Sound like what I went through with kitty and Ursula. Let's just say they would tag team and bully Gabi until she ran to me crying about self esteem issues. They where nice to me though. They both left and while Kitty moved to my friends island and seams nicer, ursula never learned her lesson.
I last played the game 1 whole year ago, and the past couple weeks I was trying to kick her out cause i wanted other villagers, that's when I found out the amiibo cards give you the option to replace any villager you choose. I basically went through the whole bully stage and complained everyday about her and nothing was happening, time travelled for about a week or month in game and she kept acting like we were best friends 😭 so I got some third party amiibos for like $40 instead of the Nintendo packs that contain like 6 random ones for $15 or something like that. I was skeptical for sure, but it was worth it to kick out one villager and have someone that seems more interesting 🤷🏾♂️
Rocket was my first villager to move into my New Leaf town. Back then I wasn't aware of personalities, so I absolutely adored Rocket (sisterly) for being so kind and giving me a medicine whenever wasps stung me 😭
What I wouldn't give for artist notes on the creation of every villager. But I love the "hate fake characters, but be nice to real people" PSA at the end, because yeah. I stick by that.
Funny thing about Raymond is I wasn't really wanting him. I was like that's an all right design. I'd prefer stitches though. And then Raymond was like the first villager to come visit my island
I like raymond, his design is just well thought out for the idea of business cat, but the fact that people charge so much just for nothing (or to look at him) when I can go on google images and look up photos of Raymond
I have a personal vendetta against Leopold in ACNH. He was the first campsite villager on my island, which, for those out of the loop, means he'll just be there forever unless you invite him to stay. (Was over a week before I figured that out) Whilst he was living on my island his smug personality really rubbed me up the wrong way, he kinda came across as a bit of a creep, so I was super glad when he finally left (after piling trash in his yard and fencing him in for several days) I thought that was the last of him *BUT THEN* he turns up in Happy Home Paradise! And do you know what came up in the thought bubble above his head? "I want a place where I can set up camp for a bit" ...screw this guy
He lives on my island currently and I was find with him until he started calling us besties. Babe...no. We're not. I tolerate you at most. Pompom is my bestie, don't you dare try to take her place.
aw I feel bad for people who get bad campsite villagers. I got Chadder; not the one I desperately wanted (that would be Zell), but he is freaking adorable and I wouldn't get rid of him if you pay me.
Leopold was my first campsite villager as well. He actually asked if he could leave three days after he moved in -- and I said "Don't go!" because I felt sorry for him (and because I needed 10 villagers to get K.K. Slider to visit). A few weeks later, he said he had a serious proposal for me, followed by him going "I LOVE YOUUUUUUUU!" It took me a moment to realize he was teaching me a new emotion -- I think it was "Encouragement." When I asked Katrina about him the other day, she didn't even offer a friendship spell because Leopold evidentially wants me to have his children.
I agree that there is quite a lot of "unlikable" villagers, but i disagree with you on raymond, it is not his fault that the world made such crazy deals for him, he is handsome and precious and he doesn't deserve to be on this list😔
That's how I feel too - sure maybe he's overrated, but the way people charged absurd amounts of in-game and/or IRL currency is on them, not Raymond's existence.
i loved raymond because in every game i play i love rare collecting. i love having a goal like that, to get the "best" of something. therefore, i love raymond for that also, he just looks cooler Raymond > merry at least he has no double chin 🗿
That’s more the fault of nintendo and the community. Nintendo should have taken care of that. Website owners should’ve taken care of that. The community should’ve been less of.. assholes. Sure selling a villager is fine. But scamming? It’s ridiculous. Nobody could control how people felt, but if you managed a game or website and people were scamming the shit out of players over s clump of pixels? Somebody could’ve taken down all the listings. The situation was entirely the fault of irresponsible, lazy adults and obnoxious children.
Honestly, I didn't like Bubbles at first, she really not cute, but she's grown on me a lot. She's probably my friendliest villager, and she's given me some cute furniture too.
I know Marcel isn't popular or anything, but he lived on my sister's island and I grew to love him. He was in my top 3 faves of her island crew, behind Tutu and Hippeax. I dont usually like hippo villagers either, but he just had this certain... charm.
I love my boy Barold... I'll admit I first took him as a joke on a NMT Island as "discount" Raymond, but he actually grew on me. I spent a while giving him the perfect house in my opinion thanks to the DLC, and it fits his personality better; wiabu gaming otaku. Now he fits in to the lore aspects of my island, and has a desperate crush on Ione. Also a video I saw on Barold made me appreciate him even more.
Barold grew on me, too! I blame Kay for that 😂 But I’ll never forget when a commenter mentioned how he looks like a stereotypical p*do… and his house didn’t help that allegation LMFAOOOOOOOO
I love Raymond. He was on my first island completely by random. He hasn't shown up on any of the other islands since. I'm a serial restarter. lol Bubbles I cannot stand. Ugh. Got stuck with her on my second island. She and Mira were always fighting and then Mira wanted to leave. I got stuck with Barold on my third island. Never again. I haven't run across most of the others that you mentioned but I will say that I run from certain species if I'm island hopping looking for someone to move in.
Hello I have been following your tweets for the past two days and I have come to the conclusion that you do not deserve to have Raymond on your island. He is my comfort character and seeing him in an environment not meant for him brings me anxiety. I expect a reply to this DM when you have him in boxes and are ready to relinquish him to someone who will treasure him as he deserves.

