Dude. As somebody who actually lives in Coos Bay, it kind of did my head in seeing where I live in a video game, lmao. Watching the Blue Heron Restaurant, visitor's center and Egyptian Theater pass by. Couple little interesting facts for you if you see this and anyone else who may catch this. The Tioga building used to be a luxury hotel, opened in the late 1940s, it's now been turned into apartments. It's also the tallest building on the Oregon coast. Also, there's actually two different towns right on top of one another, Coos Bay and North Bend. When you came off the bridge, you were actually passing through North Bend before getting to Coos Bay. You were also correct, it is the largest Oregon coastal city, combined it has a population of about 30,000 between CB and NB. And actually, because of how far south in the state it is, we rarely get snow. It's mostly rain during the winter months. If you decide to do a car mod through Oregon, I hope you'll pass through and explore. I'm interested to see how detailed they made it!
IRL in Oregon I've been back and forth down I-5 and I-84 (and the upper half of the 101) so many times in my life that it feels really weird reaching cities in a matter of minutes in-game .... It still feels just like home though. They really nailed that Oregon feel.
All the log and oil patch trucks around where I live are Kenworth T800s and W900s, Western Star 4900s, Freightliner 122sd’s. We get some Pete’s but they are mostly owner-operators and are quite done up.
When, and that's a big IF, they get to Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming it would be nice if they'd take the logging road idea and implement an oilfield type idea. Oregon does look good and I don't think it would take much to make Washington and/or Idaho next.
The actual city of bend has about 100,000 people in it, definitely isn’t a small town! Loving these videos though Jeff, I haven’t been home in Oregon for a few years or so and this is giving me its feel again!
34:10... “sun fall”... “in all technicality.” There it is ladies and gentlemen. I know you can take lighthearted humor, Jeff. Otherwise I wouldn’t have posted this. Keep ‘em comin. You’re the best.
Jeff a little tip for you from a real trucker, you only need a tri axle when your over 80,000 pounds which you are not since the load is 27,000 pounds, and when you make turns you need to lift the axle if not your turns are gonna be shit
TH-cam Fan I believe they are to protect fenders from stones/debris being kicked up from other vehicles; just my guess though. Could be for aesthetics also maybe
jeff, love your series have watched it forever, would love to see a run from Portland to L.A. or vice versa just utilizing the Pacific Coast Highway with a really unique cargo like Beer from Portland or something really weird from L.A. like perfume or whatever
33:00 That's McCullough Memorial Bridge - was a Works Progress Administration project during the great depression. Tioga hotel - one of only a few buildings in town that have an elevator.
Wow Jeff Your tractor model turned out fantastic ! The axle, headache rack and angled 8in stacks are spot on. Weather wise in NorCal it's been rainy but not near cold enough for snow it was 77° today.
WE have no snow yet. when we do i will let you know. Jeff you might wont to have your head lights on all the time, its a truck thing. the 379 build looks good man. i ran one for years. if you go down I-84 you will drive over cabbage mountain, 6.2% grade, its easy
Just found this video. Literally spent 35 years driving the real thing in SW Oregon. Never thought I would see the day when anyone would turn log truck driving into a computer game. Btw that trailer is referred to as a hayrack. A real log truck loads the trailer onto the empty truck for the trip into the woods to get the load of logs.
I've driven down the same road outside of bend so many times and let me tell you the details are pretty spot on the little quote on quote monument of the horses is actually there it's so cool seeing that
That interior you have was in the 379 from 1987 to 2001 then it got the more modern intrrior in 2002 and they tweaked it a lil bit for the 389 and the 379 had the door mounted mirrors until 2004 and in 2005 they put the cab mounted mirrors on not to be rude just some knowledge to share
I would like to see some exploration in a car, I recommend the Fiat 124 Spider, little convertible sports car. I don't use trip axles much, but yeah, that happens when you reload when you had it down. Oregon is a beautiful state, congrats on your marriage, and can't wait for OCRP to come to your main. Keep on truckin Jeff!
