I know Meow and Bow were based on Japanese products, which is why they were exclusive to the E+ game, but I really wish that Nintendo would bring them back someday. I'm also really miffed about Pierre (the clown cat) being deleted. It'd be cool to have more than just Pietro in terms of circus-y villagers.
Pierre is so adorable. I would definitely have him on my island if he was in new horizons. I really hope he comes back eventually, he's definitely one of the cutest deleted villagers. Same with Meow. Those two would make excellent additions to my cat island.

He was formally known as Pironkon, and was not only a JP exclusive, but an ISLAND ONLY villager, too. So to not only see him return in glorious HD, but also learn that he's been re-worked into a weird headlight-eyed gator that's obsessed with aliens? Truly a dream come true for me. I love my cryptid neighbor.

His design in ACNH looks very clean and stands out from the rest of the gators. My only wish is for Liz to come back as well, but she'd probably be too similar looking with Gayle (who I also love).
Ever since Wolf Link was added as a cameo in New Leaf, I was OBSESSED. I’ve always been a LOZ fan every since a kid so seeing Wolf Link was a big hit of excitement. But that was only in New Leaf. Although it won’t happen, I would love for him to come to ACNH since it is way more advanced, and you have more interaction options. I STAN WOLF LINK 🐺🌌🗡
I wish they would bring back Poko, he was a jock cub villager, he was also Ike's son. They brought back Ike but not his son. It would be cool if they had more villagers that are related like Chrissy and Francine, and bringing back Poko would make that happen

And now they are forever stuck in the void. Until maybe splatoon 3. Then maybe we'll get inkwell, or a new octoling-based villager.
Still can’t forgive the fact the crossover villagers didn’t comeback, new horizons was my first animal crossing and I remember hearing about them and waiting for their return. It’s such a shame honestly cuz i love Meow so much 😭 and the whole retro pixelated faces just worked so good. Regardless of them being based off of some Japanese game/item. The whole pixelated face thing was something that was universally loved regardless of the origin.
I’m still sad that they never added Aziz to new horizons. He in my opinion, was the best designed lion. The bindi on his head, his bold smile. I love him. He adds a splash of culture and color to the bland cast of lions.
I've been allowing autofills on my island and building as i go and until i reach a location reserved for a specific dreamie i just let the game randomly move anyone in. So called ugly and unpopular villagers are not that bad. I'm ok with my monkey and the many other non popular villagers, i even have both Sasha and Shino as autofills and they feel no more or less exciting than the other villagers. I don't get why everyone going crazy obsessing over hating on villagers or arguing over who's more cute than who. The ones on my dreamie list feel more personal or i had them before and liked them, others are simply cute and i love having them around. The only villager i can say i hate is Rhonda, and the villager i'd call retched to look at is Naomi, everybody else is fine. I can deal with ugly because what others call ugly i call charming and unique, but everything clashes on Naomi, she's too weird and hurt my eyes for me to be ok with her with her red eyeliner, blue fur, fuchsia swirly dress....
I really wish they would've put meow and bow into new horizons:( their so cute and creative and I think it really would've spiced up the selection for dog and cat villagers in the game

I was really hoping that they would bring in Tarou during the final update because my island is wolf themed but I also try to have one of each personality type around. And there are no Jock, Lazy, or Big Sister Wolves. Almost every single wolf is Cranky or Snooty. As of right now there is only 1 Smug wolf, 1 Sweet wolf, and 1 Peppy wolf. This is crazy to me, I don't know why they would relegate the majority of the wolves to 2 personalities! Undeleting Tarou would've added some much needed variety!
I'm glad they don't generally remove villagers based off popularity. As a certified Rodney Appreciator I would hate to risk having "ugly" villagers disappear. Every villager is someone's favorite :)

If I were to have ANY deleted villagers come to my island.. it would be Iggy, Sven, and Tarou. I would drop some of my current dreamies just to have them lol

I miss Gannon from New Leaf. I didn't know what to expect when I scanned my 8-bit link amiibo into new leaf but it was a treat getting a world conquering demon who also liked to catch bugs. He would just be out walking catching butterflies and then he would just say a off line about watching the world burn I really hope we get a "welcome amiibo" style update for New Horizen especially with Splatoon DLC and the new Zelda game around the corner.
i NEED my girl Megumi back soon😭 she looks like the sweetest thing ever, and i am gonna play the original game but, shes an e+ exclusive sadly so i probably wont ever meet her 💔
