s now my go to if I want to learn a tune. I owe you hours of enjoyment mate. Thanks so much ✊🏻😎✊🏻
IMO strum pattern can't be taught. UDUD stuff is pointless I feel. I've never 'learned' strum patterns myself. The strumming also varies throughout most songs as well, and varies from version to version. I think if you want to learn a song, you really just have to listen and play what sounds right to your own ear. That's all I have ever done.
I agree the strum is more of a feel/beat to me. I never agree to UUDDUD Crap. Listen and feel. You are a very good instructor. YOU AND MARTY ARE MY FAVORITES , some times Mahalano or munns are ok. I'm also an Oasis lover. Cool
time to say once again "many thanks Pete" been watching you for close to 15 years now ... your unique teaching ways and arrangments withstands the test of time. Solid! Btw ... this is a great tune for a 12 string.
Really great lesson. You gave it to us. Very easy to follow. Now we do our work. Thank You Ggrose, for teaching me quickly and assuming we know how to finger chords. My time spent with you is always productive.
Yeah - I really like The Smiths but have never actually tried to play any of their songs. Love How Soon Is Now although I'm not sure how that would go on an acoustic? lol
It's 1am, just started messing around with your tutorial, got most of it down, am I chuffed you posted this! Got tomorrow off work! Yipee, I am gonna spend all day bashing away at this singing my heart out. Happy days!
Hi, I really like all your lessons, thanks for post them ;) I have a question about this "strawberry field Gallagher style": I was watching the Gallagher video and I cant figure out in to know the BPM and if it is 4/4 or 4/3 or any other... Do you have any idea? Thanks a lot :)
Great job, congrats my friend, I´d like you to give you´re valuable opinion about this rock band called "the Rockets" they´re from Guadalajara México, and they´ve had succes around here, but I dont´n think they're really good. Thankyou And please keep on loading beatles videos.
A major chord consists of a root note, major 3rd note and a perfect 5th note. In the case of a C major chord, those note are the root C, the major 3rd E, and the perfect 5th G. The C chord the way Pete plays it goes GCEGCE, from the from the 6th-1st strings. It does not matter that in this case, the perfect 5th is played as the base note, the chord still consists of only the root, major 3rd and perfect 5th, therefore is a C major chord. Don't argue with me, because I am 100% correct. Look up the definition of a major chord if you disagree.
+vauxhall908 - I only use that form of the chord when playing an old timey country song or something like that with an alternating baseline. Otherwise I just use my 3rd finger on the A string to mute the low E string.
I don't see why people can't work out strumming patterns anyway? It normally pisses me off when I'm watching a tutorial on YT and they start saying "Down, down, down up down up, up down, down up down up"
A big thanks for making a very complex song easy. The chords are playing the 🎶 melody. So nice.

Absolutely class mate, a wee pull off and on - on the D7 top string,, adds a little flavour to the melody line . Thanks for this ✌️
I have learned so many songs from your toots. Thanks!
Of course. You can do it however you like. If you want to sing along, find a fret which best suits your voice.
It's 1am, just started messing around with your tutorial, got most of it down, am I chuffed you posted this! Got tomorrow off work! Yipee, I am gonna spend all day bashing away at this singing my heart out. Happy days!

THANK YA VERY MUCH!
strumming patterns most people are lazy and want things done for them, just listen to the song.
Thank you soo much
Thank you so much
cheers
Браво
Great lesson!! BUT as most advanced players seem to forget, the strum pattern is most often the biggest problem for a beginner... :-(
good video, but i have a problem , i don't know what is the rhythm, i can get it
I love your videos, man. Can I just berate you for that Adidas logo on the guitar????
It's a C/G chord when you add that bass G to the C
+vauxhall908 - That's getting pretty picky. It's still a C.
With a low 5th? the G on the E? No??? asking if your playing it?
A major chord consists of a root note, major 3rd note and a perfect 5th note. In the case of a C major chord, those note are the root C, the major 3rd E, and the perfect 5th G.

asking if your hitting it that's all
+vauxhall908 - I only use that form of the chord when playing an old timey country song or something like that with an alternating baseline. Otherwise I just use my 3rd finger on the A string to mute the low E string.
rhytm ??
Show.
smooch

man covering the strum pattern on a John song is crucial, good video strum pattern would make it excellent.
1 2& 3 4
Sorry man - I know a lot of people love Pink Floyd, but I'm not one of them. Cheers.
Are you 'just maybe' a Noel Gallagher fan 😆
good rhtym adidas. thx
they can only be helpful - if you don't like them turn them off!
G-Dm-E7-C???? WTF
Thanks!!!
Thanks a lot!
good video, but i have a problem , i don't know what is the rhythm, i can get it