Hey Jeff my younger brother (who told me all about your channel) is getting married on the 27th, just 4 days before you and Nicole. That is too awesome!!! Congrats and may you both have a wonderful and everlasting marriage!!!
That intersection where everyone pulled out in front of you looks to be bugged out. You can see a sign showing traffic light ahead, yet there's no light. Must be invisible. Or SCS intended to put a light there, forgot, and the intersection isn't programmed as a stop, so the AI just blows through it.
congrats on getting married forget to say earlier on the air drop tri axle that is mostly meant for stright line driving or interstate driving. or for driving on roads that are not so tight on turns. at least thats how i used to run it before i got another trailer at my current trucking company.
Sir, I am new to ATS and am having a hell of a time getting Mods to work. I have all the DLC and love the game. I want to Get my trucks looking nice like yours and have the Triple rear axles. If you have a guide with all of the Mods you have that are working or maybe you can make a noob video. Thank you for your time.
My father drives cross country for landstar. Yesterday his trucks idler pulley froze up and ate his serpentine belt. Thats onething this game lacks is breakdowns which i can see why it doesnt have it but the immersion would be so much better. Someone make a mod for that xD
I think you have an issue with that traffic mod. I have done a couple of runs in Oregon, no problems with traffic. Haven't seen much of the scenery because most my trips were at night.
I am going to guess the game only sees the axle as up or down, and there is no gauge or way to set how much weight the drop axle takes. As normally you only put enough air in the bags to take just enough weight the drives are not over loaded.
Sorry to be a grammar Nazi but their is used for possession. As in their phone. The correct form would be there. As in over there. Or like your sentence, there should be. They're is the conjunction for they are. It helps to remember that one by saying they are and seeing if the sentence fits. As in they're going to the movies. They are going to the movies.
Umm Jeff LOL you remember before a tug test you must hook air lines and to do that you have to attach so that means raising the landing gear But Great Vids love um
At least in my experience IRL, I never hook up the airlines before the tug test as the most important thing I'm checking is that the fifth wheel jaws are locked around the kingpin, then I connect airlines after that and can test trailer brakes after I'm securely hooked up. Just makes more logical sense to me that way. And besides on most modern trailers the brakes are set when they aren't supplied with air anyways. So at least in my opinion it seems pretty realistic to me as it is currently. You could hook them up before doing it but it for some reason the fifth wheel didnt latch and you need to pull forward a bit it can be a hassle to have to disconnect the airlines depending on how far you need to pull forward. Just some thoughts from a fellow virtual and IRL driver. ⛟💨
You crank the landing gear up a little, but not all the way. Then you pull against the trailer (without air modern trailers brakes are applied) to make sure the locking jaws are firmly locked around the kingpin. Then you can connect the gladhands and electric line and raise the landing gear and test the trailer brakes again. The reason you leave the gear down during the first test is in case the jaws aren't locked fully or correctly, so the trailer doesnt fall all the way down. Then you can pull against the brakes again without the kingpin slipping loose and the trailer falling off the tractor and hitting the ground.
I can’t wait until you open application for ocrp again when I get back to gta5 again cause I’m applying 1st chance I get cause I love your videos I love that game and it would be awesome to finally join a group on a game for once it would really be fun to do a joint logging run or something on ATS
Great video, plz allow me to recommend SMARTYS wheel pack via steam and or viper's wheel pack from steam, basically the real version of the aluminium wheels you have in this video 🤘 keep up the great work
3 things Jeff: Great content that you are making been watching you since the the euro truck days 2. Best of September? and finally do you know pole ice if so could you consider making a video with him keep it up Jeff
I was so happy for one to get back in this series and two have the first episode I watch be in my home state but then I heard him say oregon wrong Edit:I know he said it right later but it still made me mad

As a truck driver IRL, i'm obsessed with this game. I drive a truck all day then go home and pretend to drive a truck lol
IRL in Oregon I've been back and forth down I-5 and I-84 (and the upper half of the 101) so many times in my life that it feels really weird reaching cities in a matter of minutes in-game .... It still feels just like home though. They really nailed that Oregon feel.
that's dedication
@@NITRO2494 yeah i agree haha
@@BranGrizz lol i just love my job. I finally got a g920 with the shifter. So kuch better than using a controller.
