This song represents leaving ur childhood state and home behind and moving to a new home and feeling homesick til ur new home feels like home. Great song
I love this guy. He makes me dance, smile and, therefore, keeps me healthy. Always swinging everyday. Great band. ☺😎( I am not the youngest) Love to you all and keep dancing.
Is it stolen if the 'dude' is the listed composer in the album credits? 'cos I'm pretty sure Pena is listed in the album credits. If that is the case, Miller might have made the guy a few bucks. Chuck Berry once thanked Keith Richards for selling so many copies of his compositions.
I think the acoustics are pretty good for a live show, probably recorded on someone's cell phone - you can hear the vocals (including lyrics!, lots of harmonies), guitars, drums, etc. Odds are good that Steve and boys turned up the sound quality a little to play on the Grand Ole Opry stage.
How did he ever get the tag line "Stevie Guitar Miller"? He's never played one memorable lick, EVER! He doesn't even play lead in his own band, he just strums camp fire chords!
Actually, go to the stuff (like 5 or 6 albums) from before 1973 and he knocked a few out back then. And he sometimes stretches out in live shows. But he seems to play for the song, not to show off. And he has at time used a _lot_ of synths! And used some sidemen, too, I'll agree!
great concert footage, thanks for posting

A song stolen from a black dude he never mentions. His name is PAUL PENA. You find his original version on yt.
Stolen? It seems everything is stolen from a black person

Pena got his royalties from this song. Not exactly stolen. But...a shout out would have been nice.
terrible accoustics

Very guitar-centered music. Live these songs from the 70s.
he wouldn't have lasted this long if he wasn't any good, in the 70s he was on the radio all the time, the Joker is a great song