Bubbles is my meanie tooo!!! She was a default in New leaf, and I started out liking her quite a bit. But then she started saying some pretty rude things and making fun of others. When she FINALLY wanted to move out she was like “Psych, you’d miss me too much!” URRRRGGG I was legit so mad. Not to mention she was also the level of the puzzle league mini game I couldn’t beat.

Everyone seems to be creeped out towards at least one cute villager, and for me, that's Flurry. It's the combo of black beady eyes and human-colored skin that doesn't do it for me. Speaking of humans, that's the one thing I don't like in animal crossing. It's really off-putting to me when they intentionally make animals look like humans, so Alice and Pigleg are also my least favorites design wise. I don't really want to delete any villagers because each one is someone's favorite, but if I had to these are the ones I would pick. Also Marina if I feel like being petty.
I do have to say I'm a bit biased towards Violet. I had her in new leaf, and in my town of mostly young-acting characters, she was like the older diva aunt who you'd go to for advice
I disagree with Raymond and before anyone attacks me let me explain why. I had Raymond for the longest time and I didn't get him because he's was popular I didn't care about that. I got him because he fits my style with the glasses and the business suit he wars. However I won't lie I have gotten so much shame for having him and I need to express this. I really don't get the whole thing with Raymond. As someone who has had him last year, he's just like any other smug villager. Out of all the villagers that got a lot of love but at the same time a lot of hate was Raymond. Everywhere I see on Animal Crossing Sites its always "Raymond this and Raymond that" and it was everywhere. Now for me personally I got Raymond not because of the hype or fame, but because I like his style with the glasses and his business suit that fits my style. Unlike anyone else I treat him as a "friend" and not like some type of "crazy item" like some certain people try to do with him. Some people took the whole Raymond hype way too seriously. I seen him getting charged so many Nook Mile Tickets on sites like Nookazon and even worse is when I saw people trying to sell him on Ebay using real money (Which goes against Nintendo's Terms of Service) and yet people still do it, because they wanted him so badly. Even worse is when people had Raymond the people who hate him shame others, just because they have him. I mean who cares? Don't shame people just because they have a ugly or popular villager. I am pretty disappointed in the AC community for allowing this type of toxicity to last this long. I am glad that the hype is dying down "finally" but still I really wish next time when a new villager is announced or released in future we should treat them as "friends" and not like some type of "crazy value" Seriously I had to unfriend everyone who kept harrasssing me because I had Raymond. I REFUESE to let him go and get mistreated by others. Sorry for ranting but this was one of things that really turned me away from villager trading after I saw that video.