"Ore-gone." Dead giveaway that someone's from out of town!
In the video I call it “Organ” but I had people telling me that was wrong so I did it on purpose.
We still love you!
All the log and oil patch trucks around where I live are Kenworth T800s and W900s, Western Star 4900s, Freightliner 122sd’s. We get some Pete’s but they are mostly owner-operators and are quite done up.

Why do you lift them
andrew brettingham bc when you turn the axle is gonna make it take rly wide turns and if you turn rly sharp it’s gonna drag the tires
I have a question what are the chrome things that truck drivers put on top of their headlights that look like eye lashes used for?
TH-cam Fan I believe they are to protect fenders from stones/debris being kicked up from other vehicles; just my guess though. Could be for aesthetics also maybe
THEY LOOK LIKE A COVER THEIR ON TOP/FRONT OF HEADLIGHTS ON BIG RIGS AND THEIR MADE FROM CHROME THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT
Jeff you should visit Oregon i ve lived here my whole life and it's amazing
Me to
jeff, love your series have watched it forever, would love to see a run from Portland to L.A. or vice versa just utilizing the Pacific Coast Highway with a really unique cargo like Beer from Portland or something really weird from L.A. like perfume or whatever
I would love for you to explore Oregon some more. That beach road looked awesome
I don't even care about trucks, but watching you drive through the country while you narrate is weirdly relaxing for some reason.
33:00 That's McCullough Memorial Bridge - was a Works Progress Administration project during the great depression. Tioga hotel - one of only a few buildings in town that have an elevator.
I am so impressed with this Oregon DLC. Anyone else agree?
Ya I live in Oregon the detail is great
Didn't know you were getting married, Congratulation!
Great video Jeff! Welcome to the nightmare of 45 mph through Bend. The highway runs right through the middle of the City.
Wow Jeff Your tractor model turned out fantastic ! The axle, headache rack and angled 8in stacks are spot on. Weather wise in NorCal it's been rainy but not near cold enough for snow it was 77° today.

Jeff I would live to see your face if you crossed the real bridge into coos bay. Pretty accurate but a sight to behold in real life.
Just found this video. Literally spent 35 years driving the real thing in SW Oregon. Never thought I would see the day when anyone would turn log truck driving into a computer game. I've driven down the same road outside of bend so many times and let me tell you the details are pretty spot on the little quote on quote monument of the horses is actually there it's so cool seeing that
That’s awesome I live in coosbay Oregon
The Route advisor mod is working again BTW Jeff. I love it personally, always having a little bar of info at the bottom

Dude absolutely love your videos what I do miss is your intro and outro Jam bring that back
Awesome video great job
Hey Jeff my younger brother (who told me all about your channel) is getting married on the 27th, just 4 days before you and Nicole. That is too awesome!!! Congrats and may you both have a wonderful and everlasting marriage!!!
you probably wont get married if you really listen to that stuff you have in your channel
That intersection where everyone pulled out in front of you looks to be bugged out. You can see a sign showing traffic light ahead, yet there's no light. Must be invisible. Or SCS intended to put a light there, forgot, and the intersection isn't programmed as a stop, so the AI just blows through it.
The tri axel is meant for weight limit laws you can run heavier with more axels
Grimes is coming out with a late fall early winter mod for ats, it might be worth it .
Have you seen the trailer for Alaska truck simulator?
congrats on getting married forget to say earlier on the air drop tri axle that is mostly meant for stright line driving or interstate driving. or for driving on roads that are not so tight on turns. at least thats how i used to run it before i got another trailer at my current trucking company.
Jeff can you please do some more xplane
Hey Jeff there is longer logging roads near the Medford area in Oregon .
