I know Meow and Bow were based on Japanese products, which is why they were exclusive to the E+ game, but I really wish that Nintendo would bring them back someday. I'm also really miffed about Pierre (the clown cat) being deleted. It'd be cool to have more than just Pietro in terms of circus-y villagers.
Pierre is so adorable. I would definitely have him on my island if he was in new horizons. I really hope he comes back eventually, he's definitely one of the cutest deleted villagers. Same with Meow. Those two would make excellent additions to my cat island.
As much as I wanted Meow and Bow back, it could potentially be a copyrighting issue which is why they're kept away which also applies to other none-Nintendo cross-over villagers

I would love Owl Villagers, we got Blathers (technically). I would love to see a whiskered screech, a barn, a pygmy, a great gray, a hawk owl, etc.

I actually cried a little when that 2.0 update dropped and we were introduced to the (not so new) Roswell. He was formally known as Pironkon, and was not only a JP exclusive, but an ISLAND ONLY villager, too. So to not only see him return in glorious HD, but also learn that he's been re-worked into a weird headlight-eyed gator that's obsessed with aliens? Truly a dream come true for me. I love my cryptid neighbor.
Yess!! I love all the gator villagers and I have Pironkon and Liz original e-reader cards from n64/gamecube Animal Crossing. I was so happy to see they brought him back as Roswell. His design in ACNH looks very clean and stands out from the rest of the gators. My only wish is for Liz to come back as well, but she'd probably be too similar looking with Gayle (who I also love).

Ever since Wolf Link was added as a cameo in New Leaf, I was OBSESSED. I’ve always been a LOZ fan every since a kid so seeing Wolf Link was a big hit of excitement. But that was only in New Leaf. Although it won’t happen, I would love for him to come to ACNH since it is way more advanced, and you have more interaction options. I STAN WOLF LINK 🐺🌌🗡

I hope we get to see more new and old villagers in the next installment of animal crossing

I wish they would bring back Poko, he was a jock cub villager, he was also Ike's son. They brought back Ike but not his son. It would be cool if they had more villagers that are related like Chrissy and Francine, and bringing back Poko would make that happen
When 2.0 was anounced, I was SO EXCITED becuase I thought that we would get crossover villagers back and I could finally get inkwell on my island. I also reaaaaally wanted bow and meow to come back. And now they are forever stuck in the void. Until maybe splatoon 3. Then maybe we'll get inkwell, or a new octoling-based villager.

It’s such a shame honestly cuz i love Meow so much 😭 and the whole retro pixelated faces just worked so good. Regardless of them being based off of some Japanese game/item. The whole pixelated face thing was something that was universally loved regardless of the origin.
Still can’t forgive the fact the crossover villagers didn’t comeback, new horizons was my first animal crossing and I remember hearing about them and waiting for their return. I’d love to have wolf link on my island but I’ll just settle with Kyle as my smug wolf villager (I will admit he’s got a nice house)

They really need to bring back the Zelda and Splatoon ones
One of the disappeared villagers is Jane…she originally had white fur but they made her purple on export. I think they were worried about a Jynx repeat
I wasn't around for those so i cant say i feel anything for them, but i definitely want that orange-brown horse with the white mane.

Looking at deleted villagers makes me think about how some characters in animal crossing should have been deleted instead of them. I wish the deleted ones were in the present animal crossing.

I’m still sad that they never added Aziz to new horizons. He in my opinion, was the best designed lion. The bindi on his head, his bold smile. I love him. He adds a splash of culture and color to the bland cast of lions.

Ahhh!! I need the splatoon and Zelda villagers so bad!!!! I am working on getting the amiibos for the splatoon ones to use in ACNL but haven’t got them yet. Wolf link is amazing too!!

I was really hoping that they would bring in Tarou during the final update because my island is wolf themed but I also try to have one of each personality type around. And there are no Jock, Lazy, or Big Sister Wolves. Almost every single wolf is Cranky or Snooty. As of right now there is only 1 Smug wolf, 1 Sweet wolf, and 1 Peppy wolf. This is crazy to me, I don't know why they would relegate the majority of the wolves to 2 personalities!
Undeleting Tarou would've added some much needed variety!

I've been allowing autofills on my island and building as i go and until i reach a location reserved for a specific dreamie i just let the game randomly move anyone in. So called ugly and unpopular villagers are not that bad. I'm ok with my monkey and the many other non popular villagers, i even have both Sasha and Shino as autofills and they feel no more or less exciting than the other villagers. I don't get why everyone going crazy obsessing over hating on villagers or arguing over who's more cute than who. The ones on my dreamie list feel more personal or i had them before and liked them, others are simply cute and i love having them around.
The only villager i can say i hate is Rhonda, and the villager i'd call retched to look at is Naomi, everybody else is fine. I can deal with ugly because what others call ugly i call charming and unique, but everything clashes on Naomi, she's too weird and hurt my eyes for me to be ok with her with her red eyeliner, blue fur, fuchsia swirly dress....

my only animal crossing experiences are pocket camp and new horizons yet i will still stand by the fact that woolio is one of my favorites and he should be brought back

I'm glad they don't generally remove villagers based off popularity. As a certified Rodney Appreciator I would hate to risk having "ugly" villagers disappear. Every villager is someone's favorite :)

I remember when i first started acnh in December it was the first ever animal crossing game I played and when I found out they had crossover characters I was thrilled until I realized they weren't in acnh I would have loved a wolf link I love playing botw but some dreams will never come true

I wish they would bring back the dog named Nicholas to the newer games. Nicholas was only available in older games and the Japanese versions of the games

the funny thing is I recently pulled frett and sacha from the same amiibo card pack.
I miss Gannon from New Leaf. I didn't know what to expect when I scanned my 8-bit link amiibo into new leaf but it was a treat getting a world conquering demon who also liked to catch bugs.
He would just be out walking catching butterflies and then he would just say a off line about watching the world burn I really hope we get a "welcome amiibo" style update for New Horizen especially with Splatoon DLC and the new Zelda game around the corner.
Okay Frye as a cat villager, shiver as a wolf and big man as a frog would work perfectly.

I was happy to see Zoe return partly as she only appeared in one game and partly because I missed her; I likewise was happy to see Chabwick(Originally named Nobuo), a formerly Japan exclusive(And very lovable) villager only appearing in Animal Crossing e+ return. Hopefully in the future we may see the returns of Liz, Penny, Belle, Ace, Emerald, Otis, Sunny and Nindori.
I would LOVE for the robot faced villagers to come back!

Here's hoping that the deleted villagers will surface in a New Horizons 3.0 update.
Which won’t happen, version wise, since 3.0 would be a major update, which Nintendo said will not happen anymore. Maybe in a minor 2.1 type of update, but I honestly wouldn’t have too high hopes of that either.