Sure design is great, but they way they act and the personality they have is a major role for me. I was hesitant with letting Ahnka on my island because in the other game, she was just..so rude :( but here, she’s absolutely amazing. She’s so sweet, she’s really changed 🥲 though, with some of the things she says…I know understand why she was the chosen one for ahh..THAT animation 💀 she likely doesn’t mean to sound pervy, but her mysterious lines can be very misunderstood.
At least the game didn't make you interact with them afterwards. In new leaf, my game wants me to talk to them. And I learned the hard way that playing a game of hide n seak with them counts as interaction, even if they aren't the host. And just like chops, he's running after me. I'm going to time travel back to the correct date (one day at the time in case a dreamie or a villager I'm close to asks to leave before him) and hopefully he asks to move then

Hello everyone! Uh I have a problem and I'm asking people who have animal Crossing about that, when I put July or August in my switch , in my world turns snowy and cold, but when I put December it's hot and there are mosquito like in summer, I don't understand
I suspect you have the incorrect region selected on your Switch itself and it thinks you are in the Southern Hemisphere. From the Home Screen on your Nintendo Switch, select System Settings. Scroll to the bottom and select System. Scroll down to Region and select the region in which you live. That should fix your issue, but you might have to restart your Switch, or at least close and reopen your Animal Crossing software.
Al was the first villager I found on a mystery island… I didn’t know how the inviting process worked so he unfortunately wound up as the first villager I willingly moved to my island

I genuinely despise Al because of how ugly he is, and I gag every time I see him on my island. I would've been fine with any other lazy villager, but the game decided that I should get the worst lazy villager. And to add insult to injury, I've been trying to get rid of him for the past seven months, and he just refuses to leave.
Are you comfortable with time traveling? Travel 15 days in the future and search for villagers with bubbles. Every 15 days a villager wants to move out/has a bubble over their head. Thats how I got rid of Graham.
The one villager for me who I cannot stand is Truffles. I got her on my island when I knew nothing about the game, and thought I was going to be able to get a bunch of villagers and create a cute little island (I guess I thought I’d be able to collect all the villagers like Pokémon.) Then I found out you can only have a set amount of villagers. Yeah, I wasn’t so happy about Truffles being on my island anymore. The longer she was on my island the more annoyed I became with her. I ended up having to force her off my island with an amiibo after months of having her on my island because she. Just. Wouldn’t. Leave. I can’t stand her anymore, I was alright with her when she first joined my island, and then despised her by the time she left.
Sounds almost like how I felt about dotty. I liked her at first and thought she was just going to be a temporary villager until I could get a dreamie of mine. Then I quickly became her "bestie" and even got her photo. Months went by and I wondered if she would ever ask to leave. Then, the curse spread. She would have a thought bubble that I would like to call the "fake" or "cursed" thought bubble because it would be her wanting me to fix something she caused. Even if I said no or yes on the same day, a villager (I wanted to keep ) would ask to leave and it wouldn't be her. It wouldn't fail. Every time that thought bubble would appear, someone else would also have one and want to leave. So I tried to get her friendship level lower and lower, even giving her trash on her birthday and cadging her inside her yard but she somehow found a way out. Others thought she was my recent villager and told me dotty couldn't leave if she was my recent one. And I started to believe them... Started to think that maybe I was wrong that it was Octavian and it was dotty that was recent. Then one day, she finally asked to leave. But the hunt for a peppy dreamie was tough. I ran into so many non peppy dreamies and had to say no to all of them while regretting that choice after seeing so many ok or terrible ones. I eventually found Audie though.
On one hand, I do agree that the whole Raymond hype did go out of hand. I mean, really? A black market?! On the other, I don’t think that villager really needs to be removed. It’s not the AI’s fault that people are overly obsessed. It is just an AI in a video game after all. And really, everyone has their opinions; you either like a villager or you don’t. This is supposed to be a peaceful game that everyone plays differently, so I say we let whoever likes the so called “ugly” villagers just enjoy what they enjoy. For example, I’ve actually seen quite a few Barold fans out there and I’m sure they would be disappointed if he was removed just because he has haters.
I actually got Raymond on my island pretty recently, I started playing acnh 28 days ago and got him from the campsite, me and my brother quite like him, to be honest Raymond is actually pretty cool. So I kinda agree? I don't think he should be removed I just think the scammers should. Edit: I also never got a villager I hate so far and I hope I keep it that way lmao
I'm sorry but I respect not liking certain villagers or finding them ugly but wanting them erased feels disrespectful to fans of them, even when they aren't popular or well-liked ones. Imagine you're excited for the next AC game, and you look forward to enjoying all the new content with your favorite villager only to find out they didn't make it. I know there are a lot of villagers, but people tend to get emotionally attached to ones that have become favorites, especially since AC has been an emotional support game for many (most notably during the pandemic.) It's bad enough people have tried to get my favorite villager who kept me happy throughout the lockdowns removed using petitions and hate groups, but seeing a video dedicated to this makes me more upset. I'm sorry, but I'm unsubscribing now.