Awesome Video Jeff As Always Bud.
you should use jazzycat ai truck pack mod
And every time the game updates, sadly his mods break.
8:21 rest in peace stop sign 😂
U should go over through Eugene to get to Spingfield and Thurston
Eugene Springfield and Thurston suck
Springfield Eugene Thurston they're okay they're more big city. places like Willamina Grand ronde those are loging towns
I must say I am absolutely loving the Oregon ATS videos!! Keep it up man ;)
35:26 arrows on road facing wrong way
Sir, I am new to ATS and am having a hell of a time getting Mods to work. I have all the DLC and love the game. I want to Get my trucks looking nice like yours and have the Triple rear axles. Please SOMEBODY TELL SONY TO BRING THIS GREAT GAME TO PS4......
TEAMATLANTA911 there's now Truck Driver on PS4 and it's not bad, not as good as ATS but it's something
My father drives cross country for landstar. Yesterday his trucks idler pulley froze up and ate his serpentine belt. Thats onething this game lacks is breakdowns which i can see why it doesnt have it but the immersion would be so much better. Someone make a mod for that xD
With the other profile can you create a business by hiring other truck drivers? That would be something nice to bring to the channel, if you can.
tri axal for Oregon as well is typically used for dirty roads
Now that's cool
i love this episode the monuments he pointed out I've been too and i live in coos bay its awesome to see my tiny tiny town in a video game
I think you have an issue with that traffic mod. I have done a couple of runs in Oregon, no problems with traffic. Haven't seen much of the scenery because most my trips were at night.
24k?! Shoot, you’re runnin’ empty!

Oregon doesn’t usually get snow until late december or January
That's BS. I've seen snow earlier than that
Mark Bunting at least where i live. that’s usually when it’s starts coming in
Jeff are you loving Florida so far can’t wait for your next lspdfr vid.
It need to be like mud runner it needs to have mud on the loging road
12:28-12:48 holy cow that green car was flying...

Doing traffic control in Oregon I’ve been on this route that he is taking it’s beautiful in real life.
Oregon is beautiful
I Love your youtubechanel.
What about season 6 of winters passion though jeff ?
It’s a headache rack not logging rack ok? And love the vid!
thank you
You can still call it a logging rack it's just a different type of headache rack
jeff you know u can pick up your tri axle while driving and also can put them down while driving
I'm going to the homestead race too. Maybe I'll see ya!
Hey, the traffic lights in Oregon don't work if you use the mod Longer Yellow Lights
Their should be a ice road trucking dlc
Sorry to be a grammar Nazi but their is used for possession. As in their phone. The correct form would be there. As in over there. Or like your sentence, there should be. They're is the conjunction for they are. It helps to remember that one by saying they are and seeing if the sentence fits. As in they're going to the movies. They are going to the movies.
Srgt Overkill wait can you say that simply(like in a dumber version)
I’m curious how to install any other mods that I can’t get through the steam workshop for this game specially if I try the snow mod this year myself
Umm Jeff LOL you remember before a tug test you must hook air lines and to do that you have to attach so that means raising the landing gear But Great Vids love um
It’s the only way to RP it
At least in my experience IRL, I never hook up the airlines before the tug test as the most important thing I'm checking is that the fifth wheel jaws are locked around the kingpin, then I connect airlines after that and can test trailer brakes after I'm securely hooked up. Where did you download viper's 389????
I can’t wait until you open application for ocrp again when I get back to gta5 again cause I’m applying 1st chance I get cause I love your videos I love that game and it would be awesome to finally join a group on a game for once it would really be fun to do a joint logging run or something on ATS
California's Route1 has nothing to compare with the beauty of that coast road from Newport to Coos Bay.
Idk if you use mods from the steam workshop but if you do I don’t remember the one I have but I have a real business mod from the steam workshop
Great video, plz allow me to recommend SMARTYS wheel pack via steam and or viper's wheel pack from steam, basically the real version of the aluminium wheels you have in this video 🤘 keep up the great work
