Who is here after the devastating fires? This just popped up in my feed. My son lives in West Hollywood, which is fine. I can't imagine, it's just awful. 😪
Me ,😢😢😢😢 I'm so so sorry for your loss brothers and sisters....,I pray for you and your familys 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 😭 😭 😭 😭 💔 💔 💔 💔 💔 😞😞😞😞 Too much love,hugs and support from Algeria, God bless you and god bless Los Angeles forever.
My heart goes out to everyone who lost their home. It's so sad to watch this knowing that all of these houses are gone now...😢😢😢 Prayers to everyone impacted by these fires. 😢
I want to send my deepest sympathies to everyone in California affected by these devastating fires. My heart breaks for all of you. One of the things I’ve always admired about the Pacific Palisades is the beauty and individuality of the homes - each one with its own unique character, so full of life and love. You can feel the pride and care in every detail, from the architecture to the stunning gardens that bring joy and beauty to your communities. It’s heartbreaking to think of so much being lost. Please know that even from here in Canada, my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. I hope for your strength and for healing as you rebuild what has been taken.😢
I’ve never been to California, but I have a daughter who lives near Los Angeles. Your video is so serene. A stark contrast, I’m sure, for what’s going on there at this moment, 6:03am 1/8/25. Such a beautiful area. So heartbreaking. 😢
This is so eerie, just a normal average day here. Almost a year later, this neighborhood would go up in flames, everyone in this video pretty much lost everything. My condolences to those who lost everything in the wildfires, stay safe.
That’s a lesson. Material things are so meaningless in the end, you can lose it all in a minute or less and people are so proud of their possessions and it’s all ashes now.
Watching this from the otherside of the Pacific Ocean (New Zealand), I cannot believe the level of destruction this area has recently faced, it's chilling to know close to, if not every house/structure seen in this video has been reduced to ashes. Truly devastating.
But there have been warnings, and plenty of them. Like the wild fires of 2020, 2021 and 2022. Why has the California government not learned from these experiences?
Under these unfortunate circumstances your channel came down my timeline & now I'm a new subsciber.Very relaxing so now I must start binge watching.Praying for those whom lost their family, friends, homes & other priceless things during these difficult times.😢🙏🏽🙌🏽💪🏽
Beautiful very nice could never afford to live there wish I could hear people talk about California and some hated living there know a nice beautiful woman lived there 30 yrs and hated it
I've never been to California, but it was one of the places I wanted to see at some point in my life. It's so sad that I won't be able to see all this beauty anymore. I'm so sorry for everyone affected by the fire. Including the plants and animals... While watching the video, I hummed my favorite song by The Boys, Surfin' USA. Especially the part "Haggerty's and Swami's, Pacific Palisades", but instead of feeling happy, I felt a deep sadness. R.I.P Palisades 😢
Tragic no A neighbourhood of millionaires and billionaires who couldn't pool money together to have a really effective protection strategy against fire on a wooded hill Tragic when poor communities around the world have their environments destroyed by first world greed

I remember watching this a few weeks ago and couldn't believe how green and leafy the front gardens were. Very unusual for modern suburbs. Sad that so many of these homes could be burnt. A few years ago Australia would send fire-fighters and equipment to help but I wonder if we can now as we are in our summer bushfire season. I hope we can help somehow.
There are a lot of videos of people driving through these places before it all happened, hmmm , kinda wonder how these videos will be watched now over and over by so many as time goes on 👀🥺
Watching from Colorado. Looks like such a beautiful area with lots of midcentury modern homes. Love that era when the homes were all unique and had such character. Don’t like the cookie cutter homes of today. So sad this has all burned down.
Wouldn't it be so cool if you could put a little map down in the bottom right so we could see the direction of travel and location? I just thought of that while watching this....wondering where in the heck this is in relation to other cross streets. I'm wondering if this is the area that's gone now from all the fires. 😢 The houses are really stacked in there. Wow!
@wasteoftimehere they say in the reports I've just seen they have all burned down! In Palisades ! If Mr Farrells has a home there most likely it is gone! The winds are extremely strong! And the fire is ragging!
It was about 15 years ago, I was working in the palisades, I came around a corner, and in the street was a man and a woman fighting, full on slug fest. Over hoods of cars, one side of the street to the other. I was going to help the woman... but I could tell, she wasn't the 'victim' but an equal in the fight. She would punch the guy in the face, and knock him to the ground and then vice versa. I watched them just trade off it wasn't pretty. After many minutes, I recognized WHO these two people were.....it was the actor Tom Sizemore and the woman known as 'The Hollywood Madame' Heidi Fleiss. She had been all over the news. The headlines, at the time were 'Where's Heidi Fleiss?'. I said out loud 'there she is' and I knew, these two are really wasted. I had to back up the street to get out of there. But what a site, at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon, on a beautiful sunny day.
💔Beautiful and sad at the same time. What was and is no longer there. Too painful, unfair, wrong. I hope the time for rebuilding the houses comes soon. Pacific Palisades must shine brighter than before, in honor of what was and the people who lost everything. In honor of the memories. 💖🙏
As the current tragedy unfolds. This is historic. I must say, I was under the impression that Pacific Palisades was akin to the looks of Siesta Key and Lido Beach in Florida. Considering..,the average income ranged 220-350K annually. That is not the case. This area looks as if it had better days. Per se the 1960s. Every other lawn looks like it's in a struggle. The roads show evidence of constant deterioration. The houses appear to be much closer than comfortability allows. The rebuild-if such occurs-should be a more distinctive and discerning one. May the deserving Souls persevere. Aquarius is Real.💫
How easy it is to become a part of History! What appears to be a relaxed oasis of privileged living, is now all dust. Lesson for humanity to never take anything for granted. Cherish the moment you are living in.
The fire could have been prevented if there was something in place to keep the trees and the soil moist in the hot summer months there's no rain in California and California is a very dry desert of course if something in the area catches fire it's going to go up like a bat out of hell. This was easily preventable if they would have threw water down like they doing now months ago during hot months this is the outcome of not keeping up with property and not having residents keep their soil in the trees moist I know that there's water situations but they have a whole ocean to try to convert into clean water for people and for the atmosphere and for the land this is unspeakable this should have never happened I love California this is awful to see my heart is breaking for the people that lost their lives. And lost their livelihood😢
Just an idyllic area ,beautiful neighborhoods. I biked thru that area back in 85&86,it wasn't as built up then but it was breathtaking. Its a shamed more preparedness wasn't there for these people who pay some of the highest taxes in the country. I wonder what evil is planned for them as they try to rebuild if its even possible.
The volume of houses with asphalt shingle roofs, the wooden fences, the wood-sided houses... Hopefully the new building code will forbid these tinderbox materials.
They were forbidden as a matter of fire safety policies inducted after the 1961 belair hills fire incident. There is a well narrated documentary on that incident that parallels those of last week's.

Treasured footage! It did look lifeless, though. Everyone indoors! Roads looked rough as well for a rich area! But treasured footage no less!