EDIT: I remembered randomly finding Raymond on a NMT island (I was looking for someone else) and I just took him. I don't know why people made a fuss over him, because I barely play on that Animal Crossing New Horizons island he's on (then again, I have four Nintendo Switches, each with Animal Crossing).

I hate Rodeo. Not because of his design (well a little bit the red eyes scared me) but because when I was a little girl playing New Leaf, I did not understand the villagers had programmed in personalities. My favourite villager was (and still is) Walker, a lazy villager, so when Rodeo moved in (and was also a lazy villager) and started acting exactly like Walker and saying the same things, I got upset thinking Rodeo was mocking Walker. A little part of my little brain also knew that Walker was just a computer program who wasn't unique, but I was really young at the time and really attached to Walker so it made me really upset. So I hated Rodeo with a passion; not to mention his design was just really creepy to me.

I was disappointed when the Sanrio cards came out only to find my favorite character, Hello Kitty, was attached to a gorilla villager lol...the gorillas are one of my least favorite type 😂
I had Bubbles and Elise on my island before. Bubbles was my initial Peppy villager from the 3-housing plots quest with the beautiful interior for ANY peppy villager, not the ugly one she has if invited AFTER the campsite is built. Elise was one of two villagers I’ve sold a plot of land for via Tom Nook’s objectives to grow the island population but auto-filled in the next day cycle before I had any chance to invite a villager of choice. I moved them each out to make way for the two Cranky wolves that have the education hobby.

I have a personal vendetta against Leopold in ACNH. He was the first campsite villager on my island, which, for those out of the loop, means he'll just be there forever unless you invite him to stay. (Was over a week before I figured that out)
Whilst he was living on my island his smug personality really rubbed me up the wrong way, he kinda came across as a bit of a creep, so I was super glad when he finally left (after piling trash in his yard and fencing him in for several days)

Leopold was my first campsite villager as well. He actually asked if he could leave three days after he moved in -- and I said "Don't go!" because I felt sorry for him (and because I needed 10 villagers to get K.K. Slider to visit).
A few weeks later, he said he had a serious proposal for me, followed by him going "I LOVE YOUUUUUUUU!" It took me a moment to realize he was teaching me a new emotion -- I think it was "Encouragement." When I asked Katrina about him the other day, she didn't even offer a friendship spell because Leopold evidentially wants me to have his children.
I agree that there is quite a lot of "unlikable" villagers, but i disagree with you on raymond, it is not his fault that the world made such crazy deals for him, he is handsome and precious and he doesn't deserve to be on this list😔
That's how I feel too - sure maybe he's overrated, but the way people charged absurd amounts of in-game and/or IRL currency is on them, not Raymond's existence.

