So helpful! I just learned how to roll my r's and now I need to practice my pronunciation. I can't wait to practice again with this video!
Amazing! I'm studying classical Latin and this really helped me! Grátiás tibi agó!
Gratia tibi quoque!
Grazie mille Insegnante ❤❤❤
The tip to pretend you will say the d sound did it for me!!! I'm not 100% sure I'm doing it correctly now but much better than before
Ottimo!
Thank you. I have been struggling with this for years...
Grazie a te per il tuo commento!
Thanks for making great content. My sister's boyfriend is Italian and she'll be going to italy with him to meet his family. I've always wanted to learn Italian but now i have a reason too (just in case she moves there)
And quick question, i want to ask if you Would recommend doulingo as a main way to learn a foreign language or just as an additional practice tool? Thanks so much. Have a blessed day mam :)
Hi Ree, it’s wonderful that you want to learn Italian! I use Duolingo myself, it’s a fun app and it can be a useful practice tool. I don’t think you can rely on it completely, though. You will outgrow it at some point ;)
Most of the time, my tongue hits the roof of my mouth hard making an abrupt "d" sound when I try to do this. Occasionally, I will get it right by accident. I want to learn to do this but I think it's going to take me a long time. Will I sound very strange to a native Italian speaker if I can't roll my Rs?
Hi Stephanie! I think you should keep trying, especially since you can already get it right at times, but it's not a big deal. Actually some Italians are unable to roll their Rs, too - we say they have a French R or "erre moscia". It's very common in some areas.
@@MyItalianCircle that makes me feel better! Thanks for letting me know! I will continue trying.
Proud to be the 1000th viewer
Fantastico!
And the r at the end of the word? Example cor
Ciao! It’s the same sound. :) The sound system is quite consistent, luckily!
3:02 That’s what mine sounds like lol

You can have a look at this page if you want, it’s a good start! www.myitaliancircle.com/language/beginner.html

We have a lot in common! :D
I'm Spanish speaker and I can't because I pronounce it like ɾɾ😅😭
Just don't make it too strong and you'll be fine! ROARRRR 😆
I am rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrussian
All those words….USELESS without hearing the pronunciation!!😢
…but I say them in the video 🤔
not helpful at all... I follow your instructions and no rrrrrrrr
Sorry to hear that! Some people find it easier, others more difficult. English speakers usually have a hard time with rolled r's.
