Okay, it took me a little while to figure this out. This is actually the video track that Donny sang to in concert. They put that annoying cowbell into his molded ear-monitors so he could keep on track. That is fun to sing to, even as badly as I sing it, and pretend I am a big recording star.
AHH!!!! I'm so glad this is on here! I worked at the company that created this! I wasn't really involved in the project, but one day I got to back in the studio and help out. I got to "use" Donny's macbook air. Really, I was just in charge of starting and stopping the click/vocals track 😂 and helped hold the cables on the dolly shots :) If I remember right, they filmed it sped up and slowed it down to give it the dreamy effect. You can try it yourself even-speed the video up to 2x and you can see that their movements look natural. So the first time I ever heard this song was at double speed and I really liked it! It took me a while to get used to the real version :) This video is especially awesome to me because it has the click track and the quick tag at the start. It seriously rings so familiar from hearing it over and over. I also remember being so impressed with Donny. He just had the air of someone who goes out and makes things happen. Thank you for sharing this! 💙🎶 Edit: after looking at it again, 2x seems too fast, but maybe 1.5x is most natural in the movement.

I don’t know if the click track would be a different tone in actual performance, or if he’d use one at all or just rely on the accompaniment. That was the principle thing that i DISLIKED about this version, that and the 'live/ sampling' (for lack of a better term) that they did. It almost ruined the song. Had it been by another artist, I would have DEFINITELY given it a 'thumbs down; dislike', but it WAS by the Osmonds, so I will refrain from either like or dislike.