I know Marcel isn't popular or anything, but he lived on my sister's island and I grew to love him. He was in my top 3 faves of her island crew, behind Tutu and Hippeax. I dont usually like hippo villagers either, but he just had this certain... charm.
I love my boy Barold... I'll admit I first took him as a joke on a NMT Island as "discount" Raymond, but he actually grew on me. I spent a while giving him the perfect house in my opinion thanks to the DLC, and it fits his personality better; wiabu gaming otaku. Now he fits in to the lore aspects of my island, and has a desperate crush on Ione. Also a video I saw on Barold made me appreciate him even more.

Everyone seems to be creeped out towards at least one cute villager, and for me, that's Flurry. It's the combo of black beady eyes and human-colored skin that doesn't do it for me. Speaking of humans, that's the one thing I don't like in animal crossing. It's really off-putting to me when they intentionally make animals look like humans, so Alice and Pigleg are also my least favorites design wise.
I don't really want to delete any villagers because each one is someone's favorite, but if I had to these are the ones I would pick. Also Marina if I feel like being petty.

I disagree with Raymond and before anyone attacks me let me explain why. I had Raymond for the longest time and I didn't get him because he's was popular I didn't care about that. I got him because he fits my style with the glasses and the business suit he wars. However I won't lie I have gotten so much shame for having him and I need to express this. I really don't get the whole thing with Raymond. As someone who has had him last year, he's just like any other smug villager. Out of all the villagers that got a lot of love but at the same time a lot of hate was Raymond. Everywhere I see on Animal Crossing Sites its always "Raymond this and Raymond that" and it was everywhere. Now for me personally I got Raymond not because of the hype or fame, but because I like his style with the glasses and his business suit that fits my style. Some people took the whole Raymond hype way too seriously. I seen him getting charged so many Nook Mile Tickets on sites like Nookazon and even worse is when I saw people trying to sell him on Ebay using real money (Which goes against Nintendo's Terms of Service) and yet people still do it, because they wanted him so badly. Even worse is when people had Raymond the people who hate him shame others, just because they have him. I mean who cares? Don't shame people just because they have a ugly or popular villager.
I am pretty disappointed in the AC community for allowing this type of toxicity to last this long. I am glad that the hype is dying down "finally" but still I really wish next time when a new villager is announced or released in future we should treat them as "friends" and not like some type of "crazy value" Seriously I had to unfriend everyone who kept harrasssing me because I had Raymond. I REFUESE to let him go and get mistreated by others. Sorry for ranting but this was one of things that really turned me away from villager trading after I saw that video.

Sure design is great, but they way they act and the personality they have is a major role for me. I was hesitant with letting Ahnka on my island because in the other game, she was just..so rude :( but here, she’s absolutely amazing. She’s so sweet, she’s really changed 🥲 though, with some of the things she says…I know understand why she was the chosen one for ahh..THAT animation 💀 she likely doesn’t mean to sound pervy, but her mysterious lines can be very misunderstood.

Hello everyone! Uh I have a problem and I'm asking people who have animal Crossing about that, when I put July or August in my switch , in my world turns snowy and cold, but when I put December it's hot and there are mosquito like in summer, I don't understand
I suspect you have the incorrect region selected on your Switch itself and it thinks you are in the Southern Hemisphere. From the Home Screen on your Nintendo Switch, select System Settings. Scroll to the bottom and select System. Scroll down to Region and select the region in which you live. That should fix your issue, but you might have to restart your Switch, or at least close and reopen your Animal Crossing software.

The one villager for me who I cannot stand is Truffles. I got her on my island when I knew nothing about the game, and thought I was going to be able to get a bunch of villagers and create a cute little island (I guess I thought I’d be able to collect all the villagers like Pokémon.) Then I found out you can only have a set amount of villagers. Yeah, I wasn’t so happy about Truffles being on my island anymore. The longer she was on my island the more annoyed I became with her. I ended up having to force her off my island with an amiibo after months of having her on my island because she. Just. Wouldn’t. Leave. I can’t stand her anymore, I was alright with her when she first joined my island, and then despised her by the time she left.
Sounds almost like how I felt about dotty. I liked her at first and thought she was just going to be a temporary villager until I could get a dreamie of mine. Then I quickly became her "bestie" and even got her photo. Months went by and I wondered if she would ever ask to leave. Then, the curse spread. She would have a thought bubble that I would like to call the "fake" or "cursed" thought bubble because it would be her wanting me to fix something she caused. Even if I said no or yes on the same day, a villager (I wanted to keep ) would ask to leave and it wouldn't be her. It wouldn't fail. Every time that thought bubble would appear, someone else would also have one and want to leave. So I tried to get her friendship level lower and lower, even giving her trash on her birthday and cadging her inside her yard but she somehow found a way out. Others thought she was my recent villager and told me dotty couldn't leave if she was my recent one. And I started to believe them... Started to think that maybe I was wrong that it was Octavian and it was dotty that was recent. Then one day, she finally asked to leave. But the hunt for a peppy dreamie was tough. I ran into so many non peppy dreamies and had to say no to all of them while regretting that choice after seeing so many ok or terrible ones. I eventually found Audie though.

On one hand, I do agree that the whole Raymond hype did go out of hand. I mean, really? A black market?! On the other, I don’t think that villager really needs to be removed. It’s not the AI’s fault that people are overly obsessed. It is just an AI in a video game after all. And really, everyone has their opinions; you either like a villager or you don’t. This is supposed to be a peaceful game that everyone plays differently, so I say we let whoever likes the so called “ugly” villagers just enjoy what they enjoy. For example, I’ve actually seen quite a few Barold fans out there and I’m sure they would be disappointed if he was removed just because he has haters.

I'm sorry but I respect not liking certain villagers or finding them ugly but wanting them erased feels disrespectful to fans of them, even when they aren't popular or well-liked ones. Imagine you're excited for the next AC game, and you look forward to enjoying all the new content with your favorite villager only to find out they didn't make it. I know there are a lot of villagers, but people tend to get emotionally attached to ones that have become favorites, especially since AC has been an emotional support game for many (most notably during the pandemic.) It's bad enough people have tried to get my favorite villager who kept me happy throughout the lockdowns removed using petitions and hate groups, but seeing a video dedicated to this makes me more upset. Not because of his design (well a little bit the red eyes scared me) but because when I was a little girl playing New Leaf, I did not understand the villagers had programmed in personalities. My favourite villager was (and still is) Walker, a lazy villager, so when Rodeo moved in (and was also a lazy villager) and started acting exactly like Walker and saying the same things, I got upset thinking Rodeo was mocking Walker. A little part of my little brain also knew that Walker was just a computer program who wasn't unique, but I was really young at the time and really attached to Walker so it made me really upset. So I hated Rodeo with a passion; not to mention his design was just really creepy to me.

I was disappointed when the Sanrio cards came out only to find my favorite character, Hello Kitty, was attached to a gorilla villager lol...the gorillas are one of my least favorite type 😂
I had Bubbles and Elise on my island before. Bubbles was my initial Peppy villager from the 3-housing plots quest with the beautiful interior for ANY peppy villager, not the ugly one she has if invited AFTER the campsite is built. Elise was one of two villagers I’ve sold a plot of land for via Tom Nook’s objectives to grow the island population but auto-filled in the next day cycle before I had any chance to invite a villager of choice. I moved them each out to make way for the two Cranky wolves that have the education hobby.
I allways get theese ugly campsite villagers like ugh and then I get all my dreamies on Happy home academy

On my first ever island I was SO UNLUCKY. I got Al as my lazy villager for the 3 furnished houses and I got Rodney for my first campsite villager. I WISH I WAS JOKING.
